I'd love to have ya, It should be tier 1-2.

GAME UPDATE
Today's (Monday) game has room for 1 player. For the current players (you know who you are) the scenario will be Silent Tide at tier 1-2. Game starts at tWT, 12:30pm typical game lasts 4hrs but that will mostly depend on how fast everyone wants to finish up.

Luthril: keep the wife happy. ;)

And its only Monday

And now it's Tuesday. Gaming tonite, anyone? Tomorrow's a holiday, and I'm up for a GM before I head out of town. 6PM at WT. I'm up for what-ever. I'm calling YOU out, oh Mighty Asheville Pathfinder Lodge. I'll determine what scenario (and what level) once I hear from some peoples.

Grand Lodge 5/5 * Venture-Captain, New Zealand—Dunedin

Well, now nevermind there. Sorry to dangle and retract, y'all. Something has come up. I'm a no-go for tonite.

Scarab Sages 1/5

APL South is trying to get a holiday game on at Scott's house (Flat Rock H-ville area) tomorrow (July 4th) from about 2pm-6pm. I'll be running 3-16 Midnight mauler, tier 3-4. We may have 1-3 player slots available. Let me know if you want in! I'll get you directions to Scott's house once we've got our table together.

Liberty's Edge

Speaking of mid-week games: I got Thursday off (My only day in an otherwise 12 day streak) and I'm looking for a good excuse to head into Asheville. If some folks have some time Thursday afternoon/evening, I would love to get a game together. I plan to buy some modules and some more GMing materials while I'm there, but I don't have anything to run just yet (havn't had time yet to do much reading on the GM process without some help)
BUT, if some lovely and wonderful GM out there is bored that day...

Just sayin <_<

Wow, did that make any real sense?

But what Stu was trying to do was give me permission as our current home game GM to skip out on Carrion Crown. I will be at tWT around 5pm (I work until 4pm) regardless or what game will be run or played. It sounds like you are looking for a GM so I will have all of my stuff with me if you still need one upon my arrival.

Scarab Sages

ok so, I'm thinking of using a rope dart as a main weapon. it costs 1g cause its a 20ft rope and a small metal dart tied to the end.

i'm not seeing a logical way that making it masterwork costs 300gp to upgrade it.... is there any way around paying 300gp to upgrade this weapon?

It may not be logical but it still costs that much...

You were trying to use it w/spellstrike Wern't ya? It's classified as a ranged weapon as you probably were disappointed to find out,

If that's the case I suggest u look at whip or meteor hammer there is also a sweet dwarf version of the meteor hammer that does decent damage in the Dwarves of Golarion book.
The hammers have the same flavor as the rope dart but count as melee weapons and do more damage.

Edit: scratch the hammer off the list for magus, it is a two hander... but whip is still awesome!

Like any RPG, Pathfinder rules are blissfully unburdened by logic in many places.

Of course, if a magus could shock me to death by throwing a marble tied to a string at me, I'd be bellyaching about how broken the rule is...

The Dwarven Dorn Dergar can be wielded one-handed if you have the appropriate feat- Two Weapon Fighting, Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Dorn Dergar, and a BAB of +4. I can't really imagine it would be a popular magus weapon, but whatever.

The Scorpion Whip is probably closer to what you're looking for.

Cool, I'll be there as soon as I can.

We lost Forrest & probably Stu too, I wish I had QC's # he usually shows up for mid week games at tWT...

Scarab Sages

oddly enough i was looking at it for monk use instead of magus, but still it takes too many special things to make it work properly, but ty all for the magus ideas =D

New character concepts to work on:
Knuckle-dragger, mafia enforcer type barbarian
Asian Bard/Ninja, eventually shadow dancer, geisha
Silver Flame, lawful good Inquisitor, essentially a secret assassin of the church

hmm, which to make first

Be original with this one. Make it a gnome instead of a half-orc

I was actually thinking either a dwarf, or a human from the Puddles. Maybe another halfling...

Liberty's Edge

So, if I make the Geisha, who's up for a tea ceremony before we enter the big bad's room?

Sczarni

singed up for hydras fang at noon but the car might brake down hopefully i will be there

Careful of the precedent you set. I already have a Vudrani character. I could easily bring my CDs of sitar music.... :-)

On a more serious note (which is not directed just at Goon), since no else has mentioned it, I'll point out that there's a new holiday boon available. Anyone who wants to take advantage of the boon, just needs to bring a printout of it with them and have their GM fill it out like any other Chronincle sheet.

Visitor from Raleigh looking to find a game July 12th or 13th to get some mountain goodness Pathfinder.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, many thanks.

Our normal meets are every other Saturday, tomorrow being one of the meet days, but there are some who do get together ocassionally other times as well.

Michael, keep your eyes on this message board. Chances are that there will be a game at the Wyvern's Tale next Saturday as two of us will be returning from PaizoCon itching to tell tales and share fun.

Greetings to all the APL people from PaizoCon!

Nice catch! I've printed out 6 for my table. Hooray for Pathfinder holidays! See you guys this afternoon.

Welcome Corey! Generally we meet every other week, but there may be a game or two on next Saturday. Just keep an eye on the board here to see what games are happening. Otherwise, the next big one will by July 21st.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I haven't seen anyone create the event yet so here it is;

APL - 070712

Any GMs need anything? I've got Duck's stuff, will bring all my flip mats, & have all my minis...

You know can claim one for GMing too, right?

BTW, this holiday boon can be applied until July 23rd, so anyone who doesn't get one this time should have a chance to pick one up at our next Saturday session.

Just like to introduce myself! Been playing for a while just now came on the boards

Minds being blown at the Paizo Preview banquet currently. We'll have full updates and news at the next APL meeting.

Silver Crusade 5/5

Good morning Pathfinders,

Hope everyone had fun last night! We will be making changes about how we run things for our July 21st game session. Please keep your eyes on this thread, and if there is someone who games with us and is not following us here, PLEASE get them checking this thread.

Thank you,
Luthril

Thanks for the great games, folks. Stu and Jake especially for GMing the games I was in. Yesterday's double-session made for a fun return from my exile in tired-of-catching-colds-burg.

Dark Archive 3/5

If people are interested in playing next weekend, I'm free for a game or two.

Scarab Sages 1/5

5th level Inquisitors are nothing short of super heroes. Bane FTW! Hope everybody had fun yesterday. I know my session was surprisingly short, but we had a few laughs.

I'm eager to figure out a better way to get games organized ahead of time to avoid the train-wreck we've been having the last few sessions. Clearly the sign-up sheet didn't really work. Looking forward to next meeting (21st), I'll run Quest for Perfection Part II, levels 4-5.

Lantern Lodge

Yes thank you to all the wonderful GMs! ^_^ I know me and Sonne had a good time and learned lots. And it was a blast creeping out the party with Yukiko! ^o^

Though I was told about some witch guide, I'd love to see it. I'd like to play my witch a bit more.

I'm guessing the usual 12 and 5 times. If not, what are the times for it?

Silver Crusade 4/5

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Thanks to the players in the Infernal Vault & Intro III it was one of my most enjoyable afternoons of GMing in a while.
