I have a couple questions about PFS
1. What do I have to do to dm adventures in PFS for my friends and make them official?
2. What do i have to do to run a few adventures at GenCon2012? I have played a couple years and i always run the games for my friends, what do I have to do?
3. How can I level my character if I am dm'ing adventures for my friends?
4. Is there a venture captain in my area? Columbus Oh?

1) A copy of the mod, some PFS numbers, and reporting the events. First step is clicking the big pathfinder society link on the upper lefthan side.
2) Your VC should be able to help you with that.
3) Check out the PFS organized play rules for that info.
4) Yes, again the PFS orgplay rules will have your answer.

What he said.
Also:
3) When you GM a scenario you can then apply the scenario sheet to any character you have that does not have credit for the scenario. GMing is the only way to get double credit on scenarios (1 for play and 1 for GM). Take a look at the Guide to organized play.
4) Absolutely there is one for Columbus. No idea who it is. Check the Guide again. There is a new section with all the Venture Captains and their contact information.

Actually there isn't a VC for Columbus. Russel is in Cincinnati, Doug has Detroit, and Mark has Indy. You're surrounded by not covered.
As for GenCon 2012, have you considered going to Origins first? There will be a great demand for GM's at Origins next year.
