Dead Man's Chest (modified)

The skipper lay with his nob in gore
Where the Sahuagin's axe his cheek had shore
And the Sahuagin he was stabbed times four
And there they lay, and the soggy skies
Dripped down in up-staring eyes
In murk sunset and foul sunrise
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

Fifteen men of 'em stiff and stark
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
Ten of the crew had the murder mark!
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers' glut with a rotting red
And there they lay, aye, damn my eyes
Looking up at Abendego's Eye
All souls bound just contrawise
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

Fifteen men on a dead man's chest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
Drink and Besmara had done for the rest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
We wrapped 'em all in a mains'l tight
With twice ten turns of a hawser's bight
And we heaved 'em over and out of sight,
With a Yo-Heave-Ho! and a fare-you-well
And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell
Ten fathoms deep on the road to Cayden,
Yo ho ho and a bottle rummin'!

Haul Away Joe (modified)

Hosetter was the lord o Galt
With his red revolut-i-on
Away, haul away, we'll haul away Joe
But then he got his head chopped off
Which spoiled his constitut-i-on

Away, haul away, we'll haul away Joe
(To me) way, haul away
We'll heave and hang together
Away, haul away, we'll haul away Joe

Once I was in Magnimar
Digging turf and pratties
And now I'm on a Shackles ship
Hauling on sheets and braces

(Chorus)

Now when I was a little boy
And so me mother told me
That if I didn't kiss the girls
Me lips would all grow mouldy

(Chorus)

Way haul away
We'll haul away the bowline
Way, haul away
The packet is a-rollin'

The Mermaid (modified)

It was a Friday morn when we set sail
And we were not far from the land
When our captain, he spied a fishy mermaid
With a comb and a glass in her hand

Oh the ocean waves do roll
And the stormy winds do blow
And we poor sailors are skipping at the top
While the landlubbers lie down below, below, below
While the landlubbers lie down below

Up spoke the captain of our gallant ship
And a brave old skipper was he
"This fishy mermaid has warned me of our doom
We shall sink to the bottom of the sea"

(Chorus)

Up spoke the first mate of our gallant ship
And a well-spoken man was he
"I have me a wife in Ollo by the sea
And tonight she a widow will be"

(Chorus)

Up spoke the bosun of our gallant ship
And a brave young man was he
"Well I've got a sweetheart at Sandycove by the sea
And tonight she be weepin' for me"

(Chorus)

Up spoke the mage of our gallant ship
And a greasy old wizard was he
"I care much more for my books and my scrolls
Than I do for the bottom of the sea"

(Chorus)

Then up spoke the cabinboy, of our gallant ship
And a nasty little goblin was he
"I'm not quite sure I can spell mermaid
But I'm going to the bottom of the sea"

(Chorus)

Then three times around spun our gallant ship
And three times around spun she
In the Eye o' Abendego spun our gallant ship
And she sank to the bottom of the sea.

A Pirate's Life for Me

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We pillage plunder, we rifle and loot.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle and even highjack.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We kindle and char and in flame and ignite.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we're really a fright.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

We're rascals and scoundrels, we're villians and knaves.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, we're really bad eggs.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

We're beggars and blighters and ne'er do-well cads,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.

First of all, I'd just like to say that this is a great idea.

Haul Away Joe is an especially nice find with the Galt references. If I may propose a change or two and possibly another verse for it? Some change the phrasing from the original a bit more, so for someone who wants a near identical version, the one posted is better.

Spoiler:
Previous:
Hosetter was the lord o Galt
With his red revolut-i-on
Away, haul away, we'll haul away Joe
But then he got his head chopped off
Which spoiled his constitut-i-on

Altered:
Hosetter was the lord o' Galt
With his red insurrect-i-on
Away, haul away, we'll haul away Joe
But Jenni took his head clean off
There'll be no resurrect-i-on

Another changed verse (this one may be PG-13):

Spoiler:
Previous:
Now when I was a little boy
And so me mother told me
That if I didn't kiss the girls
Me lips would all grow mouldy

Altered:
Now when I was a little boy
And so me mother told me
That if I shunned Calistr'a's hand
Me groin would all grow mouldy

Furthermore, an added verse, altered from the traditional:

Spoiler:
Traditional:
Now first I met an English girl
And she was fat and lazy
And then I met an Irish girl
She damn near drove me crazy

Altered:
Now first I met a Chelaxian girl
And she tried to convert me
And then I met an Taldan girl
Her father tried to hurt me

Love the modificiations, I was keeping them as original as I could, but I think making them more rooted in Golarion the better.

Wintrit's Privateers(modified from Barrett's Privateers, recast to tell the tale of an elderly sailor who survived the ambush in Sargava by the Free Captains.

Oh the year was 4660
How I wish I was in Ostenso now
A letter of marque came from the Queen
To the scummiest vessel I've ever seen

Asmodeus damn them all
I was told we'd cruise the seas for Azlanti gold
We'd fire no hulls, shed no tears
Now I'm a broken man on a Cheliax pier,
The last of Wintrit's Privateers

Oh Elcid Wintrit cried the town
For twenty brave men all fishermen who
Would make for him the Barbazu's crew

(Chorus)

The Barbazu sloop was a sickening site
She'd list to the port and her sails in rags
And the cook in the scuppers with the staggers and jags

(Chorus)

On the Queen's birthday we put to sea
Ninety-one days to Desperation Bay
Pumping like madmen all the way

(Chorus)

On the ninety-sixth day we sailed again
When a great big Sargavan hove in sight
With our sabers rattlin' we made to fight

(Chorus)

The Sargavan lay low down with gold
She was broad and fat and loose in stays
But to catch her took the Barbazu two whole days

(Chorus)

Then at length she stood two cables away
Our twenty young men made awful din
But with one swift spell the gods done us in

(Chorus)

The Barbazu shook and pitched on her side
Wintrit was smashed like a bowl of eggs
And the main truck carried off both me legs

(Chorus)

Now here I lay in my sixty-sixth year
It's been fifty years since we sailed away
And I just made Cheliax yesterday

(Chorus)

Something a bit less boisterous...

Oh I am the wind the sea-men love,
I am steady and strong and true.

They follow my track by the clouds above,
O'er fathomless tropic blue.

Through daylight and dark, I follow the bark,
O keep like a hound on her trail,

I'm strongest at noon, yet under the moon,
I stiffen the bunt of her sail.

Also, John Masfield's "Sea Fever" can be lifted with ease.

"The Fire Ship" (repurposed)

As I strolled out one evening, out for a night's career,

I spied a lofty ship and after her did steer.

I hoisted her my signals which she very quickly knew;

And when she seed my bunting fly she immediately hove to.

CHORUS
She's a dark and rolling eye, and her hair hung down in ring-o-lets.

She was a nice girl, a decent girl, but one of the rakish kind

O, sir, you must excuse me for being out so late,

For if my parents knew of it, sad would be my fate.

My father he's a paladin, a good and honest man,

My mother she's a Sarenite, and I do the best I can...

CHORUS

I took her to a tavern and I treated her to wine,

Little did I think she belonged to the rakish kind.

I handled her, I dandled her, and found to my surprise,

She was nothing but a fires ship, rigged up in a disguise.

CHORUS

My Jolly Sailor Bold

Upon one summer's morning, I carelessly did stray,
Down by the Walls of Wapping, where I met a sailor gay,
Conversing with a bouncing lass, who seem'd to be in pain,
Saying, William, when you go, I fear you will ne'er return again.

His hair it does in ringlets hang, his eyes as black as sloes,
May happiness attend him wherever he goes,
From Tower Hill, down to Blackwall, I will wander, weep and moan,
All for my jolly sailor bold, until he does return.

My father is a merchant—the truth I now will tell,
And in great London City in opulence doth dwell,
His fortune doth exceed £300,000 in gold,
And he frowns upon his daughter, 'cause she loves a sailor bold.

A fig for his riches, his merchandize, and gold,
True love is grafted in my heart; give me my sailor bold:
Should he return in poverty, from o'er the ocean far,
To my tender bosom, I'll fondly press my jolly tar.

My sailor is as smiling as the pleasant month of May,
And oft we have wandered through Ratcliflfe Highway,
Where many a pretty blooming girl we happy did behold,
Reclining on the bosom of her jolly sailor bold.

Come all you pretty fair maids, whoever you may be,
Who love a jolly sailor bold that ploughs the raging sea,
While up aloft, in storm or gale, from me his absence mourn,
And firmly pray, arrive the day, he home will safe return.

My name it is Maria, a merchant's daughter fair,
And I have left my parents and three thousand pounds a year,
My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold,
There is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold.

Heh... long ago, pre-pathfinder, DnD had their Al Quadira setting. I created a salty sailor sha'ir pc who was far from his native lands for a pbem game... who at some point whilst in a tavern, made reference to two local 'songs' by titles I made up off the top of my head (mostly just via alliteration).

Later, I decided to write the actual songs to go with the titles... and these are what came about.

The first actually has a nautical theme, the second not so much... however I could easily see a bunchy of drunk sailors singing it... (though the Dao would have to be reworded to Shaitan for proper Pathfinderization (and dunno if the gen ever made the conversion)).

Warning: these are both a bit um... racy... so inappropriate for young children... but just the ticket for rum-soaked scurvy sea dogs.

The Caliph and the Corsaire:

The Caliph, she set sail on the ocean.
The Corsaire, he captained the crew.
The captain, he set sail on his passenger.
The crew, they knew not what to do!

The crew, they worked harder!
The land, it grew farther!
But the Corsaire were harder and farther the more!

The sky, she started to darken.
With clouds most forlorn and black.
A storm was soon all around them.
The rain fell, and n'er did slack.

The storms were enlargin'!
Their dark clouds dischargin'!
But the Corsaire were enlargin' and dischargin' the more!

Their captain was too busy to guide them.
Though as loud as they could they did call.
In anger they banged on his cabin.
But he heeded them in no way at all.

The crew, they kept callin'!
Their fists, they were ballin'!
But the Corsaire were callin' and ballin' the more!

The wind she did blow even harder.
The ship she strained 'neath the stress.
Without the captain right there to lead them
Crew and vessel were in a horrible mess!

The wind, she were moanin'!
The ship, she were groanin'!
But the Caliph were moanin' and groanin' the more!

The sails, they did shred in the onslaught.
The storm seemed to roar in its glee.
The crew they all cowered in fear!
For only death and disaster did they see.

The sky, she were howlin'!
The sea, she were growlin'!
But the Caliph were howlin' and growlin' the more!

The waves they crashed over the railing.
Men and gear were washed over and lost.
The wind blew the waves even higher.
With force, on the ship, they were tossed.

The air, she were wailin'!
The waves, they were flailin'!
But the Caliph were wailin' and flailin' the more!

Suddenly the ship started turning.
A maelstrom of vast size drew them in.
All hands, they did die to that monster.
And none were ever heard from again

The ship, she went down.
All hands, they did drown.
But Corsaire and Caliph, went down ever more!

To this day, on the sea, you can hear them.
On the air, in the crash of the waves.
A joy to most who do sail her,
But death if you do so unwise.

The Sultana and the Six Sinful Genies:

The Sultana sat upon her throne
Looking out upon her realm.
She sighed, a sad and lonely sound,
And called her wizard down.

"You!" she cried, with lips of red
"A service, or I'll have you killed!"
"Use what magic and power you have.
I need to be fulfilled!"

The wizard smiled, wide and bright,
And reached beneath his gown.
The object he pulled was long and hard.
He laid his treasure down.

The Sultana gazed in wonder
At this new and magic sight.
The wizard grinned and told her,
"Quick! Rub with all your might!"

The Sultana gripped with both her hands
And moved them up and down.
But nothing came, but the wizards smile.
The Sultana she did frown.

"What is this?" she cried, unfulfilled.
"Have you lost your head?!"
The wizard grinned "The magic is done,
It will come this night in bed."

With a cry of joy, the Sultana left,
To her rooms to wait.
She gathered pillows all around
And layed there waiting Fate.

In the dark of night, it finally came,
A column of smoke and heat.
The Sultana cried out at what she saw:
A mighty and powerful efreet.

"At your call I have come" The efreeti roared,
"Your wish is my command!
The powers of flame and heat are mine.
What is it that you demand!?"

"I need fulfillment, I need release!
Help me with your fire!"
The genie, he drew his flaming sword,
And gave her her desire.

The efreet left, leaving naut but smoke.
The Sultana lay with a grin.
But with a blast of wind, and a gust of air,
Before her stood a djinn.

"At your call I have come!" The djinni roared,
"Your wish is my command!
The powers of air and wind are mine.
What is it that you demand!?"

The Sultana clapped and thanked the Fates,
"I have hungers that must be sated!"
And it was no longer the wind, that blew and blew,
Her hungers, they soon abated.

The djinn did leave, from whence it came,
But the Sultana she did pale,
When the very stone of the palace floor
Did produce a mighty dao.

"At your call I have come!" The dao roared,
"Your wish is my command!
The powers of stone and earth are mine.
What is it that you demand!?"

Soon the two of them were one,
The Sultana she did moan.
The genie's body, like the rest of him,
Remained as hard as stone.

The dao left, into the floor.
And the Sultana just sat and stared
When a shower of rain, moved and formed
A glorious, powerful marid.

"At your call I have come!" The marid roared,
"Your wish is my command!
The powers of water and wave are mine.
What is it that you demand!?"

She told him of her insatiable thirst,
And how he could pay his debt.
The genie did work to quench that need,
And left her dripping wet.

The marid did leave, to the Sultana's chagrin.
Hoping even more would appear.
When with a clap of thunder, and a boom of smoke,
There stood the Grand Vizier!

"At your call I have come!" The Vizier roared,
"Your wish is my command!
The powers of all the genies are mine!
What is it that you demand!?"

"Give me all that the others could not"
The Sultana she did plea
The genie went to it with all his will.
The Sultana squealed in glee.

The Vizier left, after many hours,
But for reasons she could not ken,
the Sultana her needs they did remain,
When appeared a lowly gen.

"At your call I have come!" The gen did cry,
"Your wish is my command!
No powers or gifts are mine to use.
What is it that you demand!?"

The Sultana stared and laughed aloud,
But explained her need to the tiny gen.
The gen went faithfully to fulfill his task...
And was never seen again.

The next morning the wizard enquired
Into the Sultana's look of bliss.
"Size and power are not the key", she said
With a smile, "But proper placement is."

Man oh man oh snap, I can't wait until the musicians in my group get ahold of these... They already know most of the originals, and EvilMinion's one's will definitely be used at my table.

Please consider these all "Pirated."

(Sorry, couldn't help myself.)

Yes! I so love stuff like this for a campaign. These songs are great!

I'm not that much of a musician, but these are pretty awesome. I'm surprised nobody has posted "What Will We Do With a Drunken Sailor," but I'm not sure it needs much modification.

Does anybody have any suggestions for good bands or singers that I could play during the game?

Silver Crusade

I'd say the drunken sailor song is a good choice.

LankyOgre wrote:

I feel like the Dropkick Murphys is perfect for this game, and there's a group called Midnight Syndicate who's deal is pretty much RPG background music. Wizards stuck one in Ebberron's Sharn-City of Towers book, and I actually found one for 3.5 D&D on the cheap one time. They have a few tracks that remind me of swashbucklery scenes...

I'm also very lucky in that several of my players have recordings from previous bands of theirs that are very much "Pirate Rock."

If you're looking for more authentic music, I suggest Bounding Main and Brobdingnagian Bards.

if you can get a hold on them, the german band "elfenstern" has a nice set of albums of which, "into the Blue" provides good background soundtrack for naval situations. All of it instrumental

"The Devil Down Below" by Gaelic Storm (Granted, it'll need some changes to place names to set it in Golarion, but I'll leave that to someone else.)

I used to be a fisherman, on the icy crests we'd ride
Like a banshee on the wind, we'd sail the ocean wide.
From the shoals of Yarmouth bay to Newfoundland we'd go...

Chorus:
and we'd shout! Shout! Shout! Shout at the Devil down below

Out to the snows of Greenland, into the screaming gale
Out into the storm, chasing down the whale
When the harpoon struck, the mighty fish would blow...

and we'd shout! Shout! Shout! Shout at the Devil down below

In our bunks we'd find no solace, no comfort just remorse
We'd curse at the bad fortune that set us on this course
Gathered 'round the lamplight we'd sing both high and low...

and we'd shout! Shout! Shout! Shout at the Devil down below

From the rocks of Lizard Reef to Plymouth we are bound
The skipper's yelling blood as the jagged cliffs we round
Jack Duggan in the foresail, Billy Reilly in the crow...

and we'd shout! Shout! Shout! Shout at the Devil down below

Only when we'd quenched the mighty vessel's appetite
Would the captain tell us lads, "We'll be going home tonight!"
We'd turn to the raging sea and raise our fists and yell,
"You won't be seeing us today you won't be seeing us in Hell!"
Once ashore we'd head into the pub for a tankard full of ale
One day would turn into a week and the time would come to sail
We'd say goodbye to the girls to we love, then off from the shore we'd row...

and we'd shout! Shout! Shout! Shout at the Devil down below

How about:

My good old Captain said to me
Go down, you Bloodcove Roses, go down
We'll plunder to a high degree
Go down, you Bloodcove Roses, go down

(Chorus) Oh, your pouts and poses!
Go down, ye Bloodcove Roses, go down

Around the Eye we'll have to sail
Go down, you Bloodcove Roses, go down
For sunken ships can tell no tales!
Go down, ye Bloodcove Roses, go down

(Chorus)

'Round Rahadoum we've reeled and rolled
Go down, ye Bloodcove Roses, go down
They're godless, but they've plenty gold!
Go down, you Bloodcove Roses, go down

(Chorus)

'Round Katapesh we'll have to go
Go down, ye Bloodcove Roses, go down
'Cause that is where the hot winds blow
Go down, ye Bloodcove Roses, go down

(Chorus)

In Eleder we'll dance around
Go down, ye Bloodcove Roses, go down
We'll drive the roses underground!
Go down, ye Bloodcove Roses, go down

(Chorus)

Last verse needs work...

Wow, it's nice to see that this thread got some notice now that the AP's out.

As I mentioned in another thread, I just spent the last week putting together a mix of shanty's and ballads, all of which use either only vocals or instruments that are period appropriate. It's a veritable treasure trove of adaptability. So dig in and enjoy!

So, I can see this thread hasn't been used in some time, but recently I've been running the SnS AP for a group of 5 players, and one of them wrote me this little rendition of "Under the Sea," the song from The Little Mermaid, based on our own adventure. Fittingly, his character's name is currently Sebastian (his second character). I thought it was genius, so I needed some place to memorialize it, and this looked like a good spot. Again, I take no credit for this...

The bilges is always cleaner
On somebody else's boat
You dream about sailing out here
But can you keep a ship afloat?
Just look at the seas around you
You’ll wish you had stayed ashore
When suddenly beasts surround you
To drag you to the ocean floor
Oh ho!

Under attack!
Under attack!
Come grab a sword now
Into the horde now
Beat them all back!
It’s gonna be a sleepless night
Up on the deck we have to fight
If these guys beat us
They gonna eat us
Under attack!

Out here all the pilots’ jumpy
As they sail this cursed sea
They carryin’ precious booty
That covetous eyes will see
Black flags be on the horizon
Be careful for what you wish
You may be the new fresh meat, but
There’s always a bigger fish!

Under attack!
Under attack!
Here comes the ropes now
There goes our hopes now
We’re on the rack!
Forget the place you want your bones
Now they belong to Davy Jones
You’ll take no coffer
Down to that locker

Under attack! (Under attack!)
Under attack! (Under attack!)
Critical failure
No way to sail, her
Hull’s filled with flak!
You thought you’d take it to the bank
But they tell no tales who walk the plank
So come on get Kraken,
Give them a smackin’
Under attack!

Roll initiative
Ye better roll high
If ye wish to live
You gotta master the die
So say a quick prayer
And knock on some wood
The GM’s about to roll
(Oh no)
Sebastian tries talk
For stalling the clock
They’re flanked, unaware
By stealthy Adair
Urbeck’s got the spunk
But can’t shoot when he’s drunk
And Maia can’t tell friend from foe!

Under attack! (Under attack!)
Under attack! (Under attack!)
Character’s dying
Players are crying
Matt gives no slack!
We haven’t got the luck to live
But we have run out of f***s to give
So we’ll keep on sailing
Trying and failing
Under attack!
We won’t go quiet
We’re gonna try it
Under attack!
Don’t be a mackerel,
Conquer the Shackles!
Don’t be a hagfish
Do it for Baggrish!
Don’t try to hide it,
You are a pirate!
Under attack!

My character, a ratfolk wizard, went a bit crazy, which he attributed to taking Krelloort's trident Zul. The poem I/he wrote soon after (Minor spoilers for one encounter of Raiders of the Fever Sea):

I came upon it a fool
When it pressed it's point home in my flesh:
For this weapon, merciless, cruel,
All the sea is just grain to be threshed.
My blood was fair shed on that cold ocean bed
By the bloodiest trident, my Zul.

I struck at once for my jewel
'Gainst incompetent mutant's rude claws
'Til victory settled our duel
With sahuagin dead by my paws.
So useless his quarrel! My arm turned to coral
Was the coldhearted blessing of Zul!

The heart's final shudder is Zul!
The tempest's black mutter is Zul!

The rage of the depths and the three tines of death,
The breakers' mad roll and the hardening soul,
And the darkest of power to rule -

The gnash of my teeth is in Zul!
The flash of my ire is Zul!

Two died in that pool, a new future unspools,
There is no Softpaws, only Zul.

This one was for rabble-rousing purposes in the game:

Have you high-hearted salts heard the cold-blooded cackles
And the crash of the lash as it slashes your back?
I know that you have from the scars 'round your wrists,
The birthmark of us born in Shackles.

Were you ever impressed by that rawhide caress
Or did you think of the chink in your clink-clanking chains?
Pirate blood dripped from the nine-tailed whip,
A pirate soul's promise, a pirate's sole promise

That no chain's been ever made that can hold the likes of me!
No chain's been ever made that can hold the likes of me!

Who were you before you found saltwater's berth?
Who here cares? We're the rarest of fair-minded folk:
Can you fight? Can you sing? Can you live free and wild?
Then you're ours, and that's all, for all that it's worth,
And it's all that it's worth,
Row for all that you're worth

'Gainst the tides and the reefs and the devils' deep sea
And let fools try to rule us, we jewels of brine!
We sail no wind but our own! We follow no course but our own!
Treat us like something you own and you'll see

That no chain's been ever made that can hold the likes of me!
No chain's been ever made that can hold the likes of me!

When the devils breathe doubt, promise gold to re-bind you,
Show the brag of our flags to those nagging sea-lice.
They won't be the first to make mortal mistakes
And a curt cutlass blow will serve to remind you

That try all you might with your carrion kiss,
There's not one true-blue's son will be won back to you.
Our king is the hurricane, queen the dread vortex,
Who've no natural taste for a boot on the neck
And only this binds us, pirate spirits are free!
The proof? Lords and swabs, pirates all, raise your wrists!

No chain's been ever made that can hold the likes of me!
No chain's been ever made that can hold the likes of me!

I (badly) sang these after jotting them down to provide a little extra pirate-sauce to our game and give some legends/foreshadowing for future encounters or events. Thar may be spoilers here... I'll never tell.

A couple more shanties to add to the Shackles:

Voices in the Waves (Sugar in the Hold)

I wish I was in Maidenspool, living in my fine stone house
But I'm hear-ing voices in the waves below,
Below, below, below

Chorus:
Hey, ho, below, below
Hear those voices in the waves below
Hey, ho, below, below
Hear those voices in the waves below

Bradesmar Wache had a mighty boast
Drenchport soon will be a ghost
But the Master of Gales called the wind to blow
Hear those voices in the waves below

(Chorus)

Locatha came up from the bay
Maidenspool won’t be the same
They drowned Wache’s Sunburst as their pay
And her voice is in the waves below

(Chorus)

Now Wache shouts out in into the wind
The Master must pay for his sin
And he cries out, "Ten diamonds for his skin"
Hear those voices in the waves below

Damned if it Didn’t Rain (Rollin Down to Old Maui)

When Sargava came to the Hurricane
We Pirates said we’d go
And we gave no damn when the Chels showed up
With their devils and crossbows
For freedom blood was spilled in a flood
And the Chels we killed and maimed
And though didn’t-give-a-damn when we drank our rum,
We were damned if it didn’t rain

(Chorus)
Damned if it didn’t rain, me boys
We were damned if it didn’t rain
And though we didn’t-give-a-damn when we drank our rum,
We were Damned if it didn’t rain

When Norgorber came to to his Priestess Main
Aiger stole Black.finger’s kiss
Captain Tevenida, known to murder men,
And make the Chelish piss,
She climbed the To-wer Black, A trap
While wielding magic blade
She never left The Black Tower’s cleft
We were damned if it didn’t rain

(Chorus)

The Cutlass Lass was a ship so fast,
It could fly right through the Eye
But a dragon beast, covered shells and teeth
Pursued her for her prize
She broke off sweet and through steam and sleet,
The Cutlass Lass made sail,
Hirgenzosk Caught her with his breath
A flaming blazing gale

(Chorus)

When Endymion was a Chelish Son,
And His wife a Chelish whore
He found her swoon In the bed of a Thrune,
And against him Vengeance swore
Now the Devil’s Own call the Shackles home
And Arronax calls us mates
When he sailed to town, Chelish upside down
And across it ol’ Crossbones

(Chorus)

And though we didn’t-give-a-damn when we drank our rum,
We’re Damned if it didn’t rain
And though we don’t give a damn when we drink our rum,
We’re Damned if it didn’t rain

While not a shanty, I did some poetry called Harrigan’s Folly. Some spoilers to IoEE.

Some explanations of names:
Orpheus of the Black Hand is the original captain
The Lament of the Fallen is the name of our ship
