I've been busy,
But I'll come up with something.


Little Finder:
Is the background on the character not enough? I didn't see anything that our backgrounds had to be about us being 'Chosen Ones'. If not then I see Phagin not believing that he's a chosen anything but would go along with the group for the fun of it until he saw something that convinced him he was 'Chosen'.

Let me know if i need to change this background or anything on the character?

Reposted from character sheet: Phagin's Father was Kyonin Soldier turned Mercenary who fell in love with an Andoran Elf. They settled in Carpenden, in the Andoran countryside to raise their child. It was a good childhood but Phagin always felt out of place, living in a human community. His father vigilantly taught him swordcraft and combat techniques, but Phagin's inquisitive mind thirsted for more. In his adolescence, he fell in with a group of local youths that would not only play among the city's rooftops and narrow streets but often in the bedrooms and storerooms of it's residences. Entering soon gave way to taking 'trophies', but always as sport not for profit or out of malice.

When he finally old enough, Phagin struck out on his own, headed to Almas and greater challenges. He soon found that living in the 'big city' was more difficult than he originally dreamed. Soon his childhood games of gathering trophies became his only means of income. He learned the dark and seedy side of city life until one too many run-ins with the local authorities had him hiding out on a ship bound for Absalom.

Once there he fell in love with the city and was determined not to follow his past life of crime. If he left it would be of his own choosing, not from necessity. He instead found that his skills were useful as a courier. He could deliver, discretely, packages and messages for all kinds of client. From Nobles and Clergy, to Merchants and Pathfinder Venture-captains, they all needed his services. He became well known, in certain circles, for accepting 'difficult' cargo and always seeing it safely arrived.

If the 8 int is a problem ( I know some do not like any scores below 10) let me know and id be happy to change it, I did it from a roleplay perspective, as reginald has been so focused in martial training, and his other duites he is not the brightest bulb.


Riginald, The 8 use is no issue, I don't mind scores below 10, as long as you role play it properly. Thanks for checking though, I know some Dm's can be a bit funny about it.

Backstory:

Archaouss comes from a long line of professional rouges and particular servants to lords. Over the years each of his family developed particular skills in which the lord made use of. When Archaouss was born he was immediantly different than his own family. Early on he never seemed to be drawn to the more, physical aspects of their trade, instaed he was drawnb to plants and how they grew. Later on in his life certain plants showed aspects of different effects in how theyu were applied, his father took heart and showed Archaouss the world of poisons. He quickly grew adept at the practice and his father took even more joy and assigned Archaouss his first assignment. The poisoning of a maid that was threatining to blackmail the lord over adultry with another noble lady, not his wife. Archaouss never knowing the effects of the particular poison adeptly applied it to the maids washbasin and left in the middle of the night.

The next day a scream of horror met all of the servants ears and Archaeouss rushed to the room, and saw the results of his labor, the maids child lay in the room his face purple and bloated. Archaouss fled the lords manor that day and declared an outlaw.

Archaouss has sense sold his services to causes he beleives are just and has vowed never to claim an innocents life again.

Little Finder, I have updated Velana's crunch. I originally made her for another game but she never really fit and wasn't picked; this game sounds much more up her alley.

Velana was originally inspired by this image.

She is a sassy, confident Dwarven explorer from the periphery of the Five Kings Mountains, a staging area where Dwarven traders met with a diverse array of folk from across races and societies.

Velana's parents had to be open-minded to be succesful traders in such a community and they taught Velana to be open to all of the world's wonders. She picked up skills here there and everywhere but never really found a role in the business or the town.

Velana is looking to spread her wings, see the world a little and find a path in life which suits her. She wants to see grand old ruins, have passionate flings with inappropriate people and hear the tales told in a thousand other lands.

I have left a little vagueness about her ambitions so that she can be swept up in the campaign. I can tweak her background a little when she's up and running if that helps the campaign

Velana can be honest, forthright, confident and abrasive as any dwarf but she also has a ready wit and an open personality which folk often find charming.


Reventhorn and Velana, I have everything from you two now, so watch the thread and you will find out on Sunday if your in.

Excellent back story from you both. very suiting for the characters you have built.


Background for Nathan:

Background:

Nathan was born in a small farming village of the country Mendev. Whrn he was born, his parents gave him a stuffed animal, a multi-colored lizard. As a baby he loved it, and it got a name, his first word. "Jhock!" he took it everywhere he went as he got older. It was his imaginary friend, which nobody else can see, even tho he insisted that Jhock was real! They had many childhood adventures, exploring the woods, "wrestling" with each other in mud, the normal stuff a child does with friends, but with no kids his own age. His isolation from other kids continued as he grew older, but kept the stuffed animal with him. By the time he hit 16, he spent most if the time by himself working on his parents farm, with Jhock as company. Until one day a group of bullies attack Nathan, knocking him on the ground and kicking him. When one pulled a dagger out, Jhock became real to everyone at that point as he appeared and attacked the boys, defending Nathan, chasing them off. It didn't take long for the bullies to convince the village that the solitary weird halfling was consorting with demons, creating a torch and pitch forking mob! Chasing the "demon summoner" out of town. Nathan left with Jhock, gathering what he could, and since then has traveled with Jhock.

Jotunbrod (it got weaker in Pathfinder, do to changes in the system) and

Jotunbrod is not a race,

Jotunbrod is a 3.5 Feat from Races of Faerun page 166.
(and Jotunbrod is weaker in the pathfinder system, by a good piece)


Azure, your builds look good, but I would say not to use the 3.5 converted weapons and feat. use only things from Pathfinder books. Simply as I haven't played 3.5 and have no clue as to there validity. PS dont forget back story.

Fluff:
Some knights roam their own lands finishing the fights their lords' start for whatever reason they deem fit and others roam the world putting an end to fights started by others. Knights of the Blue Rose are dedicated to defending those without the means to defend themselves from the abuses of stronger men and women. Vidor Varkony is one such knight. Possessed by wanderlust and a belief in man's right to live out his life unmolested by the evils of others desires, Vidor roams the world righting wrongs, stealing hearts, and showing compassion for his fellow man (or creature in many cases). Not given violent excesses many warriors, knights, and even the occassional over zealous paladin find themselves ruled by.
Living up to his ideals day in and day out, Vidor champions the weak, even when they are the ones wh have brought the world dwon upon themselves. Ready to accept surrender and stay his blade the knight will never allow further harm to come to those now held as his prisoners. Justice will be exacted upon those who would become the monster they seek to destroy. Having travelled the world in his adventures,Vidor carries with him a piece of these various countries and cultures in his adventurng gear.
Standing six feet tall and weighing 190 pounds the man carries an impressive physique. Always with a ready smile and a helping hand, Vidor is the friend of all would seek one. Often happier to end a conflict without blood shed, he none the less is an able warrior willing to quickly destroy those who neglect to accept his mercy.

Elondor fluff:

Elondor was raised deep in the forest by his father, a renowned hunter. At age 8, Elondor witnessed his mother's death by a black owlbear that nearly killed his father. Seeking revenge, Elondor sought his father's tutelage. Elondor was a prodigy, effective with both sword and bow. At age 12, he saved his father from a wild bear that snuck up on them while hunting. By the time he reached manhood, Elondor was near to passing even the skill of his father. Hoping to find and slay the creature that killed his mother, Elondor has left to seek adventure and prove his worth in the world.

As I've said before, I have no problem making a magus or zen archer, but I think ranger will suit the party needs more. Let me know what you guys think!

Hahaha, I forget that in the this game that could mean actually hopping to "other" worlds. I meant in the all over Golarian, jet set type of "world hopping." I saw you are from MO. What part? I am from Columbia, but am stationed in Okinawa right now. Can't wait to be back stateside for a spell.

Free booting gladiator thinks he is hot sh*% till he comes against a halfing in Cheliax whom opens a can of ass kickin' on him. Seeing that this halfing is the greatest fighter he has ever met, he becomes his pupil, wins a bunch of money and then buys the teachers freedom. They move to the River Kingdoms and set up a fight school to prepare the gladiator for some ultimate challenge of skill. Grrr. What a pain in the ace.


Down near cape girardeau, know where marble hill is? Okinawa huh? I would guess navy or Marines? Got quite a few friends who went marines stationed over in Kuwait right now


Army. But, you are correct about there being a lot of Marines and Navy here. Marble Hill, hmmm, not quite sure where that is.More familiar with the I-70 corridor.

If you are using firefox I would get the Lazareus addon. It saves your typing in cases like this. The boards also seem to eat long post. I have never lost a short one. I keep notepad open and I paste there whenever I am not using firefox.

Type everything out in notepad first, then paste it where you want it.

It saves a lot of hassle and if the notepad file is save you have a back up in case the boards eat the post 30 minutes later.


I always copy everything on this especially with something important and if it eats it I just paste and all there but yeah the paizo monster is annoying

Crowd just outside the gate is already in a frenzy of excitement from three fights that have already occured today. The smell of sweat, blood, dirt and fear begin to drift in through the corridors leading out to the arena. Familiar scents which set Marcus' killer instinct on edge. Some men have no choice but to fight due to the unfortunate slave trade others like Marcus have no choice but to fight because it is all that matters to them. Marcus is free man drawn to the arena's sand pits and mock naval battles because of the honor and fame. A blast of cheers fill Marcus' ears and he is brought back to the present.
The gates open filling the corridor he stands in with light. The the familiar creak of the deadbearer's cart echo down the tunnel and the face of a man whom had been snatched from his farm comes into view. "You did your best, my friend. May the god's provide you with a better lot than the one you had on this world.", he says as the man's body passes him. Honor. What a peculilar concept that we feel so drawn to uphold. With the blast of a horn, Marcus breaks into a run clutching ivory handle of his gladius in his right hand and the round shield in his left. His mismatched armor feels like a second skin and his weapons an extension of his own arms. Then he feels something that he hasn't experienced since his first battle. Surprise.
Instead of the hulking orc whom he had expected to find awaiting him with dire flial in hand, only the slight image of an old halfing stands before him. Glancing off to the left he sees the other deadbearer carting the limp form of the orc through the opposite gate. With only a net and dagger in his hand the old halfling grinned and said,"He didn't take this world serious enough." Nodding his head and saluting with his sword Marcus charged the tiny warrior. Why isn't he moving? He should be moving. Just as suddenly as the thoughts had entered his mind the web like net in the halfling's hand flashed out ensnaring his legs. Crashing to the ground Marcus was immediately set upon.
Warding off the dagger strikes with his shield and studded leather arm piece,Marcus had seen the ever increasing hold of the net. Finally unable to move his arms the halfling stood
above him dagger ready to speed him from this world. With a smirk of approval,Marcus said, "It is an honor to have fought one such as yourself." For the second time this day surprise again filled Marcus' mind when the dagger lowered and a smile creased the halfling's face. "Freeman are not subject to the whims of the crowd,friend." he said. Turning, the halfing simply walked back through the gate which the dead orc had been carted.
Marcus amazed with the small man's skills quickly followed. Begging the halfing to become his teacher, he assured him of is freedom if he excepted. After paying a massive sumof money to the halfling's master,the pair made for the safety offered by the River Kingdoms. It was here that the halfing taught the Taldan the art of the net trident. Sending Marcus on missions to fight both with weapon and hand the warrior's skill continued to grow. After returning from one such mission now sporting the tusk of the Splitskull orc clan's chieftan as a necklace, the halfling knew his pupil was ready for the final test of his skills. Passing him a scroll with the name of contact, he simply said, "This will be your greatest challenge live and die with honor." Smiling, Marcus replied, "Is there any other way." Gathering his gear and bidding his master good bye Marcus struck out upon the open road determined to fulfill his destiny.

I am retooling the crunch a little to be more in line for the backstory, but the one posted above is pretty much there. Nothing major just a little flavor tweaking.


I find it funny that tomorrow is actually the day celebrating my second decade of life.
