Society Dhampir Dirge Bard build (Help please)

I normally build more roleplay type characters, which for the local group is fine but I've found is next to friggin useless for convention play so i'm looking to build a decent Dirge Bard.

I've noticed a lot of undead seem to pop up in Society play, and I have a cert to use a Dhampir (beginner box bash cert for GM'n). Here is my build the have. The only thing I have planned is at level 2 take Inflict Light Wounds with Secrets of the Grave Dirge ability.

Light Sensitivity (Ex) Dazzled as long as they remain in bright light.
Low-Light Vision See twice as far as a human in low light, distinguishing color and detail.
Negative Energy Affinity (Ex) The creature is alive, but reacts to positive and negative energy as if it were undead - positive energy harms it, negative energy heals it.
Resist Level Drain (Ex) You take no penalties from energy draining effects, though you can still be killed if you accrue more negative levels than Hit Dice. After 24 hours, any negative levels you have gained are removed without any additional saving throws.
Undead Resistance +2 save vs. disease, mind affecting effects.

So anyone have any suggestions to make this optimal, using the Dhampir & Drige Bard as the only guidelines (oh and legal for Society play)? Thanks in advance!


Doesn't soceity require core races only?

Silver Crusade

Players and GM's can sometimes get boons to allow other races. Le Stat picked up the Dhampir racial boon for being a GM during the Beginner Box Bash.

As for the PC concept, it's interesting but I don't really play bards so can't say. I'd like to read up on it some more after work and maybe toss in my two cents then.


Ah ok, I didn't know that.
I have never really played bards either though, so I don't have a heck of a lot to contribute :/ (they are actually my least favourite class to play :P)
But let's see what I can come up with...

I think the biggest thing I can see is I would want to switch your Con and Wis scores, I find it dangerous to go that low on Con. (Generally never lower than 12, and 14+ when I can manage it)

I would also want to pick up some kind of ranged weapon like a shortbow, never bad to have more options.

Other than that it looks really good!

Dhampir get a racial -2 CON, so I dropped STR to 10 as welland put the extra attribute point in INT. I'm thinking with the 13 INT I could do combat expertise later on for improved trip and disarm. Make use of the whip. But with 6 feats idk if I want to spend 4 (agile maneuvers) to do that.
