Crescentia recovery?

Shackled City Adventure Path

Scarab Sages

Has anyone played this out? I am planning on my PC to have the dream of the sword when they reach the demonskar, then feel a tug. Since we know Vitris Bale has a role to play later in the campaign, did you have anything gaurding the sword, or just have it laying at the bottom of the gorge? Just curious how you played the recovery of this important item??

Scarab Sages

any ideas?

I was thinking of making it a wraith of Vitris Bale, then using a fifferent Dragon in Chapter 8, or whichever one the dracolich makes an appearance.

It's been awhile since we played the Demonskar chapter, but I don't have any recollection of a sword named Crescentia lying at the bottom of a gorge. Nor do I recall any references to Vitriss Bale until chapter 7 - Secrets of the Soul Pillars.

There is the legendary staff Alakast, guarded by the hags. But in the book it's not at the bottom of a gorge.

Can you elaborate on where the reference to Crescentia might be found?

I believe it was an add on from another GM. Here is the link. It is not mentioned in the book, but if you read the dream, it's pretty cool

G'day Patman. I came up with Cestentia many moons a go and the idea to link it to Vittrus Bale too but that wasn't one of the dreams I have written. I'm trying to remember if I actually had my group find the Sword in the Chasm or not. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

My group is current undertaking a side trek after completing the Thirteen Cages adventure before I start them on the final stage of the adventure.

Great to hear you are still haunting this board
