3.5 adventures with PF rules?

Conversions

I know one of the intents behind Pathfinder was to be backward compatible with 3.5 stuff, does that hold true?

I'm rarin' to run Age of Worms for my local Pathfinder-lovin' gaming group, but don't feel like converting 20 levels of adventures to official PF status.

Aside from calculating the occasional CMD when needed, is there anything inherently disruptive about having PF characters fighting 3.5 monsters?

I could probably be convinced to convert those monsters with class levels to PF classes, but I'd just as soon rather leave as is and go with the given feat selections/spell lists/etc. from the previous edition.

Any thoughts?

No problem. Some encounters will turn out differently, but it should all work just fine.

I have run the 3.0 adventures The Sunless Citadel and The Forge of Fury along with the 3.5 adventures The Sons of Gruumsh and The Twilight Tomb, all with very little in the way of conversion, and they seemed to work just fine.

It works. I ran AoW. Now you will have to calculate CMD, but it works, and since the PF classes got a boost, and monsters in PF are on average a little tougher than the 3.5 version you might want to boost the boss fights. I mostly kept any non-boss fight like it was in 3.5 though. You should also use the 3.5 experience table.

In chapter 3 of AOW the XP is off. They don't give you enough. I added enemies in.
