Cavalier Beastrider - Can they take Bestiary 2 companions?

I know... I know... Additional Resources page does not list them.

However, there are instances... or at least there were instances, in the PFS rules where if a class granted access then it was accessible.

With the Beastrider in UC, it's very prescriptive on what is allowed, listing the specific companions. An example would be the Allosaurus, which is in the B2.

Good question because those choices are not banned in the UC portion of the additional resources. It could go either way but since the B2 is not an additional resource I would say that you can not. Do you have a link to those instances of granted access?

I believe that falls under the 'unless allowed by another legal source' wording.

If a list of items in UC is allowed, and that list enumerates something in B2 then it is a legal choice in that instance.

I bought the B2 when I realized the Allosaurus wasn't in the B1.

I've since decided I wasn't going to take the Beastrider archetype anyway, but I'd still be upset if I heard someone say a Beastrider couldn't have an Allosaurus mount on account of it being in B2 despite being explicity listed as an available mount.

Tangent:
It does raise a question I thought about but never bothered asking. Beastmaster says a mount must have 4 legs, yet it gives examples of ones explicitly allowed that do not :D I assume they mean 4 LIMBS instead of necessarily legs.
