Well, since its setup as a group and not an organization it looks like we get a Unique URL without 25 likes. In fact, I don't think you can really "like" a group at all. Anyway, if people who frequent this forum haven't joined the group, feel free to do so: http://www.facebook.com/groups/AshevillePathfinderLodge/

Quote from the CRB ----- Elf Blood: Half-elves count as both elves and humans for any effect related to race.

Does this mean that a Half Elf can use a Elven weapon as a Half Orc would use an Orc weapon?

Looks great, Luth!

Sorry you need the weapon familiarity trait of the elves to get Elven Weapons.

Your just effected as an elf for spells and other things that have a unique effect based on race.

Like favored enemy type. Say, for example, a multiclassed ranger/rogue had elf as a favored enemy. If he tried to eviscerate your half-elf, he'd get the +2 to hit and damage because you would count as elf and human. This is why a smart ranger chooses human as his class enemy. Then he gets his bonus against humans, half-elves and half-orcs.

Scarab Sages 4/5

First off, thanks to Kevin and all of the players in Quest for Perfection 2 on Saturday. I had a blast.

Now, a quick question... I'd like to go through QfP 3, but assuming my character survives the 12pm game, he'll be level 4. It's looking like it's going to stay a Tier 1-2. So I'd likely have to run another character through, right? The real question is, how do the boons work for completing all three parts? If I do that with different characters, do I still get the boon? I missed Part 1 anyway, so it's not that important, but if that's the case, I might look for a higher tier game for the afternoon and hope if Jake's QfP rolls around in another two weeks that it will run 4-5. I'm signed up for Shades of Ice Part 1 in the morning, but I've already done Part 2 of that (my chronicle sheets are all over the place, in terms of skipping things). Is there even a boon for doing all three parts of QfP?

Thanks.

Jason

Dark Archive 3/5

The axe beak only becomes available to an individual character that completes all three parts. The order doesn't matter and doesn't have to be consecutive. All that matters is that one characters does all three parts.

Scarab Sages 4/5

Cool, thanks. That's what I needed to know. I'll wait and see who signs up for what, then. If QfP 3 stays Tier 1-2, it looks like Luth's game might be the only one in the afternoon with a shot at being 4-5. By that time I should have both enough gold and enough Prestige for a Raise Dead, so it might be safe (I'll keep telling myself that, anyway).

NICE!!! Welcome to the club. :)

We may have a low rating but we give a personal touch you just can't get from a for or five star establishment. ;P

o_O ... holy ... crap ... that, sir, is truly impressive.

Maybe one day, in like 5 or 6 years ... ;)

Actually, I would like to be up to 3 stars by PaizoCon 2013.

Congrats, SP! I still remember back in January when you turned up expecting to play and when we need another GM, you stepped up and instead ran Echoes of the Overwatched cold. You absolutely knocked it out of the park. I was impressed then, and having since GMed, I'm more impressed now.

Scarab Sages 4/5

You're all five stars in my book! Keep in mind that if you run a game at SCARAB we will give you the special SCARAB Star for your card that nobody else has. We are the only place that has their own star that I know of.

Hello fellow Pathfiders. I was looking over the past couple of pages and see that colleges are on the radar. UNCA has approached us to help co-sponsor their Arcade Night which happens semesterly. They want us to run a tabletop room(s) from 5PM - 1AM August 25. I would love if some GMs might be interested in running games during that time. I don't have all the details on our end yet (Such as what is being run when, if we're doing pre-sign up or just taking walk-ins) If people are interested in running games drop me line simeon AT TheWyvernsTaleAvl DOT com

One logistical thing I should mention though, if this turns into a big society event (i.e. non-UNCA students will be there gaming) UNCA is required to have campus security there, which will cost money either on our end or theirs. I'm unclear on that detail. So I need to know if that is what will happen. But if you guys participate I would like it to focus on getting new people into Pathfinder, RPGs, etc.

If anyone is interested let me know, and I'll get you guys more details.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

By my count, Simeon, that's be an off weekend for APL, which means we'd have folks who could make it to help run.

I may be down. Pregens would be the most accessible way for folks to get involved.

Pregens... or goblins.

Sovereign Court

FYI folks, there is a chance I may not be able to run stuff next weekend. A friend from high school called me today to let me know her mother died. She was planning on coming up here next weekend for a concert, but if she decides to stay in Chapel Hill, I will be heading down there for the weekend. I will let you all know what the final word is when I find out.

Scarab Sages 1/5

Last call for T-shirts! I'm about to place that order, so if you want to get in on it, PM me now! Not sure if you're included on this order? CHECK OUT THIS SPREADSHEET

See you 'round the Lodge!

Silver Crusade 4/5

Stu and I plan to be at tWT this thursday (26th) from 5:30pm - close.

We want to do board games and maybe even get in a PFS quest if we have the players.

Warhorn added!

Jake, can I borrow some of your minis for my game Saturday?

APL PFS Obituary

Koroc Ti. Half-Ork Druid lvl:2. Grand Lodge faction.
Killed in Action, 21 Erastus 4712 (7/21/12).
Going toe-to-toe with a raging Yeti barbarian is a dangerous tactic.

Voroc. White Tiger animal companion lvl:2.
Killed in Action, 21 Erastus 4712.
Tried to avenge his masters death but sadly met the same fate.

We bow our heads in memory or Koroc the brave and his creatively named companion Voroc.
A sudden but gentle, warm breeze that carries a strong scent of flowers rushes over those assembled. A tall man gives a knowing smile as his long beard woven with sea weed and white cloth blows in the wind. A Bard strikes up his flute in a mournful song as the unexplained sound of waves crashing on a distant beach reaches the ears of those gathered.

Board Game night is indeed at Firestorm Cafe, starting at 6pm
Thank you!

Dark Archive 3/5

I'm wondering if there's enought interest in a game or two at WT for Saturday. I would look at running a game (possibly one of the Perfection scenarios).

Dark Archive 3/5

Yes, I do know it's an off-weekend, I just happen to have a free weekend.

Sovereign Court

There is a Warmachine Tourney going on at the WT this Saturday.

It's July, I say we game outdoors.

This is a serious suggestion, not one of my trademark smart-alec posts.

Silver Crusade 1/5

I have Saturday free and would like to game but we have to do it somewhere other then in the middle of the tournament at WT

Dark Archive 3/5

Well, there is Hillside and maybe Pastimes if we can finish before they close.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

It's also Bele Cher... So.. um... it might be a bear downtown.

Chris Ballard wrote:

Seriously? Google Hillside + Wyvern's Tale!

Pastimes is unfortunately out of bus range (vision issues, I don't drive), but I would be interested if there's a place that is both accessible and not run by practitioners of ye olde dick move.

Grand Lodge 5/5 * Venture-Captain, New Zealand—Dunedin

I would encourage our intrepid Pathfinder GMs to seek out a game wherever it may be held, given the situations in and around Asheville this weekend. A welcoming game store is an adventure to be had, and a portal for new potential Pathfinders.

Also, I would encourage any to check out the WarMachine tourney. Kevin is an excellent herald for his favorite game. Check it out!

Silver Crusade 5/5

Heralds!... we're working on getting these into hard copy for you... This is what you'll be plastering

Guys, I got some really bad news.
One, playing for me in the next couple weeks may be out as I get acclimated to my new apartment, as well as trying to deal with an insane schedule at work that no one yet has been able to explain the reasoning for...

Even worse, when my schedule finally DOES get a change for school time, it seems like there was no way for me to get off the graveyard shift without being stuck work noon-8PM on Saturdays.
Believe me when I say I fought tooth and nail for, at the very least, an "every other" Saturday schedule... but it's looking like I lost the fight.
I am still hoping that I will be able to make evening games, even if I can't show up till 6 or later pretty much every night. Maybe this will be good incentive for me to get the Sylva area group up and running...

Anywho... yea, my presence at the games will be greatly diminished, and no one is more upset about that than I am

Sczarni

would love to play but can,t do so at hillside. and even so my dad most likely not would not drive me to The WT it being bel cher weekend. but i could ask if there will be game at The WT will check back later. if you see me there then i will be there.

I heart Goon/Adam. You will be missed brother, and we will find a way to entice you to Ashevegas... we have ways... Week night games? Sunday games? Ask the boys at WT, I am not above moving heaven and earth (and chairs) for a friend.

Scarab Sages 4/5

If anything does start up in Sylva before September, let me know. It's a lot shorter drive for me, and I might even be able to make something midweek.
