The companion archetypes don't let you bypass bab or other prerequisites of the feats themselves, do they?

One thing to note is that the Erastil Combat style allows you to get Improved snap Shot at 10 without any prerequisites whatsover. This allows you more freedom in building and might allowfor Bonn Companion in Archery builds.

Sort of, in that normally animal companions can't take those bonus feats without raising their intelligence to 3 first, normally.

Honestly, losing access to Improved Precise Shot and Point Blank Master makes that pretty much a no-go in my opinion. Waiting till level 11 for Improved Precise Shot just isn't acceptable. Never being able to access Point Blank Master isn't acceptable either.

Gaining clustered shots and snap shot at level 6 dont hold any great value since you can easily meet the prereqs for either of those feats at level 6 and beyond. Waiting for your 10th level ranger style feat to get Improved Snap Shot is actually a level behind when you could take it otherwise.

Overall, the trade off are actually kind of bad, in my opinion.

I found a little error in you guide, horses are large in the 2x2 sense, not in the 1x2. Large creature sizes on a grid. Horse's size on the grid.

Time for some thread necromancy!

It looks like this guide was put together prior to the nerfing of Improved Snap Shot. Since ISS now only lets you threaten out to 10 feet instead of 15, I have a question for the class. Is the Snap Shot feat still all that necessary for the suggested build?

My thought is that since we can't threaten out to 15 feet, and the guide already recommends you have a spiked gauntlet so you threaten adjacent to you, anyway, why not skip it and add other feats to beef yourself up.

On a related note, any thoughts on applying Exceptional Pull to this build? I know the adaptive enhancement technically does the same thing, but if you have the feat slot available (which we technically do now), this saves you some cash on those back-up bows, and makes it so you can pick up and use any composite bow, regardless of how strong of a creature that bow was built for.

Edit: Removed the word chain from a paragraph. Re-read the guide and both combat reflexes and snap shot are still worth it. Hurrah overrun.
