Here's the trailer for Iron Sky
It's Nazis! From the Moon!
Bwahahahahahah.....
I bet they don't have much fun in Stalingrad...[kudos if you get the reference!]

A) It's not clear that was Palin.
B) Thanks for being political trolls.
C) PMG or Ross, could you just go ahead and delete this thread, since we obviously can't enjoy some good, old-fashioned, humor without somebody trying to bring f*$@ing politics into it.
Aberzombie - I can understand with election time in the US getting closer and the vitriol being sprayed by people who should be working together to fix their countries problems reaching levels of untold stupidity... that politics and political jokes can grate on the nerves.
Think about this from a German perspective this is an out and out Political comedy mocking a terrible period of their history.....the Politics in Germany is such that movies and books about Nazis are strictly regulated. Acting in anything Nazi related can destroy your career.
Yet they are showing this movie in Berlin so they can laugh at the stupidity of politics.
Edit:removed a clarification as it was not necessary

Anyone else notice the earth ship is named USS George HW Bush?
Not sure if that is suposted to be Palin, in the trailer she says y'all and has a bit of a southern accent. Palin is not from the south.
This movie was made by people from Finnland, Germany and Australia - they in general would not know or care about the regional variation in accents as much as you would be able to tell me the difference in accents between somebody from Wagga Wagga and Avalon.
We can tell when Hollywood uses English or kiwi actors to play Australians or worse watch the Great Escape and pick the Australian character being played by the American actor.
As sad as it may sound for the rest of the world, there are only 3 accents in the US
. They are New York, Californian and Cowboy. Palin sounds like a cowboy to the rest of the world.

Yeh Coburn.... He was a badass anyway so I didnt much.
The woman playing the PotUS is a Kiwi - southern/cowboy is probably easiest for her to do.
I am so bad at regional US accents I originally thought Fargo was set in Canada....
Given its proximity near the Canadian border, that's actually a fair assessment of dialect. I'm a U.S. citizen and I thought it sounded Canadian.
Then again, I also have only 40% of my hearing, wear hearing aids, and rely on lip reading, so I'm probably not the best to judge this. :)

I think this film will be hilarious. I hope it throws a jab or two at U.S. Militantism and Empire. It'll be interesting to hold up a political mirror and giggle at the atrociousness of it all.
Looked pretty clear from the trailer that there's a setup for asking the question, "Who's worse? The US or Space Nazis from the Moon?"
I'd be insulted, if not for a couple things.
First of all, 'space nazis' are such a trope. However, since these are ACTUAL Space Nazis... some reason I find that refreshing. I'm sure this will be awesome tongue-in-cheek fun.
Second of all, let those Oceanic and European gits tease and jab all they like. They're just envious of America and that's the best they can come up with to make fun. They're still stuck living in Oceania and Europe ;)

Who's seen the film or planning to see the film then? I hear it's out in the US this week. Saw it in Europe and it's a great special effects action blast!
Apparently it was a massive hit in the US, because it does parody everyone really. There's a free to view prequel comic book on the official site that tells the story of how the Nazi's left Earth www.ironsky.net

I saw it a while ago. Thought it was fantastic. The guys I saw it with thought it was the worst thing ever. I suspect they are just upset that the Nazi
Or maybe they just have no sense of humour. It's a lot more... silly than I'd expected, but I liked that.
