Well, lions being usually stronger can afford to steal the prey. Lazyness is a mighty factor :)

Aside from that what exactly makes Hyena themed Hound Archons and Vulture-like avorals as death-guardians unfeasible?

It's not unfeasible, as hyenas do scavenge quite often, it's just ironic, because lions are traditionally seen as noble and regal animals and hyenas as unprincipled scavengers, yet lions scavenge more than hyenas.

It's too late now but I would have liked to have seen all the extraplanar beings fully fleshed out in their very own separate Bestiary. With a full host of Agathions, Angels/Archons, Azata, Daemons, Demons, Devils, Inevitables, Proteans, and Elementals.

I might have tried themeing out all of the Bestiaries. Like maybe another one could be all the Denizens of the Underrealm. Perhaps another a guide to the unliving (Constructs and undead).

I'm just day dreaming now. :p

What I would really want to see is a pdf style versions that we can rearrange. Given that each entry is one page I would absolutely love being able to create the groupings I desire by putting pages in whatever order I want. That would make me so happy.

This would be my wishlist for Bestiary 4 (unfinished)

CR1-20 filled for all the outsider types left (archons, agathions, azatsa, inevitables, quipploths, deamons, kytons, ect)

more undead

more animals

The skull ripper and the smoke haunt from PF3!

GRANFALOON! When are we going to see this wonderfully horrible sphere of corpses surrounding an aberrant core? Granfaloon!

Thanks for including the celestial dragons in Bestiary 3! Any chances of seeing the abomination dragons in Bestiary 4? Or for that matter, the mineral dragons?

Last, some animals would be great. Not magical beasts. Just simple (but flavorable) animals.

Grand Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The ubue , the firbolg, fomorians, verbeeg and other smaller gaint kin

Grand Lodge

oh and the wierd Fachan

Grand Lodge

And an oddity form an old third party publisher The Kangari warrior (ie kangaroo people)

Starfinder Superscriber

I would actually like to see LESS undead; I really think that so many things are becoming undead reliant for mid and upper level challenges. I would like to see more abberants to fill these rolls.

I'd also like to see more megafauna (GLYPTODONS!) and Modrons. And more monsters from non-europian folklore. The huge amount of Kami/Oni/Oriental monsters was great and I'd love to see more Native American & South American monsters.

More PC races.
We don't yet have Insectfolk (Dromite, Thri-Kreen), Dogfolk (Cynocephali),
Bearfolk (Beorn), Pterodactylfolk (Mahar) and Newtling.

Cool-looking* intelligent** constructs and bio-constructs. Numeria-tied?

* Because, really, the Adamantine and Mithral Golems' pictures were not that cool (yeah, I know, they can look like anything anyone might want, but when players see a picture in the book, it will be fire-marked in their mind forever).

** Because beyond inevitables there's no intelligent robot-like creature.

Sprites with int10+/Cha14+ and at least CR1.

A lot less Undead.

No more Demons/Devils/Daemons, there are plenty of these guys.

The rest of the Lamia-kin and maybe some new ones.

More Elementals, there is only one in the Beastiary 3.

Plant based playable race.

Fey Based playable race.

Creatures from the positive energy plane.

More creatures from Celtic myth.

Funny how you think there are too many undead and demons but still want more dragons.

Dragons are the ones that really are overused.

Humanoid-Undead are overused, but we still need more non-humanoid undead.

Well I see undead as very different creatures from eachother, while I see most dragons as one and the same with different powers, Undead can look very different, but dragons all have the same big-lizard thing going on...

From your list are here the monsters I think they should have included in one of the earlier bestiaries (1,2 or 3) because they are really cool.

1)Lamia, Harridan
4)Mudmen
7)Miengu
9)Devil, Ukobach
15)Vouivre
24)Skirk Nettle
27)Giant Sea Urchin
31)Medusa Head
32)Springhealed Jack
46)Selkie
50)Werebat

These are pretty famous and wanted.

Also Bog Strider and Skullripper are on that same list.

Dragons have many different forms from batlike wyverns, serpent like linnorms, classic dragons body shapes, even some that are more humaniod in shape, single headed, multi-headed, some with wings, some without.

Undead come in three flavors, hardly there, meaty, and nothing but bones.

Low level constructs would be nice.

So would Alchemical 'monsters' crafted in experiments.

I really enjoy the races that have 2-3 types that all fit into a role. Queen, Servants, etc.

Sovereign Court

What can I say ...

I want them all. I am somethong of a monster lover. Especially as they tear down these pesky rob... adventurers.

I keep a database of all the D&D/PF monsters that are in my bookshelf, and 11739 of them are already there. (And I have not updated the database yet, with every book I own).

And IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH !

MAWR MONSTERS !!!!

Dark Archive

Also either a panda or Koala based playable race, so I can finish stating up the cast of Ni-Hao Kai-Lan as Pathfinder characters.

Dragon78, is there any kind of monster that you DON'T want? ;-)

I second the Panda based race. That and a mantis based one would let me do up the cast of Kung-Fu Panda

Oompa loompas.

And evil underground oompa loompas.

I would like to see more Dinosaurs, less outsiders, more playable races, and higher CR creatures. I'd like to see a winged humanoid/wolf race that is playable maybe +2 str, +2 dex, -2 int fast and strong but aren't very studious. Maybe something similar to the swordwing from 4E because it's a cool concept. Maybe something that has an aura of magic absorbtion or something that cancles out psionic powers (even though i never use psionic anything, soulknife aside due to lake of any real psionics)

The evil ones are alright, but the others are too scary. There are kids playing this game, you know.

My wish list would include more Lovecraftian creatures, such as the Night Gaunt, and the creatures from the Carrion Crown AP. Some new alien beasties from other planets in the solar system would be fun.

More creatures from wonderland like the Cheshire Cat.

More types of Giant Centipedes, Cockroaches, Sea Anemones, etc.

More Fey- more types sprites(but with Int10+/Cha14+), more NG/CG familiar options, more Gremlins, some celtic style Fey, Jack o lantern(CR5+, Jack frost(CR11+), Wild hunt(CR12+), a CR20 fey creature(CN, CG, or N), etc.

Linnorm or Imperial dragon like familiars.

More Behemoths like the Leviathen.

Grand Lodge

I'd like to see more animals that can double as familiars. One I'd really like to see is a platypus. They were pretty cool in 3.5.

As well, I'd like to see more abominations brought back, and maybe the wild hunt's master of the hunt, his pack of monstrous dogs, and his ranger friend.

Ok as an avid Howard fan, and someone who will not be able to really sit down and look at his copy of Bestiary 3 until probably the middle of January, what monster is it?

More critters of fill out Numira.

Grand Lodge

A new base race that could essentially emulate Dante from Devil May Cry. I know a few players who have been asking for that. Especially with the gunslinger class being available.

I'd also like to see the male medusa, a maedar. There's a few versions out there that could be considered OGL so I guess take your pick, or make your own.

Maybe a few more half-breed templates like half-elementals (air, water, earth, lightning, fire, etc).

And, to bring this full circle, the estate of Robert E. Howard let me keep my favorite monster from one of the scariest stories in the English language in Bestiary 3.
Ok as an avid Howard fan, and someone who will not be able to really sit down and look at his copy of Bestiary 3 until probably the middle of January, what monster is it?

Zuvembie. I'm not sure if he's referencing Pigeons From Hell or Black Canaan. I believe it's the former, which certainly gave me the creeps.
