Awesome news; I love all of the Cerulean Seas classes and often use them in any setting (minus the Mariner- works best in the water) but I have always felt my changes to the aquanaught have never been fantastic. I'd love to see that class get access to more philums that are land based.
I'd also like to see a terrestrial Aquanaut, though it might have to be renamed a Terranaut.

Thought that I'd mention that The Relluk from Remarkable Races is getting an aquatic variant in an upcoming product.
Awesome! I love Remarkable Races- it's one of the first PDFs I ever purchased and I still incorporate its races into my games. Any news on that Marauder class? Also do you know if Alluria is going to bring their jester and explorer classes for 4e into the Pathfinder fold?
EDIT: I only ask because I get the hunch something like Remarkable Races is in the works but for classes instead.
Hmm, Crafty Classes?
Classic Classes?
Classy Classes? No, this last one is stupid.

No new info for the Marauder just yet I'm afraid. I'm only conveying what information that they've announced on their Facebook page. I don't actually see the products themselves until late in the process, so I don't really know anything more than the average customer right now. But I will let you all know when I get any new info.

Hello!
Sorry so silent for so long, I tend to get so wrapped up in these projects that I completely forget about the outside world.
Yes, Remarkable Races is getting an aquatic reboot called "Remarkable Races Submerged" and will start with the Sunken Relluk which should be released in a couple of days.
In addition, Clever Classes is getting a PFRPG reboot, starting with a conversion of the aquatic classes. The Marauder will be the pilot of that line, and we should ALSO see that finished in a couple of days.
Celadon Shores is the Oriental Adventures Cerulean Seas supplement, and it is coming along swimmingly. It will be about 50/50 freshwater and seawater, and have mechanics for the two interacting. We should see this one finished in late September or early November. Most of the art is already done, so it mostly just getting things tweaked and crunched.
We partnered up with Purple Duck games to work on the Turquoise Trident adventure path, which will be our first Cerulean Seas adventure series. The artwork is the sticking point on this book. It's written, it's play tested, but we suffered an artistic malfunction for months. Luckily, our buddies over at Purple Duck have their act together where Alluria fell short and agreed to help us out. Progress is happening, but we don't have an official ETA for this one yet. Likely before the end of the year.
So, big things on the horizon for Alluria Publishing! Stay tuned for more updates as we get them.
Special thanks to Steven O'Neal for his updates and help. You are the greatest!

Wow, don't I feel good. I think I'm going to cry a little.
Anyway enough of that! I've just done my first overview of the Sunken Relluk. Without giving away anything major, I'll just say that if you were hoping for something even more tiki-like, you'll be pleased. Also if, like me, you ever pondered what would happen if you used Brill stones as your power gems, well you'll probably want to get this one.

I've sent several emails about this, but have not received a response to date. What are the odds that the non-electronic rewards from the Kickstarter will be sent out to the contributors?
A year later and I seem to be having the same problem as Caedwyr. I emailed Alluria several times using the only email address I could find (support@alluriapublishing.com) and had it kicked back as undeliverable.
So anyway, a few years ago I backed the "Cerulean Seas" Kickstarter to get a pdf and a hard cover copy of the "Cerulean Sea" book. I got my pdf (and like it a lot) and the other 3 pdfs I was supposed to get... but I never got my book. I had just kind of written it off, assuming Alluria had gone under or something - it's a risk I accept when backing innovative small publishers - but I see you all are up and plugging and putting out plenty of new material. Good for you! (seriously, I'm pleased you're still in business and producing good material.) But what do I need to do to get the hard copy of the "Cerulean Seas" book I pledged for back in the Kickstarter?

I'm also still waiting for the Cerulean Seas hardcover. I've waited for Razor Coast back in the day,, but still, an update would be nice...
Currently we don't have a viable or affordable print option. When we do, then the first ones off the truck will be sent out. The printer that gave us the estimate for the print copies doubled the cost AFTER the kickstarter, so we are severely delayed for printing other than the POD option at RPGnow.com, which costs us about the same as everyone else.
We basically need a kickstarter to get the kickstarter rewards at this point...however the whole kickstarter experience was terrible even we technically won. In my lack of experience, I asked for far less than we actually needed, as I had no idea that estimates would skyrocket and a few people would suddenly act like we won the lottery and try to get as much money as they could for services that were offered much cheaper before the kickstarter.
HOWEVER, some good did come from it. Alluria was dead in the water and now we have 4 new products out and 4 new ones on the way (which was the primary focus of the Kickstarter anyway, not the print products). Inevitably, we WILL make enough to break into the print market. It is just a matter of time. Your patience is appreciated. And, as always, contributors will continue to receive their pdf versions free and have our gratitude for their contribution.
Emily

I am insanely excited for this. I've purchased all the Cerulean Seas .pdfs as they became available, just grabbed the hardcover of the Campaign Setting a few months back, and am ordering up the print copies of all the other expansions to start a Cerulean Seas gaming night. The fact that an AP is coming out for the setting (with Purple Duck on board no less) is just awesome news.

Haha! Looks like I'm beating you Ssalarn; I own all of the Cerulean Sea books in colored print. Victory is mine today!
But yeah, I am with you. I can't wait for this adventure; the last Cerulean Seas game I ran was a mix of the Hobbit and Moby Dick but it went... belly up.

The Sunken Relluk now avaialable:
Enjoy!
Is it like the non-aquatic variant, with new feats, items, spells, NPC stat blocks and a prestige class?
EDIT: Please, please, please, please, PLEASE tell me that the next one is about aquatic animi, because the Animus race is severely lacking aquatic variants right now. Non-predatory fishes, predatory fishes, cephalopods, pinniped, cetaceans and even decapods could make great subspecies.

It is like the non-aquatic variant. You get the basic race, reworking of the typical relluk feats and a new one, new varieties of power gems, a prestige class, one monster, and an NPC.
As far as the Anumus is concerned I believe all of the Remarkable Races should be getting aquatic variants, at least the ones that haven't already, if I recall correctly.

The Relluk entry on d20pfsrd.com produced one of my favourite fan responses. Quoted below:
So we have a new race of steam-powered living constructs who look like stone tiki golems with Popeye arms and glowing crystals instead of heads, and operate out of a volcanic island which contains the crumbling ruins of the civilization which built them?
And they use a new mechanic for simulating armor that provides intriguing, useful bonuses that can encourage players to try out little-used kinds of armor by making them more effective?
And they're from the same people who created elf-ettins, living skeleton men, racist Cthulhu-slug-people, time-displaced Neanderthals who specialize in beating armored soldiers to death with beer steins and sharpened sticks, sentient bipedal caterpillars who evolve like Pokemon, and extradimensional anthrophile oozes that look like the Autons?
As a lifelong D&D enthusiast and fan of Silver Age comics, this is unimaginably beautiful. I feel like I'm gazing at documents from some strange parallel reality where all the writers for DC and Marvel decided to go work for Gary Gygax after the Bronze Age got going. Heck, half of this is occupying the same gloriously insane mental headspace as the sheet phantom.
I'm going to have to track down hard copies of all these books: Alluria Publishing has clearly proven themselves as the most perfect possible company to provide material for my homebrew campaign setting.

Yeah, it will be here at Paizo shortly. I upload them at the same time, but Paizo has a live person go in and confirm that I didn't upload naughty things I guess. :)
So, it will be here shortly!
Most of the time I'm fixing bad grammar, typos, and broken HTML in the product descriptions. :)
And it's available here. :D

Yes, the plan is to have equivalents (if not conversions) of all 12 Remarkable Races. Since 3 already exist in source books (and a 4th if Viridean Veil beats the conclusion of Remarkable Races Submerged, not sure about that yet). The Mogogol, the Obitu, and the Zif(Zef) have been swimming out there a while now.
That leaves 3 (or 4) spots open for entirely new and strange aquatic races that we will cap off the series with.
We WILL see aquatic etobians (with dragonfly, water beetle, mosquito +two more) forms.
We will also see aquatic squoles made of water, and taddols with sea-elven blood.
But there is so much more surprises planned that I can't talk about yet!

SWEET!
I really liked how you converted the Obitu and Zef for aquatic settings (technically, the Mogogol... didn't change at all, they remained the same).I'm trying the figure out how some of the races will be converted...
- Animus: as I said above, subspecies based on aquatic animals
- Boggle: huh... I don't recall seeing ANY goblinoid yet... related to the Aglooliks maybe?
- Entobian: as you said, aquatic insects
- Kval: aquatic fiends... then again, their huge hands would be great for swimming XD
- Mahrog: your typical primitive seafolk I suppose
- Muse: aquatic feys with fin-like wings maybe?
- Numistian: huh... no clue here... unless you just replace their legs by a fish tail.
- Oakling: aquatic plants/corals
- Squole: As you said, water-based squole... although I hope that the black squoles will be mentioned as well.
- Taddol: As you said, sea-elven blood... although don't forget the sea titan blood as well ;)
- Xax: beats me... chaos can take any shape, so you could web their hands and feets and be ok
As for new races... I still surprised that you can even come up with more considering the large selection, and there are still [at least] 2 books (Celadon Shores and Viridian Veil). I... honestly don't know where you could go next, but... keep on impressing me I suppose ^_^

The following is not official, I repeat NOT OFFICIAL! So with the announcement that Paizo will be doing psychic magic in their upcoming Occult Adventures book, what do you folks think about it being included in a future Alluria product? I'm asking as a fan.
I know they've already done a book that used the Dreamscarred Press psionics rules, but from the sounds of it Paizo is doing something much different.
Steven "Troll" O'Neal |
I would like to see it done, though I wonder how Occult Adventures are going to be designed.
Well, if I recall from the info I read, some will be casters and others won't. From the context of the name Occult Adventures, my best guess about the overall feel is that it will be heavy on mysticism. I'd imagine they'd have a similar feeling to a non-eastern monk with a lot of focus on spiritual or psychic powers. As for mechanics I've got no clue other than that it won't be power points, but that's been established already.

Yeah, it seems at least one of the classes will be able to use heavey spell-like/supernatural abilities. I don't mind 'psychic mages' using spell slots, so long as they get an interesting mechanic like bloodlines or hexes- something unique to them.
Anyway, yes I'd love to see this implimented into Cerulean Seas. one of my favorite things about the setting is how it keeps different core/3rd party material in its exspansions; too few settings make room for new classes/mechanics/ect., let alone incorporate others into it.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure. I don't have the finished version of the Brawler yet, and I'm no expert on Fishman Karate either. It was just a thought.
