I don't remember them being creepy black, just creepy one color without a pupil or sclera, just full on iris.

Dilated iris' are indicative of either illegal substance abuse or great passion...

I haven't played since AD&D 2nd Edition though. It´s PFRPG stuff I guess, they were not that way in D&D 3.5 as well. Yeah, too bad they made the most beautiful race creepy-looking.
I kinda like the full-eye iris. Reminds me of the Fremen in Dune.

Vanguard really set the bar high for "creepy looking" elves. I can't even play them.
That is the one real bone I have to pick with Tamriel, is the appearance of their elves. Just not right.
The Shameless One wrote: When did elves get creepy black eyes? That'd be in the bygone days of the Rise of the Runelords, unless I've missed something. Pathfinder decided really early on not to go the old "elves look exactly like humans but prettier" Tolkien direction.
The whole eye iris look (the color varies) can be fairly creepy, but I applaud them for that. Elves actually looking like a different species is a huge step forward as far as I'm concerned and a little creepiness gives them a bit of that old fae edge they lost with Tolkien.
Cheers!

I can't really picture any human... male or female falling in love with a pathfinder elf having those pitch black soulless eyes and producing half-elf offspring.

Quote: Their eyes are wide and almond-shaped, and filled with large, vibrantly colored pupils. The coloration of elves as a whole varies wildly, and is much more diverse than that of human populations. However, as their coloration often matches their surroundings, the elves of a single community may appear quite similar. Forest-dwelling elves often have variations of green, brown, and tan in their hair, eye, and even skin tones. I'd assume some humans couldn't get past their bigotry, but some may just see those eyes as windows into an beautiful soul.

Okay.... moody. She has her moods.
