Oh, and hi all. Pretty excited about this cool new game, hope it turns out as awesome as it sounds.

Make it two of us

I would like to see players training other players, rather than having NPCs doing this. I'm not talking about entry level skill, but more advanced skills.

Now, how do the advanced skills get to the players, from semi rare loot drops. Books or scrolls could be studied for days or even weeks and then that character can train others.

Just remebered on very important thing:

Please NO oversized weapons and armor! Lets make it realistc, proportional, precise, as we would see in real life, please. I Don't wanna see barbarian with 2h swords bigger than themselves, nor gigantic shields and superheavy looking armors. Even in PFbooks RPG art I've seen some exagerated stuff. Please no no no no!

From a "realistic" point of view if you really lived in a world where you can magically enhance your strength to double or more earth normal, would you limit your armor and weapons to stuff that normal "earth" humans can carry or go for something that matches your actual ability.

I know many people want to play some sort of historical medieval fight club but thegame actually is one of heroic fantasy not medieval battle recreation.

Seconded! I can't abide the insanely shaped oversized weapons! Swords that wouldn't fit in scabbards, armor that's so monstrously oversized that you couldn't see anything around you for the plates and spikes popping up everywhere.

I liked the look of characters in Warhammer. Gritty, realistic looking features on the models and the weapons and armor weren't outrageous.

@Neadenil Edam

Well, I use to play RPG since the 80's so I guess I may know what heroic fantasy means, may be wrong though. By the way, we have no need for oversized equipment weapons in heroic fantasy. Have you seen any of that in LOTR movies, RPGs or MMOs? Have you seen the art of MERP, Rolemaster, Shadowrun, vampire, D&D classic, D&D seconde edition and 3.5? Have you ever played GURPS? If you did know at least some of that stuff you should know better. Lots of fantasy realities have "realistic" stuff in relation to size, shape and function.

I have seen no one saying in any thread in this forum that wanna play historical medieval stuff.

If you disagree and wan't to see a barbarian with a sword bigger than her body or a paladin with a shield looking like a towershield inside a dungeon its your right to do so. But just respect my right to disagree ok?

These forums would be boring if everyone agreed :D

Now to dust off that 3.5 spiked chain :D

Sorry, just cannot read all of this... So I might repeat something.

Character skills

Already another thread for this, but I would like a skill system that permits multiclassing that requires thought but does not lead to "cookie cutter" templates. GW has some great direction here already. Train lots of skills, but slot only a limited number of feats. Be rewarded for role specialization, but have the flexibility to multiclass without severe penalties.

Weapons or magic items that level wih you

Similar to LOTRO legendary weapons, or a "bound" weapon.

Racial architecture

Customize your settlement!

Action based combat

Reactionary moves, dodge rolling, aiming(?), skill chains, positioning, etc. - without having 36 buttons to push
