What are the feats and evolutions of the synthesist mount? I am thinking that like all riders the mount is the weak point. The mount here is essentially a summoned outsider which opens some nice options.
Weak point is relative. Synthesists are damn tough.
Reading about them I see that they are. But the synthesist cohort will be lower level and with the barbarian's 7 charisma (I think I saw that earlier) even lower still. So as far as a chink in the armor that is it. Destroy the synthesist--really just the eidelon and the barbarian gets to impotently wave his lance from the ground.
I won't get into the problems with him getting to select a cohort who exactly meshes with his character and who is essentially willing to be ridden for days, weeks, or months at a time. Leadership gives you an NPC cohort. i.e. he is to be built by the DM not by the player. Like all NPCs he has his own wants and desires.
So the real weak point is that after a while of being ridden around like a stupid beast the NPC says, "nuts to this, I didn't go to 8 years of Synthesist school to be a flying horse."

Much like the AM BARBARIAN build it is currently a work in progress. Also, there are technically two builds with one that does not use leadership. Personally, that is the one that I would post to challenge castys because there is less "that's a cheesy rule" or "if he has to use a casty to beat casty" arguments. The one with leadership is just for the hilarity of it.

I'm quite frankly going to stop here. Not once have you been able to show that the action can take place any time other than before the triggering action, just that it probably SHOULD be able too. I agree with this. But my point still stands.
Jason spent 1000 words or so correcting you. This isn't a case of people not being able to teach you something. It's a case of you being unwilling to learn. These two sentences are clear:
The action occurs just before the action that triggers it. If the triggered action is part of another character's activities, you interrupt the other character.
The second sentence is a rule that overrides the first. This happens commonly in the rules. The developers shouldn't have to write "The second sentence is an exception to the first" every time it happens. It's even referenced in the Delay section:
You also can't interrupt anyone else's action (as you can with a readied action).

2. My henchment has a +49, probably +54 perception and maybe more. So he spots you coming.
He readies a Reached Euphoric Tranquilty and casts it on you. Your ability to attack me is immediately ended.
3. I read Synthesist. It counts as both an outsider and a humanoid. Which very much is a powerful unnatural creature. Not even open for debate.
Until you show you've beaten the wizard, which you haven't done yet. You haven't a proven a single thing.
Get this build done and let's take it round to round. You're already beat as far as I'm concerned.
Let's say I hit you at some point with a Mage's Disjuntion. All your permanencies and all your magic is eliminated.
I think this thread is nothing more than AM not taking the challenge seriously. It was solely created by AM to attract wizard players and get them to post while he engages in a rules discourse that doesn't exist for one and is impossible to really pull off.
That's why he's not actually completing the build because Trinam knows once he puts the build in place, he's lost. So why ever finish the build and actually go toe to toe in battle with a wizard player when he can antagonize wizards and create false hope for those following the thread.
I've already beat AM. I already have my strategies in place to win. All I hear from other posters and Trinam "maybe the rules don't work that way".
No. They do work that way. Commune with Nature is very clear. Synthesist is very clear. Wall of Suppression is very clear. Euphoric Tranquility is very clear.
I also have the following options since we're just throwing stuff out there like an donkey thinking it will work:
1. After I eliminate the permanenced arcane sight and such, I'll create a disguised gate and have him fly through into another plane. I'll be waiting there and maze his mount after I've elmininated the spell turning and let him die in the negative energy plane.
2. Or I'll go into combat with a swarm of Huge air elementals as my wall so he can't get to me with a charge action.
3. Or I will bring a bunch of creatures that can cast unholy words and have them chain cast them after I use Prediction of Failure to give his mount -8 total on its saves or be banished.
4. Or I'll have the lion pounce and rip apart the eidolon from the druid companion fully buffed and elminate his mount. Once the mount is gone, AM is elminated.
5. I can even research a spell that allows me to cast a dominate person on AM from scry range can't I?
6. Or I can simply say "AM still lost because he needs a henchment to beat me and class versus class the wizard still crushes the barbarian". So what was the point of the thread to begin with?
Fact of the matter is I'm going to do like Trinam and declare myself the winner. Because he hasn't actually won anything. And through his own admission he created this thread not to provide a truly viable build to beat a high end wizard, but to annoy caster characters and develop a little following amongst the "Martials can beat wizards" crowd. I'll just do as he and his followers do: Assume I've bested every strategy without even bothering to actually do it. And walk away from the thread with the following final word:

P.S.: Trinam, I'm not going to continue to waste my time. Reading your posts this thread was created solely to annoy casters and create this idea of AM BARBARIAN dimissively talking to casters. But I know if you're really a wizard player, you probably already know ten different ways to crush AM BARBARIAN yourself. I haven't begin to fully explore strategy for crushing your barbarian build. I'm fully confident I can do it.
So maybe I'll come back to continue this when you have a solid build done and you're ready to go round by round with a wizard player. Fact of the matter is you only have one way to beat me: hit point damage. I have many ways to beat you that don't involve doing an ounce of hit point damage to you. I also have access to spell research, something you can't touch.
Which is why I told you I won't be purchasing much gear. When I play wizards, I keep my gold reserves high. I can do more with gold than any class in the game. I don't waste it on measley items.
I'm done bandying words with you. Get it done and bring it. Right now you haven't beaten a single thing. All you've shown is a barbarian using a caster can maybe kill a wizard once if you catch him out in the open flying about stupidly. *golf clap* for that strategy. Fortunately as a wizard I can die more than once and fight again. We'll see if you can do the same.
So thanks for wasting my time. If all you intended to do was waste a few caster players' time and be an annoyance, then you did indeed win. If your true intent was to prove you can defeat a wizard in combat, you failed miserably so far. You didn't win anything. Until you are ready to win that argument by having your build done and in place, then this wizard player is moving on from the debate. I feel I've already shown several effective strategies to challening your simplistic charge tactics and your useless flying around forever defense.
Good luck antagonizing more caster players. I'm done with it. AM BARBARIAN is just another imaginary melee coming for the wizard throne that failed. Wizards still sit on the throne of power. We still rule. We're still the undisputed strongest class in the game. Barbarian is probably 3rd or 4th on the list behind sorcerer, druid, and cleric. But of course it all depends on build and player.

You know...no one really obligated you to 'waste your time' on this thread. You did that all on your own. The choice to read and follow this thread was your own, so...I guess the one responsible for wasting your time was...YOU.
And whilst everyone else is just taking this thread flippantly, you're taking this as if it was a personal challenge. Seems to me that where it comes to acknowledging that this is a game and not a race for supremacy in...a...hypothetical scenario with reference to a game system....you've already lost.
Basically, you take this too seriously. Cool off, or all you achieve is making yourself look like a tool.

I'd need to take a look at how the ability actually works, but at this point I'm hazarding a guess that the wall of suppression might get spell-sundered?

Well I didn't want to say anything but yes that is an issue. Also the idea of Euphoric Tranquility allowing a save for him to act normally for a round. That can be an issue if "normally" is also "tearing you apart limb from limb".
Most of the other stuff seems feasible enough but I don't have the time right now for a more detailed look.
Of course, it is a magical effect and could get spell sundered, but I'm iffy on how it would work on the synthesists eidolon. First order would be to decide if that gets suppressed or not. Rules as intent, well yeah probably, RAW I'm not sure.
I would like to point out Triniam has already come up with a idea for clone. He simply uses a merciful lance then stacks negative levels on you, i'm not sure of his method or if this a official part of his build yet, so lets ignore that for now.
EDIT:- also his perception score was listed as being at the 60 level I believe, so once triniam has cleared up if that is the case or not, i'd say your high perception does nothing too help.
My final point, as has been stated triniam will post his build when people stop showing up with specially craft Schroedinger builds made too beat him. His build has changed very little over the course of this, with the most changes only ever being in his items. So stop demanding some-one else follow a rule you obviously have no intention of following yourself.
