Okay Paizonians, I'm asking this here because I'm unsure if it needs to be in the general discussion area or elsewhere.

Here goes, as Hero Lab has been licensed as the official Character creator for the Pathfinder RPG would it be a future possibility for the Golarion IP to be licensed to the new Realmworks campaign manager software? Link below to screenshots currently in closed Beta though.

Lone Wolf Development Realmworks

I for one would love to have a fully supported and licensed campaign manager. Just a thought:)

I am totally on board with this and would LOVE to see it. Having a whole AP already in an electronic tool like Realm Works would make my life so much easier.

Silver Crusade

Our group uses Herolab every week for our game and it's a main stay program for us. My DM has a lot of notes on Word docs and Excel spreadsheets for his Campaign.

We've always said how cool would it be if there could be a Pathfinder campaign manager to go along with Herolab. We've been eyeing Realm Works since it was first mentioned, we would also LOVE to have Realmworks fully supported and licensed. Lone Wolf already raised our gaming sessions as players, now it's time for the DM with campaign managing Golarion. :)

I couldn't agree more; having licensed support for Golarion in RealmWorks would be a tremendous asset & a win/win for everyone involved from where I'm standing!

I would buy the **** out of a Golarion file for Realm Works.

Andoran

Yes, please make this happen!

Interesting. It looks like it would be ablast to use.

I support Golarion for Realmworks wholeheartedly! In fact, were that awesome combination to come about, I could see Pathfinder becoming one of my primary games to run as GM.

Qadira

From everything I've seen, this will be the gaming software of the year, the decade, the millenia, the... what was I talking about?

Oh yeah.

Realm Works + Golarion = me broke but very very happy

Shadow Lodge

Just adding my request to the pile! I love Pathfinder, and I love HeroLab. Having a Golarion campaign manager made by the quality folks at LoneWolf would be awesome!

Limited in what I can say about Realm Works since it's unreleased, but I am very interested to see what Lone Wolf does with it. If their support of Pathfinder in Hero Lab is any indication, I will pay for regular and on-going Golarion support for Realm Works.

Consider this my vote for Golarion support for Realmworks.

Grand Lodge

I suspect something like this is in the works once Realmsworks progresses out of beta status. Remember that Herolab was an established product long before Pathfinder.

Hero Lab, without question, has changed the game for a great deal of us. Yes, there have been other character management programs, and there are still others, but Hero Lab, like Pathfinder, found their way to the top.
Paizo's relationship with Lone Wolf has been a massive boon for those of us who rely on this software to put at our fingertips all that we, as players, feel we need to create and manage our characters.

Now, with Realmsworks, the GM is finally going to get the help that has sorely been needed for many long years. Every GM I know, myself included, has the massive collections of notebooks, scraps of thoughts, and numerous folders on their computer filled with snippets of gaming genius, all just waiting to be cohesively organized.

I can only hope, as a company that reminded us what it felt like to be acknowledged again, to actually matter to the people we give our money to, that there are plans to embrace this latest tool, and hit the ground running with the full support of a Golarian Data package, to at the very least, establish this world you have given us to play within. I know I personally would purchase these data packages, as I currently purchase the ones for Hero Lab, and judging by conversations I keep tripping upon, I am not alone in this mindset.

Consider this my vote, as well.

Consider this post as showing my support as well. Would love to see this happen!

I would love to see AP´s happen in the upcoming Realmworks for campaign management. +1

Just so it doesn't get lost in the archives... :)

I would love to see this happen, too!

Shadow Lodge

Adding my vote to the pile - I'd love to see Golarion packages for Realmworks!

Sounds good to me. 8^)

Count me in! :)

Grand Lodge

I'm in too. I only started buying Paizo PDF's after utilizing HL add-ons.

Would Realm Works make me buy more AP's/etc.

Yes!

Yet another vote for this to go through. I plan on getting RW as soon as it's available.

I wonder, if both companies have already talked about that possibility?!

I'd buy it in a heartbeat! So please consider it.

I would buy this in a heart beat (but without this I dont think ill get realms work)

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Count me in as well. As a matter of fact, without this Realm Works probably won't be usable for me because we mainly play the published Adventure Paths....
So please make this happen!

If only the software could be useful for anyone who doesn't use Windows.

Well, Hero Lab got a Mac port (and is coming to iPad) and Realm Works is very likely to (they've said they intend to). Both work fine in a Windows VM on a Mac. Realm Works apparently should work under WINE when WINE gets .Net 4.0 support and Hero Lab has been reported as working in the past. That's Windows, OSX and Linux covered, together with one tablet and most of the rest when WINE is ported to Andoroid.

What platform were you hoping for?

brock, no the other one... wrote:

Mainly, I use Linux. Wine isn't really an alternative currently with the .NET framework used by HeroLabs, unfortunatelay. I own a Macbook, but I'd prefer to use software liek this on my desktop machine. The iPad, I think, isn't really a good platform for a software that needs lots of data/text entry.

I would love to see official APs added to RealmWorks. I think that the number of integrations we saw thanks to the Kickstarter stretch goals might be useful in helping Paizo to gauge the profitability of adding RealmWorks support. APs for RealmWorks could easily be another subscription service, or perhaps available as a third option for each AP module (Book, PDF, RealmWorks files).

Pathfinder Comics Subscriber

Me too.
I backed the kickstarter and can't wait for early access.
