I just was told about this site the other day by a new player in our group.

This site is a great way to keep your game organized and to keep your players informed it also supports Pathfinder RPG as one of the Games you can choose
I think all GMs should check it and player should check it out and tell their DMs

We already use it, and you're right. It is great.

I use it as well. It takes a while to figure out just, exactly, what you want to do with it (it's very open-ended), but it's making for a great resource so far.

Liberty's Edge

I have been using it since 2009 for a couple different campaigns. It allows for scheduling, NPC's, PC's, Maps, and much more. After each session, one of the players adds to the adventure log with a write up of what happened. It is a great campaign tool.

Anyone mind posting up some examples of your campaigns on Obsidianportal.com?

I've started one up but I'm not done fiddling with it yet. I'd love to see others.

Is it worth the subscription?

I've actually been an ascended member and all i can say is wether or not it's worth it entirely depends on how much you intend to do online. You can go here to see the differences between paid and unpaid.

I'll tackle the benefits below.
Number of Campaigns: Basic = 2 Campaigns, Ascended = Unlimited Campaigns - If you only expect to be running one campaign at a time while developing a second, or two simultanious, then this won't affect you. However if you're a major GM and want to use it for multiple games, then unless you want to create multiple accounts, Ascended seems necessary. I usually run only one at a time, so I don't feel that having multiple campaigns is necessary unless I want to archive them for later perusal.

Storage Space: Basic = 2MB, Ascended = 5GB - Pretty straight forward. If your campaign is going to have a lot of maps, images, etc that people need to see then space is going to be an issue. I, however, have a private server with a couple hundred Gigs of space, so I just link to it for all my image storage needs.

Privacy: Basic = Public Only, Ascended = Public, Friends Only, or Private - If you want to keep what you're working on a complete secret, or don't like the idea of other people reading your stuff, then the privacy option is important.

Number of Maps: Basic = 1 Campaign Map, Ascended = 10 Maps - Now, don't think that you can only have just one map ever. You can delete that map and post new ones, however if your party is adventuring in a city with multiple locations inside it, you'll probably need the city map constantly as well as commonly visited locations (taverns, etc...)

Number of GMs: Basic = 1 GM, Ascended = Many GMs - I can only see this as important if people other than you are going to be running campaign sessions. This might be useful for a regular Society Group, however.

Bonuses: Basic = None, Ascended = Calendar, Forum, Backgrounds, Notifications - This is really the part that depends entirely on how much you want to rely on the internet to co-ordinate your campaign. Using the calendar, you can schedule and keep track of Game dates as well as who's turn it is to bring the snacks, etc. The Forum is useful if you need to discuss things going on between sessions. The backgrounds are just eye-candy on the site. Notifications are useful if you want all your players e-mailed every time you make an update to a session or forum.

I'm probably over-sharing, but I figured this is the best way to answer your question thoroughly. I had Ascended and dropped it for financial reasons, but I'd gladly get it back again if I knew I could afford it. The features are nice and I liked having them even if they weren't necessary.

This is my first campaign I posted there. Honestly, I got lazy and didn't submit the last 5 sessions on the Adventure Log (a mistake I've always meant to correct), but it serves as a good example of what you can do, I guess.
