Sounds good. Am hoping to register for Con beginning of next month after payday. Nostrus, you still thinking of going? Will maybe have to have another discussion about travel plans - there's also a chance that Fi & the kids might want to travel with me, and do their own thing during the day.

Nos, if it helps speed up play, where feasible assume Crar will do a Perception check each time he enters a new room. If I can think of any other automatic rolls that can be made in advance, I'll let you know.

Yup, that's the plan. Do you think you'd be taking the car down then? That's not a problem as I'm thinking of meeting up with the Knights of the Trinity guys on a Tuesday to see if I can get a Society game on a Tuesday night so might see if we can pick up more!

And sorry for the lack of update guys, stuff going on in my personal life again this weekend but things are okay now so I'll make a big update tomorrow lunch time.

Dunno, will have a look once I've had a chance to register - hope there are still places left. Starting to think I may be looking at Megabus or its ilk again.

That's cool about the Knights of Trinity, glad to see they're still on the go.

Grand Lodge

Please let me know of everyone around. I think there is a plan to have the Ciphermage Dilemma in one slot and I could GM it for the group if there are enough of us (probably will be filled up with guests).

I will be there the whole 5 slots together with the whole family.

Grand Lodge

Nostrus

No worries about the HP of the creature. Choke points are always a problem. If Latharel managed to get past then it will be toast soon enough.
From the description it could be a boggard - so lets see if Latharel can confirm this or has no clue (as it might be something different).

It just makes writing the fluff difficult as you like to embelish a hit or a good action but you can't be sure if you actually have succeeded. My rolls where good enough - so I hope I did - but you never know.

M almost human

Time for Targ to move in, if Latharel got past - get some flanking going.

Last time I looked only 2 tickets lft for PaizoconUK, hoping you get in, so we can meet up.

The Exchange

Just got confirmation that I've got a ticket, it looks like it might have been the last one. Nostrus, did you get a chance to register?

Eep. Ah well, I'll see if I can swing one but I couldn't pay for it at the weekend. You never know, someone might drop out and I'll get to go along.

The Exchange

Oh no! Yeah, hope that you can manage to get a place.

Here's hoping you'll get a ticket and we can get to meet up.

Otherwise Crazy and I will have to meet and drink to absent friends.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Witch 1

I'll be there to meet up... Not sure if I'll have chance to play on a table with you guys though; I've agreed to play the Eyes of the Ten series.

The Exchange

Won't be able to post for a few days, will be entertaining visitors. Will hopefully catch up with everyone on Monday.

Looking forward to seeing you all in person!

Last ticket bought and paid for. Now to get Nevis Lodge t-shirts! :P

Nice one Nostrus ... :) and T-shirts too!!!

The Exchange

Great news Nostrus!

The Exchange

Nostrus, where are you thinking of staying for PaizoCon? It looks to me like the best deal is the campus accommodation, though the best rooms have gone already. Not sure about getting down there. Drivign might actually turn out best, the family will have the car but could possibly rent a car to drive down. Get in touch, we could talk about prices.

I got a room at 'The Old Crown' no idea what its like but its a pub so can't be all bad! Details were on the PaizoConUK site.

The Exchange

Thanks Deevor, I'll look into it. Certainly, the photo of it looks pretty interesting.

M almost human

@Nostrus: Did you go to the Knights of the Trinity? Thinking of showing up one day, and either playig PFS, or running something else.

Hi guys. I think it only fair to let you know that I'm undergoing some personal changes at the moment which is diverting my time and energy away from my games at the moment. I have work, my daughter and gaming and I can't juggle all three.

However, I have no interest in dropping the games and leaving you all high and dry so I was wondering whether someone would be willing to take over the DMing duties for the remaineder of this module and part 3?

Also, what do you guys think about virtual tabletops? We could perhaps get a weekly/fortnightly game over a night, rather than things taking a long time on here?

Sorry to hear that you've got pressing challenges at the moment. I hope you are able to get through it all, and send my best wishes. Hoping we might meet at PaizoConUK, if that's still on your radar.

I would be OK GMing, if no one else takes up the reins to end this part, but as Kernsten is my first real society character I'd like to get him 2XP for PaizoConUK. Then he might get the next level at PaizoConUK and be even more awesome. OK forget the awesome bit. Plus as the meat shield of the group, I think he's quite important to keep the rest up and going.

Anyway I'll leave it to the rest of the group to have their say to.

Best wishes to you Nostrus.

The Exchange

I could have a stab at GMing as well - while I enjoy playing Crar, he's my second Society character on the go so it wouldn't be much loss to GM for a bit. It would be interesting, I've not run a Society module yet.

Hope things are going ok for you, Nostrus.

Okay, I'll send the file through to you, CHH. You guys are about halfway through so it wouldn't take long.

M almost human

Just a question, will you send out certs for the first adventure, or did I miss this?

Yeah, I need to do that too. It might make more sense for me to write them up and take them to the 'Con.

M almost human

Ah, missed nothing - I can do with a scan - not at the con, unfortunately...

Ah okay, then I'll try and get 'em done by the end of the week.

The Exchange

Ok, I'll look out for the module info, then we'll work on getting through it. Are there three modules in this series?

The modules are free downloads from the Paizo site, To Delve the Dungeon Deep and the third, A Vision of Betrayal If you want to get them tonight.

The Exchange

Thanks Deevor, I had forgotten they could be downloaded here. I've downloaded both, give me the weekend to read through it then Monday hopefully we can pick up where we left off.

Grand Lodge

I'm always happy to GM a scenario after the First Steps are finished.

Right now I'm enjoying to play.

The Exchange

Ok, updated the game thread, let me know if I've forgotten any details we've covered previously.

I'll try to keep the game running similarly to the way Nostrus set it up, including the new initiative rule, see if that helps us finish off the module.

Grand Lodge

CrazyHedgehog

Thanks for taking this up. If I'm a little bit reckless right now then to move it forward.

Did I get it right - it looks like the stairs up (and anything behind there) and a passage to the South out of room 5 are still left?

The Exchange

Yes, from what you've explored so far, what's left is a door at the end of the passageway at the top of the stairs, a rough cleft in the rock in the north-west corner of Room 5, and the entrance way in location 2 continues on for a bit further than we explored at the beginning.

Thod, I never got back to you before, do you still have seats left for the Ciphermage Dilemma? It sounds interesting.

Grand Lodge

I think Dave wants to have the Ciphermage Dilemma played at PaizoCon. I could ask to GM it there for as many of us as possible.
I lost track who of the group is coming - but I think it is most of us.

Alternativly I can run it here once we have finished Part III.

Any of you going to the Balti night?
I'm happy with whatever gets played, but be great to play o the same table once over the weekend.

The Exchange

Hoping to be able to be there in time for the Balti night on Friday.

I agree with Deevor, will be great just to game with you all in person.

The Exchange

Hey there, there will be a few days' break, I have a relative from the US coming to stay, and even though he's keep on some rping I might not have the opportunity to update posts between now and Wednesday 13th. If I can, I will, the party is nearly there.

I'm not sure there will be time to complete the next one before PaizoUK, but once we finish Delve the Dungeon Deep I'll try to transition straight over to the next module in the series.

As I only have 2 official society characters, I really want to be able to play Kernsten at PaizoCon, so when if there's a chance Kernsten would be still involved on the boards here, I'd rather not use Kernsten for the 3rd adventure.

Not sure what every one else thinks about this or what they want to do, but I appreciate CrazyHedgehogs guidance on this.

M almost human

No problems for me, whatever you prefer.
I am still hoping for the first cert though......
Another question, crazyhedgehog, could you also sign two certs for pathfinder tales for Targ - Plague of Shadows and Prince of Wolves please? Would be great - thanks!

If we do these first, first step adventures, we'll have 2 certs, 1 for each and then be 1 cert away from 2nd level. He said hoping.

Ok, no problems from me. In that case, would you consider running the third module ("A Vision of Betrayal") yourself? Then I could play Crar, and we'd all come out with the experience. I'll probably use my Brokkus character for the Con, and have another spare, so can save Crar for the messageboards.

Sure, can I do that? Happy to help if I can. Do I need to sign and scan a copy of the certs from those and send them to you? Still a bit fuzzy on that side of PFS play.

I'll get in touch with Nostrus and see if he can scare up those certs for the first module.

@crazyhedgehog - to make your life easier - here the links to the two certs:
Plague of Shadows Chroncile
Prince of Wolves chronicle and a
picture of the books - Thanks so much!

Just finished reading Prince of Wolves ... it was a struggle, hated the 1st person style of story telling, especially as there were 2 characters using 1st person, each in alternate chapters ... spoilt a pretty good yarn.

M almost human

But still, I found it better then the Shadow one.
Still not decided upon faction for Targ - but hey - it's still a long way to go....

I liked the first person narrative in Prince of Wolves, myself... but based on the comments on the product page and here, I might be in the minority.

I've yet to get around to reading any of the other Pathfinder Fiction books, with The Dresden Files and A Song of Ice and Fire eating up my attention lately.

Also read 'Death of a Heretic' and 'Song of the Serpent' ... I liked both of them, even though Death has one chapter which adds nothing to the story, but I liked the main protagonists in Death and also Serpent. Just started 'Winter Witch', which is going well.
