Cool! I was just going to put one up in the store and see how much pathfinder stuff they got in on the restock. That fedex/kinkos is really close to my house tho, so if you need me to pick up more copies I'd be happy to.

Thor, I've ordered 20 printouts of the flyer. They should be ready for pickup later this afternoon...might want to call them to be sure they're ready if you're picking them up soon. Name for pickup is Thorynn Pathfinder and my phone number is on the order if there's any confusion. I know you only wanted one. I was hoping you could take them to the session on Saturday and distribute to those who wanted to hang a few at local colleges and such. Let me know if this is a problem.
Thorynn wrote: Cool! I was just going to put one up in the store and see how much pathfinder stuff they got in on the restock. I checked on it and it is mostly the core hardbacks (UC, UM, & DMG) and adventure paths. They also got in what looks like 1 of each PF metal mini and a ton of maps (Packs & Flip). They have a case of plastic minis too.
I'll be shopping maps and minis Saturday. Thanks for the heads up bro. I'm bringing a Crazy Crossbowman, a Speedy Elven Transmuter Archer, and a Brainy Kelishite Armor Master Tank..... and maybe a Ninja. I'll fit in to whatever group needs me... if Chemo side effects are through with me and I can show up at all. I'll give my all to be there. Peace friends,
Dang. That downtown space for BKG was cool. Oh well, maybe the APL-West will have an awesome home base! Flyer is up! I had a guy ask me a lot about it. He was playing some RPG with the Asheville Roleplayers Group, (or something) and really wanted to get in on some PFS! Hooray for new faces! I snagged the warehouse map. Mostly because I hate drawing all those little boxes. They've got a pretty good selection of minis, maps and books. See you guys Saturday!
Wow. Shocking news about Blitzkrieg. Such a nice spot, too. Oh well...here's to the new West Asheville store! I concur with the Dwarven sentiment from our illustrious Luthril. I will be bringing PCs for Saturday as well as the scenario I promised, so if any other enterprising young GM wants to take a swing at something, they can.... And now, onto reading Superstar Round 3 entries.... -Dink
Once we get a logo finalized we could make stickers and put them on wayfinders if you wanna bling like Flavor Flav. I'd be up for it.
Howzabout we have a big vote at PFS this Saturday? Of course, those who won't be there can get their votes directly to the man who started this logo craze, Aravandor (he'll be at ConNooga) or to the forum directly. Once we democratically figure which it is, I LOVE the idea of these Pathfinders with our faction logo. I'm going to place an order for ten of them from Amazon to start. We can go from there. Great idea, Thorynn. -Dink

That's what I was afraid of. The last e-mail I got from Dudley it sounded like he thought the reporting of the session replaced the need for a Chronicle. I was hoping my reply had cleared that up and that he had gotten Chronicles out to some folks. I'm not playing this weekend but I do hope we can get this dealt with by the next session. The character I played in that session was intended to be my main PC going forward.
Edric Nansen wrote:
Dudley will not be here this week as far as I know but I think I can work out a temporary solution. It was originally my slot so I will have sheets this Sat and everyone can do there paperwork then Dudly can put his signiture on them next time he is there. And on that note, I will not be going to Con-nooga. So I look forward to being at the games on Saturday. I'm claiming a spot at Stu's table I really want to be there for his first GMing gig.

Must have missed it the other day. I'll check this afternoon.

Nope, no such luck. They have a good assortment, but not that one.
dinketry wrote: I worked with Dudley to get the Fallen Fortress chronicle sheets to people at this coming PFS venture this Saturday. I should have them moving forward from here, Nansen, and I'm happy to get them to people. Awesome, Dink, thanks! I'm gonna skip this week though. I figure you folks don't want this cold I have. Hopefully it'll clear out in time for me to pick the sheet up from you at the next session. Oh and Jake, doing placeholder Chronicles was a clever idea. Hope you folks have fun.
There is a Boon offered this month here's the link to download Toasting Merrymead! Though this month is called Calistril the devotees of Cayden Cailean enjoy this holiday and the more the merrier our mead flows. I will be bringing a few copies tonight, but the more people that bring their own the more Merrymead to go around! Our GMs will be happy to give their signature to allow you to take place in this glorious holiday, some more then others... Dain...
Here is the successor to Blitzkrieg Stu ran an awesome game yesterday. It was great to have three tables despite being down some guys at Con-nooga. Nice to see some new faces as well! Go APL! We should start talking about narrowing down our logo options and maybe having an online vote, if not a vote at the next Grand Lodge session. I'd really like to get T-shirts and stickers made before summer con season. What do you guys think?
So, outside of having to chase away some Cardies from our tables, I think the event this past Saturday went well. Of course, I'm excited about sub-events a-going on, so keep me posted, people! DC, I know we've got the people here to help make a SCARAB under the Mountain mini-Con happen. How can we help y'all get it going? The Big Vote on the APL Logo didn't happen this past Saturday (too chaotic neutral in there), so it looks like it'll have to happen here. Let's cull designs from the 15+ that were offered and come up with a top 5. Oh, and the Con Nooga guys? Do tell! -Dink (look! I got a star!)
ConNooga was great! Special hats-off to Kyle and Nani for their seemingly tireless efforts to keep everything running smoothly. I got exhausted just watching them :) And since I'm exhausted, I decided to take a day off work so I'll while away a little time posting the THINGS I LEARNED AT CONNOOGA (in no particular order): 1. I am amazed at the incredible amount of effort that must have gone into organizing it.
All in all, a great time.
Howdy all, Make sure to check out the above listed FB page for the new game shop and egg them on to open.... :) Glad you guys had a blast at the Con... had you been in town we would have had I dare say 4 groups... Next weekend may need to strong arm some cardies for room. Dink: I will be at the March 3rd game... Feist isn't until May :) Had a blast on the boat, can't wait for the final chapter... dibs on your table... hope we get the girls back and the mini paladin too! Peace,

Hope to see some of you at StellarCon in two weeks. There are only 2 GMs at the moment. I could use a couple more. But this is a FanFiction Convention so not a lot of gaming. But I have 4 more tables at my disposal if anyone wants to work on getting those stars. Nothing to do at this point. It takes time to get everything worked out. My goal was to have something for this summer, but as usual these things take a lot of planning and contracts and work to do right if we want it to be more than just a one time event, which is the goal. We are still waiting on final quotes on the venue I think I have called them three times and sent half a dozen emails and still we wait. That's kind of how these things go.

That is extremely true for PFS at cons be prepared to be the only person at the table that knows or if there are more then 4 players even care how a spell works or want to look it up. They just want to know if it effects them and will need reminding every round. Track your own durations, make flash cards you can show everybody if it is a buff. Don't expect everyone to know what is going on that goes into #8 if it doesn't effect them directly most people don't pay attention. I sent Del a PM to ask about table registration at StellarCon 36: DCII wrote: StellarCon does their own registration thing onsite so there is NO online registration... So no Pre-Registration for PFS... We have our answer!
GMing at a convention sounds like a good deal... run 3 games and get in free for the weekend... do they all do this? I already paid for Dragoncon... oops :).
I know random thought..
Hey all...just ran across this PFS survey elsewhere on the boards...thought some of you might be intereted in taking it. It took me about 5 minutes.
Hi all, normally I spam this messageboard to death, so sorry for the silence. Been fending off some wife aggro since I got back from Connooga and my slave-driving boss doesn't like to recognize federal holidays. Connooga was a blast. Got some great gaming in and learned a lot from some talented GMs. The venue was pretty good overall. My only beef was power outlets. There are never ever enough power outlets no matter where you game. I swear I am going to start bringing a car battery with an attached inverter in a separate bag with me to gaming events! Thanks to Eaghen for putting up with me and saving my ass from real death in two different scenarios at the con! When is the next Grand Lodge meeting in Asheville? I assume that since you guys met up on the 18th the next one is March 3rd. That means I'll be looking to crash a mini-lodge meeting on the 25th. Like an alcoholic without his drink, I'll get the shakes if I don't get some role playing weekly. On another note, does anyone have all 15 logo entry ideas? I'm probably missing a few entries from others, but I'm only aware of options 6 to 12 that I made last week. The earlier designs I made were highly suspect on the copyright/terms of use front, so I'm leaving them out of consideration (although I liked them the best!) I'm certainly not trying to limit our options to only my entries, so refresh my memory on the others, please. I'm ok with any of the ones I drew up obviously. My personal favorites are opt. 6 for a web/print use (front shirt logo) and options 11 or 12 for a larger area (back of T-Shirt) design. So let's get all ideas together, sit them side by side and do a vote! (The link to those designs is here)

Check this out. It doesn't charge laptops but charges phones and tablets. My mother-in-law got it for me for christmas, and it is way cool. Saved my iPhone at SCARAB. Aravandor wrote:
March 3rd is it! Aravandor wrote:
I blatantly stole yours and smashed them together to kind of poorly illustrate my idea. On the previous idea of incorporating elven/dwarven words (after all, we are in the woodsy mountains!) anybody know the words for "Explore, Report, Cooperate"? I think that would be cool, as its kind of the Pathfinder creed.
Hey Aravandor, it was awesome getting to play with you at ConNooga. I wish we could have played part 3 of that chain together...it was a pretty cool scenario and I was stuck with that guy who was really playing his CN character along evil lines...major pain in the rear...intimidating the pregnant lady to try and extort gold from those dirt poor villagers in exchange for our help! At least he didn't try to beat any of the children, kill any of their cats or throw any villagers down the well. Your graphics are all awesome and any one of them would be great for us, web, t-shirts or whatever.

Thanks Del! I signed up for games on Saturday. I will wait to see how many people sign up before I commit to Friday, Sunday, or potential GMing... (I don't know of I can afford a hotel yet.)

Con Nooga was an absolute blast, and I hope that more of you can make it for Dicehead Siege later on this month, or possibly even for some of the more Atlanta focused Cons like Dragon*Con. Or if you're ever in town in North / Central Georgia just check out our gaming schedule... we almost always have a game going on somewhere on the weekends :)
