I'd like a belt of physical perfection, but at CL 16, I don't think anyone in the party is going to be making me one to order :/
Also I was thinking of getting a blue sphere ioun stone for +2 wis. surprisingly the blue rhomboid I have for Alertness is more expensive. Do you think I could just trade it or have it re-tuned for the Wis bonus? Also kinda wanted it implanted in my forehead, but not essential.
Finally, I might get Koya to make me some potions of Eagle Splendor.

Upgrade rules are core to magic item crafting. To calculate, subtract the creation cost of your current item from the cost of the final item. So there's no need to sell off items to get new ones made.
Before you guys get too slap happy, keep in mind the city does have a base value and spending limit. A lot of the big ticket items you're wanting to trade/buy are probably not available. Upgrades are crafted, not just automatic swaps with the local vendor.

The value cap on available items in OA is 6400 gp which isn't particularly high for 9th level characters that should be at WBL 46,000 gp.
and seeing as we haven't had access to any real markets or ability to upgrade over the top of the world, there's quite a bit of pent up demand.
Problem is that if the AP is on a tight time frame, we don't have the months to craft all the requested stuff.
Is there is a bigger city coming up and how far away is it?

So trying to actually put a value on my gear, i'm likely around 50k. so good enough for me. I can put off my purchases a couple levels though i always feel like I need to focus on boosting AC and hp.

@ Heng: all of the above understood, but O-A is still a relatively small city, with limited resources. You probably won't see a large city until you get to Minkai. I just want to make sure the group isn't spending 100k collectively, etc.
I'd contest that you *have* had months to craft, 16 weeks from Kalsgard! And you're 2K+ miles to go, so there will be time ahead as well.

DmNom- is there a pathfinder lodge in town at all? I was thinking of getting a wayfinder to hold my ioun stone. Heng finds the flying around the head thing tends to attract attention.

@ Heng: Hongal is a bit remote for a full-up lodge, but the Lantern Lodge might have a presence in O-A. They likely wouldn't sell you a wayfinder unless you're a member. You're probably better off having Maeve make one for you (1 day, easy reqs). I have no problems with the resonant powers.

If you know what you're looking for, they're a treasure trove of useful info. And the Society doesn't issue new ones to non-Pathfinders.

true. i was kinda thinking Heng might do a little research on Tian lands and get a Wayfinder as well at a PF lodge, but you are correct that they are unlikely to allow outsiders to buy one and Heng isn't likely to want to join that lot. I don't see anyone being able to easily make them, they're all Azlanti and stuff. I may just go back to the idea of implanting the ioun stone in my forehead...

Yah. Throwing together a basic Wayfinder is pretty easy. The big trick would be in making one that looks exactly like a Pathfinder-issued one, which isn't really the goal here unless Heng really wants to try to pass as one for some reason. Many "Special" Wayfinders, on the other hand, probably just can't be made since their construction is a secret - Dayfinders, for example, that are the work of the Silver Crusade.

Hehe! I've got the basic laydown on the skill challenges. You can lay out any requests in game, but the main limitation is one PC per challenge, no aid other. You can Take 10, but not 20. Once you decide who is doing what, if anything, I give you the specifics.
