ps--shipping details coming soon--darn USPS raised rates. If you ordered 2, they both fit in one box. If you ordered 1--I'll give instructions on how to let me know to combine shipping if you want extra books in the email w/ out paying for shipping twice.

Overseas folks--if you have been holding off on that copy of Black Monastery or TOAD that you wanted...and you ordered Tsar, now is the time to order it to combine shipping. 9 pound books cost about $65 to ship--final number pending--but I can cram a heck of a lot of other books in the box and ship together for the same rate.

I am pretty sure 2 Tsars will allow only minor additions to the box; maybe 1-2 short modules. But 1 Tsar can fit, well, another 1000 pages or so in the same box.

After much evaluation--I am still pretty sure USPS Priority flat rate is going to be the best bet. I only have to add like $1 for packing tape and (lots of) bubble wrap (boxes are free). I just had 48 x 150 foot rolls of bubble wrap delivered to me this week in anticipation.

So far my Tome of Adventure Design, Black Monastery, and Tome of Horrors Complete have all arrived in good condition. At least one of the boxes had busted a corner and the bubble wrap was exposed but the book was fine. Just trying to clarify how Bill packs the books for those that have not ordered before.

Just my 2 cp.

On Tsar--I am packing w/ wrap inside a USPS priority box--not taking any chances on this thing.

What should I do when ordering to ensure they get shipped together Bill?

So... for TOAD I would just add it regularly from FGG and it will be shipped with the Tsar-monster to Korea? Maybe customs will take it to use as a weapon against the north.^^;

Thanks for the update Bill! I'd love to add something to the box to get added value for the shipping, but my budget is blown already, lol! Well, I have some gaming money left over but I'm holding onto that for the Rappan Athuk pre-orders!! Will keep an eye out for the invoice either way :-)

I will echo Silverhair about the packaging. My Black Monastery arrived with the box beat to heck, bubble wrap showing through the corner, but the book was pristine!! FGG really does not want to take chances on thier books arriving in less-than-pristine conditions.

Fantastic. It'll be highly likely that I'll be doing that. (Eamonvale and Demonheart, here I come!)

@ Arnwyn
You'll be happy with those two. Eamonvale in particular is amazing!

Frog God Games

I'll provide instructions on how to get combined shipping (fromm me only, not from Paizo--that's up to them) in the email. I am still trying to get a 1 click solution figured out. Could take a few more days.

ps--lol Loenal, and yes--I can pack a TOAD w/ it--will explain here and in the email how (as soon as I figure out how:))

That bubble wrap shell seems to go a long way. :)

I use thick bubbles

As someone who enjoys popping the bubble wrap, this is an unexpected bonus. :)

Who doesn't?

Got my shipping cost email. Will send off the money by first of next month.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

I just talked to Bill. He is sending out the shipping e-mails to everyone who has ordered Tsar (as silverhair notes above).

If you do not receive an e-mail from Bill in the next 24 hours, contact him at bill[at]talesofthefroggod[dot]com and let him know. Because that means either the address we have for you is bad or has somehow been lost. We want to make sure we've got everyone's correct shipping address, too, before they go out.

Thanks for your patience!

Greg

I am now paid!

It shall be mine!

:)

Note to self: Make sure to check the shipping address before clicking pay. Too eager I suppose. ^^;

Bill, I sent you an email as I registered my home country address and not my Korean one, if it's possible to change.

Frog God Games

If you have a bad or different address--please send me a email and CLEARLY state that in the subject line

The subject line is "Tsar shipping Address change" if that is sufficient.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Went ahead and paid my shipping cost. Now to patiently await May 28th. Arrrrgh!

Anyone from Europe/Germany/Austria/Switzerland who wants to combine shipping?

I've already asked Bill about bulk shipping options...

Frank, from Germany

Frog God Games

Frank--et al--I looked at M-bag, but USPS has discontinued that form of service. Love to hook people up w/ combined shipping, at least overseas. Its so bloody expensive to ship.

Paid and waiting!!!

Will there be a single PDF for the compilation, or only the individual PDFs currently published?

There is indeed a single pdf for the entire Slumbering Tsar Saga.

Still waiting on my shipping bill email. It hasn't been 24 hours since you posted yet though, so no pressure.

I'd send Bill a note anyway along with your current mailing address, just in case.

I don't want to seem stupid but I received my shipping email from Bill though I have no idea what to do with the three attachments included therein.

One is for US shipping I see, which is what I want. They open email files without full functionality, there is a "Pay Now" button which cannot be clicked along with one or two links which cannot be clicked.

The email says to open one of these attachments to pay shipping but I have no idea how to do that. Any help is appreciated

I apologize for the strange question as I'm sure it should be obvious what to do but there you go. I guess I'm technologically illiterate when it comes to Outlook.

Sorry, I can't help. I have received my email but as I am overseas my postage costs are substantial I am trying to figure out how to suffer the least amount of postage pain.

So it says I can combine the package with another book. Like what for example?

Any suggestions or clues ? How are other people dealing with this?

@Petrefax,
I had the same problem. Look at the bottom of the email and find the one that list $17 for US shipping then click on the gray box. At least it was gray in my email.

Sovereign Court

Paid; Can't wait now.

Paid first thing this morning, and added on the aforementioned 2 books and emailed Bill for the combo shipping.

I kind of regret, now, not adding on Black Monastery...

According to the email, you buy the additional books you want "normally" (i.e. through their website), but when checking out do NOT select any shipping (leave all the shipping choices blank). Then send an email to Bill with the subject as per the email ("Tsar Combined Shipping") letting him know what you ordered and to combine it with your Tsar shipment.

Please, anyone from FGG correct me if I'm wrong!

Frog God Games

Arnwyn; that is correct--I have been sending emails to many--bear with me...with extra orders coming in there is a lot of confusion for keeping who is buying what straight (since its collating multiple orders--something that is manual, not automated).

I am replying to everyone as fast as i can while keeping the spreadsheet of orders straight!

Frog God Games

Werecorpse--basically you can order about 1000 pages of extra books and I can fit it in the box. I had to use a large priority box to ship 1 book (medium box is too risky--would likely get side damaged), but 2 books (or about 2000 pages) will fit in 1 box. Frankly except Tome of Horrors, you could almost order our whole product line at that size.

Thanks Arnwyn and Bill for the response

Ok now that I understand the mechanics of The Big Postal Box does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I should get, anything that maybe supplements Slumbering Tsar, or any suggestions generally?

A prequel adventure, a side quest?

I prefer campaign style adventures and I have half a dozen oop frog god adventures already. the truth is I run about 10% of what I buy but have that hoarders mentality. I am too busy at the moment to read and digest much gaming material so will be putting it to one side for a few months anyway & I don't need anything specific.

Is the city of brass available?

I recall reading a while ago that Rappan Athuk was going to be reproduced, is this still a ways off?

Any help welcome

Lost City of Barakus is a 1-5th adventure that you can run your party through to prepare them for Slumbering Tsar's 7-20th spread.

Frog God Games

Rappan Athuk is still a ways off. We are not quite done with all the viciously nasty new areas.
I second TOZ's suggestion of Lost City of Barakus. Bill still has a few of those left, I do recall.

If Bill has any Bard's Gate left, it is a perfect compliment to Tsar and a hoarder's must-have.

Don't have an email from him yet so went ahead and sent him an email just now. All the information on my order receipt email was right so just included it.

Dark Archive

Wizard's Amulet then Crucible of Freya then Tomb of Abysthor IMO is a better start to Tsar or Rappan Athuk.

In fact, they're basically perfect for that purpose, since that was the line-up I envisioned when I wrote Tsar. :-)

Greg,
I had posted in this in the discussion thread of the Slumbering Tsar product description, but that thread has kind of gone to sleepy land, so I'm going to post my question here.

I noticed that the AdventureAWeek.com guys are including HeroLab files of the encounters in their adventures when you sign up as a subscriber. This is a massive time saver for those of us that use both HeroLab and d20Pro, as we can import the HL files and then export them as d20Pro files, which can then be imported into d20Pro and, voila, a GM is ready to go (mas o menos).

You can guess where I'm going with this.

I don't know if you used HeroLab to stat up encounters for Slumbering Tsar (if you didn't then please let me recommend it as an amazing tool for quickly statting even the most complex of creatures, templates included), but if you did, is there any chance that these could be made available somewhere?

I would have NO issue whatsoever paying extra for access to the HL files. d20Pro has a marketplace that could be used for this sort of thing, and in fact I'm really hoping to see the Slumbering Tsar maps available for download there.

The end goal, at least for me as a GM user of HeroLab and d20Pro, would be for an adventure to be released with both the d20Pro maps and HeroLab encounter files available as a single .zip file.

...it'd be a like a dream come true. Especially for super-uber-duper sized endeavors like Slumbering Tsar and Rappan Athuk.

Thoughts?

Hi Dr. Fever. I did not use HeroLab for the Tsar stat blocks unfortunately. I just crank them all out by hand. That said we have been in talks with HeroLab (though I don't know where Bill is with that). My understanding is that we are moving forward with the maps for d20Pro, though. So those should be available at some point. The HeroLab thing is still up in the air at this point, though.

Greg,
Sounds good. Even having the Slumbering Tsar maps in d20Pro format (minus the room numbers, traps and concealed doors) is a big step forward from starting from scratch.

I am curious if you've ever had a chance to try HeroLab for statting up encounters. After years of doing it by hand, flipping through one book after another, and then seeing how ridonkulously easy HeroLab made the process, I don't think I could ever go back.

Anyhoo, I need to get back to counting the days until my Slumbering Tsar hardcover shows up :P

@Bill
I got Petrefax' same problem with the attachments... I sent an email the moment I read it, to notify the problem of course.

I want to pay (for oversea delivery to Italy), but I can't because there are no buttons and no links.

Should I wait till someone answer me via email?

Sorry, I know Frogs are very busy right now...
