I may not be there on the 31st. One of my nephews (the half orc ;) ), is having a birthday or some such. ;)
Seriously though, it all depends on what the birthday plan is for him. I think I can pretty much guarantee that neither of my nephews will be there on the 31st due to the celebrations, and depending on the time the party is, I may be way off yonder at 6pm.
If, by some odd twist, the party is during the day, then I may actually be there. And if that is the case I do have the Throaty Mermaid which I can run, so count me as an alternate for the 31st.
As far as setting up the event, do one of y'all want to take a stab at it, or should I set it up?

Sorry to miss you guys. I hope you and your assorted young kinfolk enjoy the birthday celebrations. Have another cupcake and try not to dwell too long on thoughts of your comrades in Golarion bleeding out on the battlefield without your support that day. ;)
Except I would be one of the ones who would be causing the blood to flow on the battlefield... ;)

I am currently sick as a dog with the flu (or something far worse). Assuming that I'm not likely to disease everyone, I will try to be there. I am teetering on the precipice of GMing and I need some advice. I bought a PDF copy of the Godsmouth Heresy. It's a sanctioned module, meaning that it was originally designed as a non-society adventure but it's been accepted by PFS. I went online and downloaded the chronicle sheets, but I cannot find faction missions for it. So are the faction missions downloadable somewhere else, or are there simply NO faction missions and no players will get prestige from running this?
Also, how many among you have run this module before and will we have enough tier 1 players to make a table with it?
I hope you feel better first off and if you do end up making it on saturday I have never played that module and would like to if possable

so no response on whether anyone wants to set up the event or not. If no one responds tonight, I'll set it up and bring my laptop by on Saturday night (birthday celebrations should be long done by the time the sun goes down, I think) and knock out the reporting for the event on site.
Dain, I can set it up. I've done it before and I should be there so it would just be easyer.
Now who is going to GM and what do they plan to run? I don't want to have to run but I can. I have the Intros all prepped and I could have something else ready If some of our higher lvl chaps want to get a table together.
zylphryx |
OK, I might be there on Saturday. The birthday bash may be pushed back due to it being my nephew's spring break week, which does not lend itself to a full turn out for a paintball birthday bash. I should find out by Thursday at the latest.
In other news, we may have some additional folks show up on Saturday. Last night I ran into some of the B-a-m folks who have started playing Pathfinder and I mentioned the PFS thing at Hillside on Saturday and told them to come by if they were interested.

Ok so I'll ask again who is going to GM? As it stands right now we may have; Stumbleduck, zylphryx, and probaly me... But no one has confirmed so we may need some ppl to step up.
I will be ready to run but we need to have others prepared. There is a good possibility of some new faces and we should be ready to run enough tables for everyone to play.

GeekOut is trying to get some RPG tables going. I've already registered the Warhorn site which we can use for registration. We can do the intro mods, and maybe a few others. If you wanna run something or have some ideas, chime in over here.
Delbert Collins II |
I may have some comped hotel rooms for ConCarolinas. If you are interested in going drop me a line and I will let you know as soon as I get confirmation o nthe rooms. I am going to put 4 to a room so you will get 1/4 or the room. There are two beds so you may need to bring an air matress. I have a couple I can bring as well if you don't have one.
Delbert Collins II |
I do have two hotel rooms available.
There is actually NOT a lot of room for GMs left at this event, which I can tell you is very unusual! We have 35 tables of PFS and are running all of Season 3.
Tier 1 GM - Get your scenarios at no cost to you and a chance to win a cool GM boon and other prizes, run 1 or 2 scenarios.
Tier 2 GM - Attend the convention free of charge and get your scenarios at no cost to you and a chance to win a cool GM boon and other prizes, you need to run 3 or 4 scenarios.
Tier 3 GM - Attend the convention free of charge and get your scenarios at no cost to you and guarantee a cool GM boon and a chance to win other prizes, and get 1/4 of a hotel room as well as dinner Saturday night you need to run 5 or more scenarios.
If you have any questions please contact me.

I too doubt I can make it- I did my gaming last night, and the wife will probably expect me to pay her SOME attention this weekend. Zylph, Jake, Stu, we need to consider moving weekends for our game so that it doesn't bump me out of PFS!
I can bump alternating Fridays to the "other" Fridays without an issue.
Just wish I could bump this work today. <sigh>

Unfortunately this is the best schedule for both Stu and I. we work every other weekend and this is our one off :( it's hard to game till 2am then wake up for work at 6am... but we'll find a way, I don't want to have ya miss out :)
i count 5 confirmed players... and 1 GM
It looks like I will be GMing tonight... I will be running "Intro I or II" so lvl 1 characters. You can play these scenarios multiple times each time with a different character.
I hope we have another GM... (I have one in mind that can run an Intro in a pinch) Don't worry though :) just come on down and we'll do our best to find ya a table (I can seat 7 if needed)

That sounds good to me, QC!
So I want to ask some advice of you guys on a couple non-PFS character. I know there is an advice board out there, but I am getting absolutely no response.
First- I have a concept for a Dwarven Barbarian.
Dwarven Beserker type. Think a 5'1, 210 pound wrecking ball with a ramskull helmet and spiked armor. He charges headlong into battle, slamming into mooks on his way to his ultimate target- the biggest threat on the field of battle. Two-Handed-Weapon and Overrun are his two favorite tactics. Invulnerable Rager archetype.
Baliel the Ax-Mad
CN Deity: Gorum
20 point buy:
Str 17
Dex 14
Con 16
Int 10
Wis 10
Cha 7
Replacing Stability with Relentless
Replace Stonecunning with Rockstepper
IR 1 – Power Attack
IR 2 – Rage Power Overbearing Advance
IR 3 – Improved Overrun
IR 4 – Rage Power Renewed Vigor +1 Str
IR 5 – Spiked Destroyer
IR 6 – Rage Power Reckless Assault
IR 7 – Raging Vitality
IR 8 – Rage Power Overbearing Onslaught +1 Dex
IR 9 – Combat Reflexes
IR 10 – Rage Power Lesser Beast Totem
IR 11 – ERP Beast Totem
IR 12 – Rage Power Come and Get Me +1 Con
IR 13 – ERP Greater Beast Totem
IR 14 – Rage Power Raging Brutality
IR 15 – Dazing Assault
I have been told I may not need Renewed Vigor, but I don't know enough about Barbs to really say. Advice?
Next, I have currently a Priestess of Desna
She's my character for a RotRL campaign that I just started. She's a Varisian priestess of Desna, very cute and personable, with a bit of a gambling problem. She's a campfire preistess of wanderers and thieves, and so I statted her out as follows:
Emerelda Roma
CG Diety: Desna
20 point buy
Str 8
Dex 14
Con 10
Int 10
Wis 17
Cha 16
Domains: Luck and Travel
She took Point Blank Shot and Selective Channel as her first two feats. The party is a little short on skills, and she may have to alternate face duties with a Shoanti Battle Oracle. I'm thinking she'll stick mostly to her light crossbow for weapons, but I'm also debating multiclassing her as either a Bard or a Rogue to get more skills and become a more rounded partymember. Anyone have any advice on how you can see her going? I would prefer, for RP purposes, Rogue to Bard advice, but will gladly take either.
Thanks guys!

Hello everyone (again).
Nope, not back yet. Doing well. Hope y'all are, too.
We are within 30 days of this GeekOut convention, and my gaming antennae have informed me that the GeekOut (Multiverse) fellows have not received any offers of GM-man(or woman)ship from our beloved Asheville PFS for their event.
Let me spell out the specifics. The convention is on both Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th. Gaming will ONLY take place on May 11th (Sat). There will be three 4-hour sessions at 10AM, 2PM, and 6PM. I forget which hotel in downtown Asheville it's at (ah, yes, the Renaissance, how appropos), but it's right in downtown Asheville.
Are we Golarion-borne? Are we true Seekers of Secrets? Are you really a gnome?
(I hope you answered 'no' to those questions. If you didn't, maybe the LARPs events at GeekOut would be better for you.)
Do we dare fail Desna, Goddess of Discovery, or Torag, God of Industry, or Cayden Cailean, God of Parties?
(Say 'NO!', or "Nay!" if you really want to go there.)
Then, somebody pull up your bootstraps, point your Wayfinder at the Multiverse website, and volunteer to run a game (or three)!!!. And I am especially pleading with those GMs who have run the Intro Steps adventures...what better way to get young gamers and newbies involved? You don't need to run all three sessions, just one would be enough. I understand that someone on here made a Warhorn site for the event, and I checked it out. It's dead.
There will be (estimated by Multiverse) about 3000 people running around GeekOut. This is the time to take the Asheville PFS to the next level. Strike while the Torag is hot!(Ok, two Torag references in one email is just too much, I know.)
And who knows who you might run into there?
