Rumor was there were 4 bards in that party along with the alchemist...
As the alchemist in question, I can confirm that there were four bards in the party. It actually worked because they were all different archetypes designed to compliment each other - a traditional bard for competence bonuses, an Archivist for insight bonuses, and a Flagbearer for morale bonuses (the fourth one specialized in save-or-suck spells, IIRC).
