Since humaniods will be a constant feature of this line. Consider doing linked series like the Watch Guards.
Examples:
Pirate Crew
Bandits
Cult of the Dark Tapestry
Religious Organizations (Cleric of, Paladin of, Actolyte of, Inquistor of, High Priest of, Hierophant of, etc. maybe even Druid of, & Ranger of when appropriate)
Theives Guild
Organizations (Hell Knights, Lion Blades, Aspis Consortium, Szcarni)For these cover everything from the lowly grunt (whatever that may be for the individual organization) up to the Big Boss (again organization dependant)
"Viking" Raiders
Druidic Circle
Angry Mob (Think Pitch Forks and Torches)
Tavern Regulars
Street Gang
Town Market
Regional Groups (Mwangi Tribe, Shoanti Tribe, Mammoth Lords Tribe, etc.)
Desert Nomands
Artic Nomands
Northern Garund Watch Guard (The Watch Guard we have is Great for most anywhere in Avistan, lets have a Watch Guard for other areas)
Dragon Empires Watch Guard

*Note: Feel free to think outside the box, there can be dwarfs in the street gang, gnomes in the druidic circle, halflings in the Aspis Consortium, and elves on the pirate crew.

Also please don't shy away from humaniod monsters like Giants, Hags, Fey, Drow (Dark Elves), Boggards, Lizardfolk, Skum, and petty much anything that has a general humanoid shape that you don't have to brand as another human.

Pirate crews and bandit gangs really should look more rag-tag in appearance, rather than unified in dress like city guards.

That said the following three pictures from Pirates of the Inner Sea would be definitely on my wishlist. In order of importance:
The Half-Orc Corsair on pg. 22
The Dwarf Pirate on pg 15
and (the one exception to the unified appearance) The Andoran Privateer on pg 5

I for one would also like to see an Ogre pirate, and some non-combatant humanoid monsters (a Kobold merchant, a goblin whelp (perhaps several as a swarm-esque encounter), A dark-stalker information broker (a la Needleman in Downer), that sort of thing.

I'd love to see an other pathfinder heroes set. With this set I'd like it to be all of the non-core playable races, both male and female for each race.

Aasimar
Fetchling
Ifrit
Merfolk
Oread
Tengu
Tiefling
Sylph
Undine
And the rest.

A large or huge mini that looks like a cross between a zombie and a skeleton. Usable for an undead giant or a flesh golem.

PC or NPC Nobles.

Peasants, Merchants, Laborers.

Giant Amoeba.

The house sized Giant SLUG!

Qlippoths. We have no minis for them at all. And other outsiders, such as agathions and daemons, and there's never enough devils and demons, either.

How about them nightshades, eh!

Gunslingers. Also entirely missing.

Huge and Gargantuan shoggoths :) Really, all of the Lovecraftian creatures are under-represented. Heck, tentacly nasties need more representation.

Tiny minis to use as familiars. Tired of using paper clips and the like.

BIG dinosaurs.

Giants. Giants have always been lacking.

I think it would be rather unique (with heavy Golarion flavor) to see a large rare Orrery mini. Useful for several locations, or just as a stand-in for gears and such.

I'd like to see something on the lines of "War Parties". A collection of all the same type/race of mini in one pack. Like how they are doing the "Evil" pack, but just say, all zombies, or all orcs, or all goblins. They are always the same, and it lets you really fill out your armies fast. Because you never fight just one or two orcs at a time. Even if half the ones in the box where just repaints from earlier sets, See Evil above, I would still be happy.

I just want my goblin hoards!

I like The packs, just wish their was 1 more zombie in them, or 4 commons instead of 1, or at least non repainted commons. I use a lot of Minions in my game, and it would make it easier to round out a groups of four minions if they were the same as the ones found in the blisters, I do like the rares and uncommons getting repaints though.

I know this isnt Pathfinder...

But in honor of the first Paizo Adventure Path I would really love to see the Demodands be made into miniatures. And since they just appeared in the Beastiary 3 it would be perfectly acceptable to do it.

some dungeon decor might be nice like a cauldren or torture devices

Here we go now I am in the right location, thank you Vic. Monsters? Heroes? We'll get these in every set, maybe not the ratios that some people want, but we'll get them. What we won't get most likely, however is a range of miniatures useful in a variety of non-combat situations as well. I'm hoping that the Pathfinder Battles, pre-painted plastic miniatures line can rectify some of this. Here is what I would like to see.

Ordinary people / Townsfolk:
Commoner w/ torch
Commoner w/ pitchfork
Shackled prisoner or slave (human, dwarf, 1/2 elf, 1/2 orc)
Tavern patrons (human, dwarf, 1/2 orc)
Tavern wench
Inn/tavernkeeper
Strumpet (human, 1/2 elf, 1/2 orc)
Madame
Town Crier
Stablehand
Beggar
Blacksmith
Farrier
Pickpocket
Baker
Young male Gypsy (no disrespect meant to the Romany)
Older male Gypsy (no disrespect meant to the Romany)
Older female Gypsy Harrow reader (no disrespect meant to the Romany)
Young female Gypsy dancer (no disrespect meant to the Romany)
Boy Child w/ an over-sized helmet and a wooden sword
Mongrel Dog
Girl Child w/doll
Street child
Youth gang member (human, 1/2 orc)
Rural child w/ sling
Toddler w/ bear or blanket
Servant of the Nobility
Page
Squire
Grave Digger
Errand Boy / messenger
Runaway
Livestock (Pigs, Horse, Cattle)

Odd characters / critters:
Goblin wearing a cookpot as a helmet
Orc matron w/ cleaver
Orc child
Orc tribal champion (primitive)
Orc tribal shaman (primitive)
Vegepygmy
Primitive tribal humans (African, Native American, or aborigine-like)
Neaderthal
Pirates, 2 or 3 different (human 1/2 elf, 1/2 orc, dwarf, gnome)
Pirate Captain
A dark-skinned Devotee of Besmara
Cabin boy
Undead pirates, 2 or 3 different
Ghost child
Conjoined twins
Amazon Warrior
A heavy highland warrior in a kilt
A rangy highland warrior in a kilt
A Minstrel Boy
A bagpiper (Same clan as the highland warriors)

The Apprentices:
Apprentice wizard
Clerical Noviate
Novice paladin
Ranger's apprentice
Young Witch
Young Amazon

Creatures and characters from the realm of Faerie Tales:
A Charming Prince
The Girl in the Hood (not necessarily red)
A Damsel, possibly in distress
A Shellycoat (Green-hag)
A Beautiful Witch
A Hag crone
An awakened wolf (make sure it's big and bad)
An idiot or fool
A shepherdess
A retired fighter, partially gone to fat
An older, rotund noble (a merry old soul)
The handsome, clean shaven wood cutter
A swashbuckling cat in Corinthian leather footwear
A maiden, blonde and fair

Here are a few more ideas I came up with while at work.

More from Fairy-tale land:
A lg Male werebear
An obviously female werebear, tipping the top height of medium
A small werebear cub, dressed in the same manner as one of the children I described in a the previous post
An animated marrionet
A Beast, brutal and ugly (dressed in the manner of the Charming Prince)
A Boggard wearing a crown
2 or 3 different merfolk, including a smallish (though still medium) maid
A sea hag
A Trollop (female troll)
A Tinker or mercenary soldier with a lantern
An ugly young gentlewoman
An ugly older gentlewoman
A dwarven Miner
A pretty girl of indeterminate birth dressed in rags
A Baker
A Butcher
A Miser
A small firebird (not to be confused with a phoenix)
A maiden with exceptionally long tresses (we're talking Crystal Gail long here folks)
A Cobbler
A Darkly beautiful evil fey woman
A Hook-handed Pirate Captain
A Female Cloud Giant dressed for domestic duties (apron and rolling pin, not armor and sword)
An immature phoenix
A humanoid hedgehog on or off a Riding rooster
A riding rooster (size Large)

Other oddities and some Golarian specific pieces:
A dwarven minor
A decent wereboar (the one from DDM sucked, I'm sorry, but it did)
The Knight of the Woeful Countenance (bonus points to anyone who understands this reference)
The KotWC's rather portly squire
The Beast of Leipstahdt
The Black Coach of Bastardhall
Luvieck Seiverge (sp?) vampire lord of Caliphas
Mammy Graul

And the can of worms, Beastmen (humanoid animals):
A cat nanny
A cat maid
A cat scout (male or female)
A cat strumpet
A cat thief (male)
A lion warrior
A lioness hunter
A lion pimp
A tiger or tigress monk
A dog servant
A dog warrior
A dog maid
A dog pirate / merchant sailor (Mongrel)
A dog sailor (Newfoundland)
A hyaena warrior (not a Gnoll)
An albino gorilla amazon (top end of medium)
An oragutan physician
A chimpanzee scientist
A pig matron
A pig strumpet
A pig thatcher
A pig mason
A pig woodsman
A pig constable (yes, I went there)
A horse gardener (top end of medium)
A horse trader (went there too) (top end of medium)
A horse knight (roan) (Large)
A parrot pirate
An owl sage
A gnu of zebu priest / judge (top end of medium)
A bat detective
A dolphin or orca sailor (medium in the one case, Large in the other)
A komodo monitor laborer
A rhino gladiator (Large)
An elephant warrior (Large)
An elephant priest (Large)
A hippo mercenary in johdpurs with a monocle, a pair of pistols in hand and a sabre at his hip (Large)(I know this one would never happen, but if I am going to wish I am going to wish big, and this is one of my characters).

Now although these are "furries," before people dismiss them out of hand, my thought process when I came up with these was 'Island of Dr. Moreau,' or 'Kamandi' not 'sex-zoo' (or even Zoobilee Zoo) or anything of that nature.

Now a lot of my suggestions are for non-combat minis, more correctly, they are for combat minis in non-combat situations. Far too often I have had players invade a stronghold's kitchen or smithy or barracks and the only mini's I had were fully armed and armored, but the encountered creatures were engaged in everyday activities like cooking or repairing a tool or sleeping and were not. Yet for some reason, non-combat minis are only rarely produced.

A good mini always should be either a perfect fit for an encounter that has been planned by the GM already or should inspire an encounter of its own. I hope these and my previous post can do that as well.

I will tell you this: if it doesn't fit in the Pathfinder campaign setting, the odds of it showing up in the Pathfinder Battles line are so close to zero that they might as well be zero.

Aside from Puss in Boots and the re-skinned Giff, which of the character types mentioned does not fit the pathfinder setting? They are all possible under the RAW (even puss and the Giff though they take a bit of extra work). Not trying to be a troll here, but I am genuinely curious.

Being possible and being in Golarion are two different things. Remember, most of the minis thus far (that were not sculpted already before the deal) have used art from paizo products. So:

1) It needs to show up in a Golarion book
2) Its more likely if it has art

Your beast-men don't exist in Golarion. Also many of your townsfolk would be the same person, dressed the same way, in different poses.... considering the number of people who have been saying that 5 humans per set is too much on these boards.... you may get one or two, but I foresee them being dropped regularly for more essential minis.

The thing is, you would need multiple different kinds of townfolk, similar to the different types Leo had described.

Just so you aren’t using ‘Bob, the Farmer’ for all farmers or the same boy you used for a farmer’s boy is now being used as a boy on the street in the same game session.

I would say it would very much like you see varying characters characters of the same class type. Multiple archers, mages, clerics, etc.

Yes, I understand peasant/townsfolk are not as popular as classed characters, so we wouldn’t have as much selection. However, I would still like to see a good enough selection, at least down the line, as in our campaigns we do a lot of role-playing with townsfolk.

Cpt_kirstov is generally correct, as usual! (I wouldn't say it *needs* to show up in a Golarion book first; for example, monsters from the Bestiaries could probably make it into the line without yet having appeared in a book specifically set in Golarion.)

Fair enough, thank you for your candor.

And for the record most of the complaints about 5 humans being to much on the boards, is more correctly 5 PC type minis is too much in one set (wheather they were human or not), at least so far as I have seen. In fact I am in agreement that 5 PC pieces that are not also easily usable as a townsfolk / NPC encounter is probably too many. But then again, I'm of the opinion that 1 elf in a set is a wasted slot (just an example and a personal opinion, once again not trying to be a troll). I accept that they are a necessity, however.

You would be suprised. Townsfolk have a dedicated following. A farmer was one of the hardest to find commons in the D&D minis line.

I'd like to see more minis that aren't holding weapons. Trying to find a mini for a spellcaster that doesn't run around with a sword drawn is pretty tough because almost every mini wields a weapon (including staves). I would also like to see some minis holding shields and no weapon appropriate for a non-violent cleric for instance.

A mini that I've often wished I could get in large numbers is a small shocker lizard. It would have to be a common, since they're best in packs.

It would also be nice to have small monstrous spiders; I think in all the existing lines the spiders start at medium, but in low-level adventures the spiders are often small.

And I want to second what lots of other people have said about fey. I would be so thrilled to have some pixies, nixies, nymphs, dryads, etc. to put on the table!

It would also be great to have a wider range of animals. Baboons seem to come up pretty regularly. I'd love to see a pack mule. An elephant, or a mammoth. A medium dog. A medium lion or tiger. A small cat.

How about an aquatic/maritime-themed set? This range of minis is really poorly represented in the existing prepainted world. It could include: merfolk, tritons, giant octopus, giant squid, sharks, a kraken, an improvement on the DDM aboleth, locathah, skum, dolphins, aquatic trolls, marids, dragon turtle, giant crabs, sea hag, and lots of pirates! It could also include some ships and boats, from a medium jollyboat to a huge or gargantuan galleon. A large raft could be really useful too, especially since it would be easy to stand minis on!

And bring on the FROGHEMOTH!

I don't know if it's been stated before but:

Stop repainting and reselling the same model for 9 different runs.

It's already been done to the Heroes and Monsters set with the new bubble pack. OOOOOOOOOO, red gargoyle. succubus with different colored wings.

come on!

That was done specifically to cater to customers who didnt want to buy blind miniatures. Wizkids and Paizo are not expecting everyone to want everything they produce and it's not really accurate to consider both offerings as part of the same product line - they have a different target market.

.
Essentially the Heroes and Monsters set provided us with a wide range, low cost, high quality set of minis but we had to accept the randomised format. For those who didnt want that, Wizkids produced a visible, non-random set - but those unwilling to purchase random minis had to make do with a significantly reduced range.

The repaint is a nod to those of us who bought the H&M set - they could have just repackaged them with the same paint job as the original versions. Including repaints means that, for those of us who want a bit of variety, we can pick up the nonrandom sets and still get a bit of added value.

Gugs would be awesome
More racially diverse PC minis.

I think repaints in the encounter packs is the perfect way to do it.

I would prefer that repaints don't make their way into the larger sets.

Yeah, I love repaints, too.

If you've got an encounter with multiple variants of a creature, it's nice to have a similar, but recognizably different mini to differentiate between the types of baddies.

Also, I still need a blonde Succubus...

Do we have some idea of which adventure path might be tackled after Shattered Star? I'd like to see Council of Theives or Kingmaker. But as long as they keep up the quality, I'll probably bend my AP schedule to fit the releases.

My question this, are you going to eventually do all the miniatures for all the adventure paths as well as the pawn sets for them? I think it would be neat to alternate between an old adventure path and a new one. Say crimson throne and reign of winter, then second darkness and skulls and shackles and so forth. I love all your minis and can't wait for the announcement of the next set, but more importantly can't wait for you all to ship my shattered star case and blue dragon.

I was thinking this morning that in addition to more mounted figures (preferably with a non-mounted figure of the rider as well) in general, it would be great to have a Halfling mounted on a dog as well.

Could you try to include a badger in a set? All the other animal companions for the Iconics are included except for poor Biter (who isn't even mentioned in Hasrk's bio and therefore gets no love). I would love to be able to add him to my collection alongside Daji, Droogami, and Donahan.
