Shadow Lodge - the IPCC?

Hi

Is the Shadow Lodge the new IPCC (Independent Pathfinder Complaints Commission), since they're the new Pathfinder Watchdog?

(For non-Brits IPCC is the Independent Police Complaints Commision, or IAD in USA)

Thanks
Paul H
Edit: PS Any chance my char can be allowed to have some ID docs made up? (IPCC). No game effect, just roleplaying value? Reckon cost about 1GP?

So, the way I've been explaining the Shadow Lodge's goals in Pathfinder Society is that they're wanting some basic benefits for the Pathfinders.

Yeah, wacky, I know, but I can only see it as some guy going to HR at work and going "Can we get some friggin insurance!?" and hounding them about it.

In all seriousness, though, the Shadow Lodge wants to make sure that the Ten are treating the rank-and-file pathfinders with due respect and not pawns. Eventually, I can see Torch making a play to get the Ten to reveal themselves, but that's likely a long ways off.

EDIT:

I didn't even answer your question, now that I returned from happy fluff-land. Since they could potentially have in-game reprecussions, you would have to purchase them like any other item. I believe forged documents are in Adventurer's Armory, but i'm not certain.

I see them as a union, too.

To answer the OP: purchase a "masterwork tool" that gives you +2 on your diplomacy (or intimidate, if you see the flavor going that way). Your tool, of course, being the badge or document.

Hi

Thanks for the input. Just read the Shadow Lodge background, and IPCC sprang to mind. :P

I wasn't intending to add in-game bonuses, just a bit of fun'n flavour for my character.

Of course, there could be future scenarios where the Shadow Lodge are doing some form of internal investigation into the PF Lodge? Someone using their PF membership for their own personal political & financial gain?

(One day I'm gonna have to get these ideas down and actually write the scenarios...).

Thanks
Paul H
