I was looking at the games for Dec 22nd...
Are Shadow's Last Stand and Heresy of Man best played sequentially or does it matter? Trying to figure out what to sign up for as the high tier game is not an option, but don't want to blow a good story arc by jumping the gap. I couldn't find a clear answer out on the interwebs...

It was a lot of fun, Luth! We had both long modules going, plus 2 shorter games in each slot. I didn't manage to kill any PCs, but hey, you can't win 'em all.
So, what are the chances of putting a game together on Thursday the 20th? I'm flying home out of Asheville for Christmas the next morning at 5:30, so I figured it's not worth trying to sleep the night before.

I'd like to get a High Noon game on Monday. Will run whatever you please (as long as I can get some GM credit for it!) Need to level up for Carrion Hill on Wednesday.
Got Strange Packages, and Aquitaine a definite maybe. Need 2 more.
Noon to 4 (or 1 to 5 if we must).
Takers?
ill be there

I know it sounds CRAZY, but we still have plenty of room for our anniversary event. Get the word out! If you talk to someone and they say they want to come... Post here, PM me, or post on the Facebook page... I watch all of these closely and will get them added to the fold and set them up with a seat. We need to know name, character class and level. Come on folks lets show the Pathfinder community we mean business with a massive turn out!!!
Remember there is at least one unique, one time only reward for GMing or playing in this event... no show, no shiny... OOOOoooo shiny
Much love,
Luth

I wish, I got an exam from 11:30 - 2:00 (I probably won't take that long, and if I go first with my speech I MIGHT be able to make 1 but I'm not 100% sure.)
Though me and Sonne might try to swing by if I do somehow get out early! ^o^

I'm running. Going to do Perils of the Pirate Pact (mid tier, so 1-7 will cover it! but 4-5 preferred).
Meeting at 12:00 starting probably 12:30 at WT.
See you there!

Does that still hold true if you run the adventure for a higher tier? For example: I run a mod at Tier 4-5 but give the credit to a 1st level character. Which tier does that character get credit for?

'lo, folks! Figured I'd introduce myself as I'm relatively new to the Asheville area and wanted to give Pathfinder a bit of a try. Hopefully I can snag a chance to jump into something sometime, and that people'd welcome a bit of a Pathfinder noob along for the ride. Anyways, looking forward to meeting some new people. Cheers!

Hello and welcome.
Come on over and game with us sometime.
We meet at the Wyvern's Tale on Merrimon avenue. The big main meeting is every other Saturday. The next one will be December 22.
There are games at other various times, including every Friday.
We use Warhorn for game sign-ups. You can see what games are coming up and when using that page.
We always would like to see new people showing up.

Your timing is pretty good. We've got our 1st anniversary event going on on Dec 15th and the next regular weekend game on Dec 22nd. I recommend signing up via Warhorn prior to the date of whatever game you are wanting in on.
Welcome and come up to the Wyvern's Tale on Merrimon.

Lessee... Facebook group's been located and Warhorn's signed up for. I wouldn't be able to jump into the 1st anniversary event, but that one on the 22nd should be pretty easy for me to be around for - I'll sign up on Warhorn once I figure out just what in Absalom I'll be playing. Decisions, decisions...

The subtier of your GM credit has absolutely nothing to do with the subtier you ran. It's based purely off of the level of the character you're applying it to. So if you run the 4-5 subtier and put the credit on a level 1 character, you still only get the 1-2 subtier credit for him.

While that ruins my plans to have the world's richest 3rd level monk, it does make perfect sense (and hearkens back to the same rules in LG). Thanks for the clarification!

I was thinking of going Diabolist for my Oracle. Although, it looks like that only increases spells per day. It's on page 44 of Book of the Damned, Vol. 1: Princes of Darkness.
I don't think that reference book is legal for Pathfinder Society Organized play. It's not listed here (additional PFS legal resources). Additionally, it is evil-themed, and what-with the recent purge of evil-themed PFS classes (e.g. gravewalker witch, hellknight, etc), I don't think a diabolist is going to be considered legal for PFS play anytime soon, sadly.
I'll inquire about it for you, Chris, but I'm not too hopeful. I wouldn't sink a lot of time planning that PFS character just yet. I should have an official answer soon.

Who here is planning on/hoping to do PaizoCon 2013? Dain, I'm assuming you will.
Yep, tickets purchased and hotel reserved. Plane tix are looking at $504 round trip out of Asheville right now ... will most likely be picking that up in the next week or so.
I also know of one other Asheville person (Ashevillean? Ashevillite? Ashevillain?) who is coming out (Danny ... you met him out there last year Paul) and two others who are a long shot.
That said, if folks can swing the time off and the cost, I would recommend it. It is still a smaller Con, so you actually get to put a face to the names you see on all those books you've been buying ... not to mention meeting and gaming with some of them as well.
Also, if you are heading to Paizocon, I strongly recommend (if you can) getting in either Wednesday or early Thursday for the Meet and Eat (unofficial event), assuming it will be happening again in 2013. I also recommend staying over until Monday, so you aren't scrambling on Sunday.

It's there, listed under Campaign Setting: Princes of Darkness. Lawful Neutral is an acceptable alignment for the prestige class.
