Well, don't assume you miss :). I would assume you should roll your attack and damage (to save time), and then let the DM tell you if it hits or not.

Bronwyn, I'm just curious what performance you are using to inspire courage?

Male Elf Wood Elementalist Wizard

Well I previewed the roll and was only an 11 and even if i got the +1 for the performance from browyn would only be 12 I dont think the boss would have that as an ac

Pretty cool way to help out Tholamin. We can probably save a lot of gold with you supplying unique items to us. Also seeing as 2/3 of the party are casters you could probably recycle wands for a quite a while

Yes it would save money, but he'll also have to have all the spells to for the appropriate magic items. However this can be solved. You can buy scrolls to use in placement of spells like my alchemist has planned in another kingmaker. She's going to make constructs, but only for storyline as I promised the DM I wouldn't make it overpowered by crafting a bunch of golem and then bringing them with us as it would make encounters far less exciting when a single character can swarm a enemy with a army og Golems.

In other news i just got Tome of Horrors Complete. Oh the monsers that I could use...

Male Elf Wood Elementalist Wizard

Actually with other spellcasters on creating magic items they can supply the spell if I cant use it. It adds +5 to the spellcraft dc at the end for each component im missing but is doable

Your Humble Narrator

Its +5 to the DC if you don't have access to the spell at all. Which you'll still generally pass on a take 10.

I think I'm going to put some levels into Cleric since I'm pretty much the main healer. Even one level and some channeling would help us a lot. Travel and strength domains would fit my character pretty well.

Think for sanity's sake I'll go with DM AK's suggestion with houseruling the creations feats to be 100% the cost which makes sense as you can build buildings that generate magic items, though you still have to buy the magic items or you can sell them on or if you want to piss off the locals you just take the item for yourself.

Basically you guys would end up with far more magic items that for your level and will probably make all the encounters a cake-walk in comparison.

Yeah so I'll be the nerd who asks.

DM Aron - Ultimate Combat is a stones throw away. Will the feats and equipment in there be available to those of us who plan to get it or should we wait until you have access to it first?

This is the point where Ganit is hit by a bolt of lightning in-game.

Sorry lil new on magic creation

Actually if its going to be too much trouble be easier to just not do it. I just was wanting a career thing in mind fo character. But I dont like idea of overloading party anyways ruins the game then I get to watch everyone else have fun lol. Just let me know so I can remake character advance plan

Lol...well no I would've done that if you wanted to be a gunslinger :p. I'll take a look at Ultimate Combat and then let you know what I think. probably will, though I hate Gunslinger for the same reasons DM AK hates it which is that the class aims for touch AC and renders most monsters with high AC completely worthless.

Yeah it'd be the same for cost of buying the item. It's your decision ultimately as you can still take feats like spell penetraition and metamagic feats.

As for my comments:
DM Aron, horses are large creatures. They would take up 2x2 squares. This would mean the are squeezing if they go into alleys.

To help Zayne out in the future - He may have some cover from the wagon (if he goes prone - since it didn't look like he got the benefit earlier, probably cause Happs is mounted, but if he did, I'm very scared O.o)

Male Elf Wood Elementalist Wizard

Actually I have a question whats going to be your rules on death and new characters?

Bronwyn and Zayne have to act and then the bandits.

Ohhhh well I know zayne is just going to try and crawl to the opposite wall next to him and sit down lol can't do much else

Male Human Bard 4

Done ;)

edit: Hadn't seen your question. I'm using (oratory), using a little magic to enhance all my shouting and encouraging.

Ok, that's what I thought. Unfortunately I won't get the bonus from that then, as I don't understand you and it is language dependent.

Sorry lil new on magic creation

Nope it'll cost you 1000 to build it just in raw materials. 2000 is the market value.

For example, look at the Ring of Invisibility on page 481 of the Core Rulebook. Under Construction Requirements it lists: Forge Ring (feat), invisibility (spell); 10,000gp.

So as long as you have all of those things you can have your PC spend the next few weeks crafting himself that ring. Our DM will even let you pick up scrolls for items that require a spell your PC doesn't know. Wizards being so great that you could even learn spells from using scrolls with some good spellcraft checks.

Crafting gets confusing (though super rewarding) when you start designing your own equipment. Stuff like Corrosive Burst Great Swords that allow disintegrate 1/day. Needless to say you'd be a pretty valuable asset if you took this route

Male Elf Wood Elementalist Wizard

yes ganit but the gm was saying he was going to use a houserule to make it still cost 100% of market value to build or buy from market

well actually the horses are described in size as below:

Space 10 ft.; Reach 5 ft.

Usually that 10ft space is in a straight line so they could possibly fit through alley ways and these are average horses, not big war-trained and bred horses either so it's very possible.
Hmm...didn't actually take the wagon into effect because Zayne hadn't decided to just go prone (free action to just drop to the floor) so he could still be seen quite clearly.

Also...I just scared myself with Happs' roll on mighty Sir Bronwyn Reslov.

Tholamin Medvyed wrote:
Actually I have a question whats going to be your rules on death and new characters?

Well I'm not sure how much you know about the new pathfinder rules, but you don't die until your negative hitpoint equal your con score.

For example, Nefi Lagalos here my Alchemist here has a con score of 14. This means that if she gets knocked down to -9 and then bleeds into -10 she is still alive until she reaches past -14 as per the new rules:

d20pfsrd wrote:

On the character's next turn, after being reduced to negative hit points (but not dead), and on all subsequent turns, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check to become stable. The character takes a penalty on this roll equal to his negative hit point total. A character that is stable does not need to make this check. A natural 20 on this check is an automatic success. If the character fails this check, he loses 1 hit point. An unconscious or dying character cannot use any special action that changes the initiative count on which his action occurs.

So if Nefi here fell unconcious at -3 from the damage she took from a Orc's axe then she would have to roll: 1d20+2-3 and if she beats DC 10 she stops bleeding and stabalises.

I'm quite soft and there's a good chance I'm not going to let anyone instantly die from the first encounter and rule it off as badluck, unfortuatly this is not a charity case and will never happen again.

P.S. This is the DM.

I can always manufactor something for a new character arriving such as a late arrival from the sword-lords or a traveller who came to hear of the group that came down here and wishest to lend his/her sword.

Or if it were to happen sometime after you've established a kingdom then there are many other reasons as many travellers will be entering the established kingdom.

Of course it's a long way, away but you'll all have a say in the kingdom building and the baron (or baroness) will basically be the face of the nation. Someone who wears their crest and is the face of the kingdom. As the nation grows you'll change from Baron, then Duke and finally King when reaching a certain nation size.

Male Elf Wood Elementalist Wizard

cool cool now to see if these bandits will listen to me ;)

Lol you wish. that'd make the entire encounter too easy. I trust this homebrewed 6 person kingmaker at 15 point. If I were to make it 20 point that would mean I would've had to have added 2 more bandits and Happs' gear would've improved too and possibly be even more dangerous.

Last thing you want is for him to have bracers of archery, lesser or a ring of protection.
