Is anyone organizing PFS at 3Con this year?

I've never heard of this Con before. It could be a bigger deal if this group and the PentaCon folks pool resources.

I am considering going and running a table in each slot just to see what kind of response there would be.

I wish I were able to.

Let's do it. Maybe, if they're free, we could coax DougDoug or Kyle to drive down.

I'll see if I can make it out.

It's a definite possibility. If I'm free and you can resonably guarantee enough player interest, I'll be there, pink bunnies and all.

So far, not getting any response from the convention organizers, but we are looking to run some PFS. Good chance that a few of the recognizable GM's from the boards will be present. Just looking for an idea of player turnout. If you know anything about the convention or any local groups, please email me. Thx

A group of wargamgers from South Bend, IN are planning on making an appearance, there are a few PFS players in that group as well.

Okay, y'all heard it. The five-star can be bought with Diet Coke. If you want him to GM at your event, keep 'em cold and keep 'em coming :-)

Hey, now...I'm cutting you a deal because you've got my back at BASHCon. If anyone else wants a five-star screen monkey they'll need to ante up some Guiness and a BBQ chicken pizza.

It appears that the 'locals' are not organizing any PFS for 3Con, so we are taking the torch. Watch for the event to update on the website over the next few days and get signed up early. Looks like at least three tables per slot, with two slots on Friday and three on Saturday.

For people interested in attending 3CON, the block of hotel rooms at the Fort Wayne Hilton have sold out. There's plenty of hotel space around, just not cheap space within walking distance of the Convention Center.

Awesome! I know that the online event registrations can be deceiving, but so far, only one person. Starting to think the GM's will be running a table for each other.

At least one from South Bend and one from Warsaw will be there on Saturday.

All the players who signed up are actually just me signed up under different aliases.

I was going with his Coordinator shafted him with poor module selection...

Glad to see this is turning out to be a good event for PFS! I have a tiny little convention of my own to attend, otherwise I'd be there exclusively to bug Bob.

Have fun!

There you go mixing up words again. Masochism, Bob. The word is masochism.

Bob was free-lancing like a mist-tainted madman this weekend. He ran 4/5 scheduled sessions while doing it with no complaints from any players. They kept coming back to his table despite his cruel dice. I only got 1/5 sessions due to sparse turnout :(

I want to give a big thanks again to Chris Mortika, Doug Miles and TwlightKnight for coming out to 3 Con and putting on a good time for the players!

Playing The Citadel of Flames with Doug was a riot! I love that mod. Playing my Gunslinger with Bob as a player and Chris as GM was also a ton of fun even though Tim Hitchcock wants to kill me in every mod he writes :)

Thanks guys!

3Con was a lot of fun. Hope we can entice more players to make the trip to NE Indiana next year. As usual, the players were awesome and made my job a lot easier.

And yes, I was a brutal GM this con. One player with a barbarian kept getting dropped. Between untimely critical hits, paralysis, and stunning affects, I'm not sure how much fun he had. But he kept coming back for more.

My dice were on fire, except when I got to play Hydra's Fang. I'm still drying out my equipment after all the time spent under water. :-(

Had a great time. Bob and Doug are super-cool people. It was great to run a table with them, and with Mark. It was nice to meet some of the fun Pathfinder players in Indiana, and I only wish I could have met more of 'em!

I concur with all of the above. The organizers need to do a little better with their promotions, but the venue was awesome.

The barbarian did have a good time, he enjoyed his first foray into PFS and he was already talking about playing more at GenCon this summer.

I was re-reading Gods & Magic today and ran across Besmara's bicorn on page 55. I might recommend it for snooty cavaliers like al Hadeem.

lol. No, he's just pleasantly pompous and will just avoid all water-based scenarios :-)

But the Bicorn might be a very nice addition to my gun-slinging pirate concept.
