U have to sign up for each event separately so that sounds right. If you are unsure what tier a scenario is look it up on the paizo website.

Why are all the lower-level (1 and 1-5) adventures piled onto the same time slot?

All the GMs want to play in the 5PM game, (I work till 4pm so I can't run anyway.)

I will have intro 1 prepped to run at 5

And if Granyt has to work, I'll do it. Assuming, that is, that we have enough new players that need it, or pros that have new character they want essentially free XP for

I'd like to get in on one of the 5pm games (level 4 artillery) or I can GM if you need me to...

For July 21 I will run Crypt of the Everflame. This is a PFS Sanctioned module for Tier 1-2. As it is a module, I will be running this starting in the 12pm slot and it will most likely encompass both the 12pm and 5pm slots (we'll take a break at 4pm so folks can grab some food and what not).

For those not familiar with playing sanctioned modules in PFS, the only differences are as follows:
1. The module will give 3XP and 4PP if you survive the module (there are a couple shorter 16page modules that do not grant this level of XP/PP ... Crypt of the Everflame is in the 3XP/4PP level though). Yes, you will level if you play through this module.
2. Characters cannot be used for other scenarios until you have received a chronicle sheet for the module (hence the 12pm start time to keep from tying up folks' PCs).
3. There are no faction missions; the focus is solely on the module itself.

So, if you have a level 1 or level 2 character you want to bump up a level over the course of a single day, this may be the one for you on the 21st. :)

Danaris, look under 'recurring gamedays' on the event listings page. You'll find Asheville Pathfinder Lodge there (alphabetically).

So so far, I have 9 people that have registered on the WarHorn site. I spoke to folks in the WarMachine gaming group at WT yesterday, and they'll be sending 2-3 players our way on Saturday. I also stopped by the Deck Box in Fletcher (Tuesday night is their PF homebrew night), and they'll be sending some people.

I have obviously mucked up this Warhorn site royally. Perhaps I will seek out some professional help. And then I will seek out some IT help with the site. Until then...

July 14th games at Wyvern's Tale

12PM: Intro Step (level 1): step 1, 2, or 3 depending on desires
12PM: Icebound Outpost (levels 1-2 or 3-5)
5PM: Intro Step (level 1): step 1, 2, or 3 depending on desires
5PM: Citadel of Flame (levels 1-2 or 3-5)
5PM: Storming the Diamond Gate (levels 3-4 or 6-7)

Is that what everyone else has?

-Dink

So, should we ignore what times are actually listed on Warhorn & sign up for the games we want to play?

The Warhorn site says Citadel of Flame is at noon, putting it in conflict with the Icebound Outpost. I would like to play in both if I can, with a 2nd level character. I can't have fun storming the castle...

Sorry, y'all....I had to delete the 12noon Citadel of Flame listing in order to move it to the 5PM slot. Now you can sign up for it, Marrec. Of course, the other 2 folks who had signed up for it previously will need to sign up again.

Also, Bekra....psionicists are not legal for Pathfinder Society play. I see that you had signed up a psionicist for use in Storming the Diamond Gate. You'll need to select a different character there.

Danaris, I'd love to have another GM for the GameDay (We will have more people than what is signed up; of this I am sure). Got a game you want to run and a time you want to run it?

Stephan, please come on by even if you don't see something that initially floats your boat. I know we'll be able to swing something.

Lady, I'm assuming you've been able to find the site. Of course, you can click on any of the linked texts to the site --LIKE THIS-- to get there as well.

Just as an aside, people. 12PM and 5PM are hard GO-times. That means that if you need work done on your character, or you need a new character, you need to get there 30mins before the GO-time. Otherwise, your GM will hand you a pre-generated character.

Awesome! SOOOOOOO awesome.

Also note for the 12pm time slot, 12pm is the time the store opens on Saturdays (unless they have changed it in the last two weeks), so it would be best to have your character ready before you get there for the 12pm slot.

Silver Crusade 5/5

Ladies, and Gentlemen,

Have a great time this weekend. For the 21st I will be running Black Waters at 5pm. Sign ups will begin Monday.

Some new personal GM rules I'll be implementing

(all I ask for is effort on these, nothing written in stone here)

1.) You will be seated at my table 30 minutes in advance of starting.
2.) You will sign up if you want to play my game. (beginner walk ins are always welcome, veterans "just showing up" however are not)
3.)Your character will follow the rules of PFS. ALL characters will be vetted before game play starts, unless previously vetted (you don't have to do this at the table you are welcome to email me a copy of the character in advance). ALL Chronicles for that character will be present or you will not play.

I will always be flexible with #1 and 2, but never #3

These rules are not meant to call anyone out or hurt anyone's feelings, they are meant to provide a fun and level playing field for all. GMs spend hours, sometimes days preparing for a game, you can spend 5 minutes planning what games to play. Players spend hours, sometimes days honing their characters within the rules, unbalancing or disrupting the party is not fair to them, so make sure you make your character with an experienced GM present (PM or Email us with questions).

Love all of you (yes I mean that, not sarcasm)

Luth out...

It looks like Icebound Outpost at 12pm is at 4 players, so 1 or 2 more would be able to fill it in and Citadel of Flame is wide open for the 5pm slot.

That's my boy! There has been a lot of talk lately that I revel in the death of characters too much, poppycock. I love you guys and just want you to feel challenged. Plus it's more of a rush if we are genuinely trying to gut you all (in the nicest possible way of course)

Well I've come down with another flipping cold. Dunno when or if I'll be back gaming. I love gaming with you guys, but this pattern of getting sick three to four days after a game session is the reason I haven't been around for several months. To get sick again on my first session back feels like a bad omen.

(Zylph running Crypt of the Everflame makes me wish I could play from remote via hologram. I've heard great things about that module, and not having to fuss with those annoying faction missions would be awesome. I envy everyone who ends up in that game.)

Oh and Dink, congrats on your first GM star. I've had the good fortune to play at your table twice, and can honestly say you're one of the best GMs I've ever gamed with. If stars were awarded based on quality of GMing rather than quantity, you'd have way more than 1 star.

Uhhh skype? ^_^; If the internet was a bit more stable...

AlyGlows wrote:

That's a good idea, though with current technology, even with a stable connection, I suspect having a remote player would slow the game down too much for a regular PFS session.

Paizo did recently announce plans for a Virtual Table Top. Combining Paizo's VTT with Skype and running a PFS game where everyone plays online certainly seems possible in the near-ish future. Aside from opening gaming opportunities to folks who have difficulty making in-person meetings, it might also make for an okay backup plan in case a winter gaming session is snowed out sometime.

In any case, playing by remote was really only wishful dreaming, not something I had any expectation of making happen. My main reason for including that paragraph was to hype Zylph's game in the hope that it will be a success and that there will be more modules run that way in the future.

Fight off the bug man and join us on the 21st. Just dose up on echinacea and Vitamin C before coming out. ;)

And if this module goes well, I think I may try running these once every month or two. Crypt of the Everflame can be run multiple times by GMs and players alike as it is a Tier 1-2, so it could be an alternate opening for newer players as well (or at least new PCs).

As an FYI, I do have modules for Tiers 1-2, 4-6, 7-9 and several higher tiers as well, so if folks do enjoy the module run, it could be a regular event, though a bit spaced between modules.

Liberty's Edge

I really wanna do that everflame thing on the 21st, but I believe we're doing part 2 of the quest for perfection... are we not? If not, I would gladly join. I may have to be their early, but I bet we'll finish up a bit early, as well, at which point I can run home and grab a nap

Sovereign Court

Well, with all the other folks running the QfP series, I figured I would throw in something a bit different. I can run part 2 of QfP (followed by Part 3) the following session for folks who did not grab any of the other slots that are out there.

Just to allow folks time to get situated when they first open?

Works for me. How late does WT stay open on Saturdays? If it is 10pm, then it should not be an issue.

Just as head's up guys & girls: The 28th of this month is reserved for our first Warmachine/Hordes tournament. That falls on an an official off week for you guys, but I just wanted to let you know ahead of time incase you wanted another session in this month.

Also, we stay open til 10 Fri & Sat

I think that sounds like a good idea. I've altered the WarHorn website to reflect it as such. 12PM and 5PM are now soft times - allowing 30mins for player work and GM prep before games. 1230PM and 530PM are the new hard GO-times.

And 30 is the new 20, or so I hear.

Oh, and for anyone interested in WarMachine, I got a chance to speak to their local chapter guy, Matt, this past Tuesday. He's very nice, and always open to new players. I will be making announcements about the WarMachine tournament at our Saturday GameDays this month.

He also mentioned that he can muster a 'Painting Party' for any and all who need miniature paintwork done. He'll likely be at the APL meeting this Saturday, so introduce yourself!

Happy Thursday, y'all.

Dink: I was hanging with the Warmachine guys on Tuesday too, I played a bit and we talked about much of the same stuff you mentioned, I was most intrigued about the mini painting party. I must have just missed ya.

I'm starting "the quest for perfection" trilogy next meeting (21st) anybody that didn't get in Zylph, or Thorynn's games can start at #1 or pick up one they missed to get that awesome boon.

What is warmachine? I assume that it's some flavor of miniatures wargaming, but what specifically? Warhammer? Historical wargaming?

Silver Crusade 4/5

Aravandor wrote:

Wargaming. There are two Warmachine and Hords all units have set stats on cards for easy reference. It uses a simple d6 system (I have yet to see more then 4 dice thrown at a time.) Armies are lead by a Warlock or Warcaster. And consist of beasts (Horde) or warjacks (Warmachine)

It was extremely easy for me to learn special with all the parallels it has with Role-playing games.
