A Little Something for the Carrion Crown - Grine Sculpt

Miniatures

Silver Crusade

So I've been trying to source minis for the complete Carrion Crown path, and really couldn't find a good miniature to represent Grine, the Dark Creeper Alchemist disguised as a Gnome. So I decided to make one! Unfortunately, scale got away from me a little bit, but I think the overall result is good. I certainly learned alot (like how hard it is to keep a mini to "small" size.) So while not a complete failure, this one gets mostly chalked up to "learning experience" as this guy is definitely the tallest Gnome ever in existence! (Same size as a reg 28mm fig.)

Here he is:

I welcome your feedback!

I love the brooding look to the eyes, and awesome detail on the clothing! Great sculpt overall, I look forward to seeing it painted.

Do you plan to make a mold and cast copies?

Great work!
The face is thoroughly outstanding. I love it!

Thanks, guys. I may mold it, Adamantine, if other people wanted some, otherwise it's not worth the trouble.

That is the sort of thing that makes me feel incredibly untalented and inept. I'm amazed by your skill. I've never really tried much of any sculpting with green stuff, but I'm quite sure that I would never be able to make anything like this.

Nonsense! Practice makes...better. (No-one's perfect!) You should see the first green stuff conversions I did, some 10 years ago. Not pretty...

That's amazing! I am in awe of your talents. Makes me want to practice more with the greenstuff myself (I am nowhere near being able to sculpt anything except maybe a lemure, but we've all got to start somewhere).

Thanks!

Indeed, anything worth doing well is worth doing poorly for a time. :D If just do a lot of something, you'll get better at it.
