Hello Mark/Everyone,
I'm a bit late to the game as far as the open call is concerned having submitted last Wednesday, but I was wondering what is the current estimated time to hear from the staff, either in the form of a "We've received your submission" or an "accepted/rejected" reply? The current call seems to indicate around 72 hours, but some of the posts in this forum indicate otherwise.

I sent my submission in in early August (shortly before GenCon), didn't hear back until shortly before September (and even then, only to confirm they received it). The message said they would look over it in the order it was received. That leads me to believe they are behind or there are just too many submission to get to in the 72 hour time period.

I've heard rumors there have been plans to alter the open call submission rules. I, too, sent one submission some 2 months ago and haven't heard of it at all. Then again this was around when Mark Moreland was temporarily in charge and swarmed with paper work, so I think we'll have to wait a bit for these open call scenario submission rules to get revised.
How the rules are going to change, I don't know.

I received one submission last Wednesday and sent a "We've received your submission" email within 72 hours. If you submitted something and have not received a response, please resubmit.
Now that Mike is in the office and working, I've had a bit more time to work on the slush pile and hope the response time for "accepted/rejected" emails can be improved over the coming weeks and months. Thanks for everyone's interest in writing for the campaign and for your continued patience.
