Please post what your eidolon(s) look like. Include links to the artwork. Stats are optional (if not a link, please use spoilers).

I predict this will be a really fun thread. Possibly helpful to summoner players too. :D

Arg not got artwork up on my photobucket but in the four pathfinder games I've run in the last two years, I've had three Summoner PC's and one npc boss fight.

Tarot Dragoon, Player in Rise of the Runelords.
Eidolon was Mogwa, a cute humanoid Bipedal Lion patterned after the Moomba from Final Fantasy VIII. The Rune on forehead looked like a right hand curved edge pentagram, kinda like a shuriken.

Lucky Remee, halfling Player in Legacy of fire. Eidolon was was never given a name, as the player left after 2 sessions. But the Eidolon was basically a Dracotaur with chinese dragon whiskers that wielded a halberd and had the player ride on it's back. The Rune on chest was a circle with the Chinese symbol for Lung/Long aka dragon in the centre.

Ta'Var the Wanderer, long standing Mwangi Half-Elf player in Serpent's skull. Eidolon is essentially an extra planar Tricerotops. The rune on his forehead looks a cross between a leaf and a spear point. This ones interesting, as the locals call his Eidolon a 'Chipewe' after the mythical cryptid of the Congo and as such are often frightened or in awe of his powers. Ose'Kaa is the Eidolons name, and each evolutions been described along with a change in appearance. Quadruped whose front and back legs are more like a feline or Komodo Dragons to incorporate claws and the pounce evo. The crest has become more like a shield, with his scales taking on a metallic hue to show the improved natural armor. Jaw has become a powerful muscular beak like a bird of prey to show the bite and the horns have grown longer to account for bite and improved natural weapon. Recently rune-like patterns has appeared on the crest, horns and scales to represent magic weapon and fire resistance evo. I think for level 6 or 7 he plans on getting a Stegosaurus or Ankylosaurs tail...

Fun fact about Ose'Kaa is throughout the entire campaign we've had him communicate in grunts, stomps, snorts, sniffs and head waving (which was rp'ed out and translated by Ta'var). Couple of sessions ago he revealed that he spoke fluent Polyglot and Common, he just never had any desire to talk to the other party members because they thought him a mindless animal. Ta'vars currently teaching him Chess.

Lastly, a modified take on Yarzoth in Serpents skull. Eidolon was Char'Liss, a Eidolon that appeared to be two snakes coiled together but was in fact one creature with two heads. The symbol on forehead was crossed snake fangs. One head had it's own, personality and named 'Char', this was the one with Poison fangs. The other Head 'Liss', was a mindless beast that was subsumed by Yarzoths personality. Liss spoke with Yarzoths Ventriloquism ability and she used unfetter and share sense to send the creature off on scouting missions and for RPing.

Oh and a final point. We've been using customised summon lists to represent the personalisation of the two last summoners at medium levels.
Ta'var for example summons Celestial Monkeys, Tapirs and birds of paradise. While as his earth elemental take the form of Ankylosaurs, his water elementals are Icythiosaurs ad his wind elementals are pterosaurs.
While as Yarzoth in contrast could summon Winged serpents, spitting cobras and green mamba. And her elementals all had a distinctly serpentine feel. During the confrontation she used an invisibility potion to hide whilst pitting her eidolon and summons against that of Ta'var and his allies. Very fun Boss battle.

Huh? Figured this thread would have a billion replies by now...
You disappoint me Paizo boards XP

I don't have a picture but the one summoner I have played to any length was a synthesist who called himself Sim while in his fused state.

He was bipedal, just shy of eight feet in height, and well muscled but not bulky with light grey skin. He had long white hair, pointed ears(Length was between elf and half-elf), yellow eyes, and ridges like a dire bear that later extended into slightly curving horns. He had claws, a bite attack, and a gore attack.

The Exchange

I am considering a synthasist that has an angelic look for carrion crown. hopefully the ignorant peasants won't want to kill angels.....

My Eidolon is a 12 foot Fiendish Squirrel. He will nom your face off.

I am currently building a level 6 summoner for a friends campaign.
Quadruped, with claws and a tail sting. I am going with this for its look.

Going to recolor the lava green to represent his acid energy damage evolution. Thinking of giving it the climb evolution and that feat that gives an attack bonus to charges from up above. Have it climb up things and jump off to pounce.

A Dragon, because I can't get past being a fanboy for them cliched as it is.

I worked up an NPC back when the class was in beta testing. It was a harpy summoner who had an ice roc for an eidelon. Blue and white feathers, blue beak, icy white eyes. Really nasty combo since she'd fly around on it's back with a lance, and cast improved invisibility on both of them. Imagine getting spirited charged by a harpy with a +2 frost lance, and the eidelon doing a spring attack as they both charged past. Oh and the roc had cold attacks on all natural attacks. The symbol on the roc's head read 'Icewing' in Harpy.

Worked up another NPC that ended up being bypassed by the group. It was a young boy who had been missing for days. The parents said he was always running off into the forest with his 'pretend friend'.

The PCs were supposed to find him in a clearing with a four-armed woman in cheesecake armor, wielding two scimitars dual handed, fighting off a dozen goblins. The boy's 'pretend friend'. The symbol on her forehead was 'Guardian' in draconic.

This. Dear Lord, the awesome. This.
Raek Light Warbeast

Professor Fizzlepop Geargrinder (Synthesis Summoner)

Fizzy's a tinkerer and inventor, and he uses a suit of power armor (eidolon) he's invented and on which he's constantly tinkering; changing this, that and the other thing (using evolution points), and even occasionally straps some mechanism or doo-hickie on it on the fly (Evolution Surge). He makes other various tinker-toys and projects (craft construct), but M.E.C.H.A. (Mechanically Enhanced Combat and Heavy-lift Armor) is his one true love.

The current form of M.E.C.H.A. is similar to the Iron Giant, but with a pair massive swords across his back.

I had a half-elf summoner who got to level 8 with a Quetzcoatl based brightly colored lightning based eidolon. Very cool and flavorful if not very effective. That damn elf died to a greataxe crit one level before I could've used it as a mount.

I had a Vudran Summoner with 'He Who Shall Not Be Named'....
Eidolon with a dozen arms, each holding a different weapon, looked like some kind of Indian deity.

Had a Half-Elf Paladin/Synthesist whose Rune was also the Holy Symbol of his Deity, in his merged form he basically grew wings and became an incarnation of divine justice. :D

Right now playing another Synthesist, this time it doesn't look all that different from his normal form, just grows claws from his feet, big fangs, and looks more magical.. (lots of Skilled: X evolutions)

My Eidolon is Ripper Jack. At level 3 he appeared as a black haired werewolf with glowing red eyes. His rune is a red glowing hourglass (his mistress personal symbol, her name is Widow) At 7th Ripper Jack has two wolfen heads and his jaws/claws drip acid continually. Ripper's build is as follows (Widow is a half elf summoner using the apg fav class option and has 2 slots in the extra evolution feat)

Evolution points: 13
Improved natural armor, magic attacks, improved damage (claws), bite x 2, climb, reach (claws), extra head, rend, energy attacks (acid)

Since "growing" his second head, Ripper Jack's personality has split in two as well. The right head is Ripper, and represents his viscious animalistic side. The left head is Jack and he lives to please his mistress. (Who's a good doggie? You are! Yes you are! Tail thumping and whining follows) Ripper never speaks to anyone other than Widow, but Jack is inquisitive and exciteable. (Much to Ripper's annoyance)

Anyway, Ripper Jack is a basic mellee monster but combined with a climb speed and the skills of perception, stealth, and disable device he's also a decent scout and (very) basic thief.

Also of note, Widow uses the share spells optionto buff RJ as much as possible (Mage armor, bull's str, displacement, etc)

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Here's a picture of the mini I just finished for my lvl1 Synthesist / Eidolon General Zhao.

A mini wrapped in translucent polymer clay, Looks a bit rough now but conveys the idea. I'm hoping my sculpting skills advance if I get the chance to work the General over a few times as he evolves...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Irori worshipping monk/synthesist called Waltder (Walt to his friends) - his Eidolon(-suit) looks like a giant mouse... you know, kinda like this - and is called Mickey.

...I'm thinking of getting a dog as well.

Some fairly creative ideas in here.

I had one char idea I was going to play in a game that never got off the ground. My eidolon looked like a fiendish butler, serving a foppish, rather physically lazy, rich boy.

Any of Lovecrafts monsters make good , otherworldly eidolons.

I did something similar. Initially, the eidolon was going to be a spider-legged vehicle with retractable wings, called the Arachnothopter. Then I read about the synthesist, and got the power armor idea (kept the wings, lost the legs).

Later, I multiclassed with Artificer. Lots of new gadgets for the Brass Angel.

My eidolon's name is Loiosh. Take a guess.

I have two - one as a PC and one as a recurring villian NPC.

The PC is a somewhat portly little halfling Master Summoner who's eidolon looks like a grey, furry serpent with a pair of long spindly arms (similar to a furry toap yuan ti). He's small size though, serving as our party's rogue with skill emphasis on Stealth, Perception, Disable Device and Use Magic Device (for wands in combat). When the character hits 11, I'll give him a second 'build' as a flying mount - same look except medium and sans the arms.

The NPC is a charismatic female Summoner who leads whatever the current 'nemesis' party is... her eidolon appears as a massive demonic wolf with an oversized head and oversized claws. His skin is a dark metallic blue and he's covered with glowing gold runes - magical tatoos that she inscribes upon his skin.

I wanted to make one for RotRL who's eidolon looked like the Sandpoint Devil. It wasn't, it was just shaped by the stories he'd heard about it, and if the two's paths ever crossed...

I am making a summoner for an evil campaign (and also a BBEG in another one I am running) whose eidolon is flavoured as an enslaved outsider who he experiments on.

So basically the eidolon looks like an angel who has a bane -like mask and suit (with the tubes and such) so basically picture an angel wearing this:

Bane

My stepdaughter has one that looks like Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon.

My serpentine eidolon started out looking like a wingless lillend.

I expect her to look something like this by maximum level.

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

My Osirion Summoner for PFS has an eidolon that is a giant purple scorpion (medium sized) with electric pincers and a 10 ft reach tail sting.

It is based on the Stormclaw Scorpion miniature.

I use a Reaper elf fairy for my Eidolon. It was a case of having a figure I was looking for an excuse to use and a winged Fey Eidolon works well for me.

Sczarni

*Looks at Eidolon...*

"He looks like big toad... with long tongue. Is why he named Toad, like me..."

I had a synth. His form was a multi headed dragon, and each head was a different color that matched its breath weapon.

Then I saw a fig for "Aspect of Tiamat."

It looked exactly how I pictured the eidolon.

Sczarni

My eidolon is a green dragon because I am one cheesy sob. At level 5, he gets his wings like the little angel he isn't.

The summoner is being built as a diplomatic UMD check when not buffing the eidolon.

Silver Crusade

I totally ripped off the Displacer Beast. For my Inquisitor/Summoner multi-class for pfs.

I was originally going to have an eidolon shaped like a giant rooster and make a lot of predictable jokes about it, but when my girlfriend decided to base her PC on Tsunade from the old Kabuki Clash game I decided to go with a toad shaped eidolon instead.

That's a long story, but Chura the Demon Eating Toad has a long tongue (tentacle with Reach and Grab) and a rune on his forehead which says "Tongue" in Japanese. Painting something that detailed on a mini can be a pain, so I've taken to printing stuff out, gluing it to the mini, and smoothing things out with paint and clearcoat.

I've only played a summoner once, my eidolon looked like this.

How funny - I'm presently in a special side-Module in which I play a Master Summoner whose Eidolon is also based on that...except it's a sort of Dakini (a fearsome-looking but benevolent spirit of Buddhism - the Summoner's name is Siddhartha, and its name is Chandaka) whose terrifying appearance is tempered by a vague but palpable aura of benevolence. Chandaka does look more colorful than that, though, perhpas with red and purple highlights on its carapace. Being the Lesser Eidolon of a Master Summoner, however, it functions primarily as servant and porter with supplementary thieving and mobility skills, and employs magic items (it has both Skill Focus and the Skilled Evolution in Use Magic Device) as much as its claws and bite (which it just achieved this week and has yet to employ) in combat. It also has Improved Dexterity and Skilled (Perception) at the moment.

Scarab Sages

Then there's my level 7 Summoner, whose Eidolon looks more or less like one of the sandworms from Beetlejuice - smaller, sleeker, and perhaps more colorful in some way, with a more dramatic "slide whistle" double-jaw (which is how its innate reach with its bite attack works - "ha-ha, I'm out of its range!" "Guess again - *ZOT!*" "AAAAUUGHHH!!!"). Its name is Naghamadi, and with maximum ranks maintained in Perception and Sense Motive, it is Lucija's surrogate common sense, as well as her magically flying mount, and a vicious bodyguard with Combat Reflexes and whose natural attacks are both infused with magic and white-hot. It is Lucija's personal tutor in heretical planar and religious lore, is exceptionally intelligent for an Eidolon (presently 10, with the intent of raising it at least to 12), and has been knows to display a seldom-seen neurotic, pedantic side when disputes on its areas of expertise come up (such as when we visited a temple of an Empyreal Lord, and when the time came to listen to the resident ranking priest's sermon, he started preaching things that it recognized simply weren't true - after an initial shocked outburst from Naghamadi, Lucija was forced to say something along the lines of, "excuse me Father, but the freakish otherworldly serpent I summoned from the unknowable abyss says you're wrong" - it turned out the priest was actually a disguised fiend who had infiltrated the temple).
