I am experimenting with learning how to DM. Last night I started a "one on one" adventure with my wife using the expeditous retreat compendium. I must say, these one v ones are a nice progression between the supplied box adventures and designing your own. Great way to learn DM skills with little 'pressure'. Cheers!

This is great, I am going to be introducing my girlfriend to roleplaying and doing a one on one campaign, so this book looks perfect for me! Have you found it hard to convert the info to Basic Box format?
No I haven't had any issues thus far but I use the CRB as well. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well the paper minis and flipmat worked for it too. Currently finishing up "Gambler's Quest" for a rogue. The entire quest is focused solely on the tenets of the rogue. The hardest part on the DM side is managing the NPCs. Super easy to get the PC up and running too, you can just grab Merisiel's info, follow the guide to level her up appropriately, and you're off to the races.
