Male Human Bard 4

Holy F that guy is still alive! Could I have a round of prayers that I survive this round?

Male Human Bard 4

Also, I am now completely visible at Y25 for future references.

Male Human Wizard 4 (hp: 33/33 AC: 13, FF: 12, T:12)

I will be gone for Memorial Day Weekend. Leaving shortly, I will be back Monday night.

Male Human Bard 4

See ya Zores, have a good weekend :)

Male Human Wizard 4 (hp: 33/33 AC: 13, FF: 12, T:12)

Thanks, Bron. I just got back and had a most relaxing and rejuvenating weekend. I had a fantastic time with a mini surf board in the ocean with my son. I ate like a king all weekend and need to think of a way to get some more exercise in the next few days.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Likewise, I am back. I think I averaged snorkeling an hour or more every day with my boys. You don't feel like you are doing anything, until you finish and realize you have been swimming for over an hour.

Male Human Bard 4

Glad to see you guys had so much fun :)

For myself, I stayed home and watched series with my fiancée and ran a playtest session of D&D Next on Sunday. It looks weird.

Male Human Bard 4

Wow, just realized that Stag Helm would be killer for Ganit, even if only once per day. Free ranged sneak attack? Sign me up please!

Plus the fact is, it makes the target considered flat-footed so easier to hit. Especially if shooting against a rogue, monk or some other character or creature that relies on Dex for AC. Plus if Ganit becomes a woreshipper of Erastil (which he may, depends on roleplaying if he truely goes back to Erastil) then it'll be 3 times a day.

Male Human Bard 4

You guys mind if we deal with the crazy old dude before dividing the loot? Then I'm sure Ganit will have a field day calculating all that stuff :)

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Yep - crazy dude first, loot split second. Unless Ganit wants to try on his new helm of horns. I was wondering why he did not raise his hand when that showed up, I know I would if I was a archer with any tie to Erastil.

Male Human Bard 4

I figured it was the way Zorestar explained about the item. Ganit and Erastil have a on-off kind of relationship xD

he doesn't have too solid a backstory and have been tossing ideas around with you all. So far I get the feeling he doesn't like Erastil. One of the god hating stories of "Where was he when the crop failed? Where was he when my sister was ill and we didn't have the mone for medicine? Where was he?" however with the events in the stolen lands he might take up the religion again, it depends. He can certainly still use it for the ability and perception bonus but I think it's more of a roleplaying thing.

The Hermit Ganit D'Artain wrote:

What he said :D But yeah, I love to see roleplaying like that where someone refuses to pick up a powerful magic item because it represents a deity they dislike or something like that. The presance thing I just added, which is why I said it just dissappeared. He was pleased to see someone more worthy to wear it than the stag lord. Afterall, he could only use it once a day :p

Aron - I realize I never responded to your email a few weeks ago. I'll have that up for you by the weekend. I drank a couple red bulls and burnt myself out after a page and a half in Word before I realized that I hadn't even gotten to the point yet. I'll be sure to tone back and give you straight answers soon.

Male Human Bard 4

Who has that wand of CLW? We could surely use some charges of that.

That'll be awesome. No rush, same to everyone else, no rush but means I can do foreshadowing earlier when there's a chance.

Also I quite often write whilst drinking red bull, lol. Not quite four though, I find music helps me concentrait better.

@Bron: I believe it's Telias who has it as he's the only one in the group with divine magic...apart from Ganit in later levels depending on how many ranger levels he gets.

Male Human Bard 4

Can we get a couple heals from the wand before descending into the basement? Bron is at half HP, I think Telias is worse.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Tellias has the wand I think, but Bron, you can use it as CLW is on your spell list. Just roll as many heals as you need and then post the total so that whoever has it can deduct the charges. No reason to wait on anyone for out of combat CLW wand healing.

Telias will check tonight most likely so that we are healed and ready to go on this assault tomorrow, or even later this evening if DM Aron is still awake.

Telias bought a fully charged wand not too long ago and we also bought one with 20 charges on it before he joined the game. I think you actually have the 20 charged CLW wand Bron. I can't imagine why Telias would be carrying both around.

Male Human Bard 4

Well, if Aron doesn't mind, I'll jot down the 20-charge cure light wounds wand on my sheet and use a few charges.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

If I had to guess, Cambyl probably has it on his sheet and we forgot to take it when he retired.

I think I had him hand it to the group since he would be staying here and didn't feel the need for the wand.

Male Human Wizard 4 (hp: 33/33 AC: 13, FF: 12, T:12)

I'm such an experiential learner. I guess Zorestar sometimes learns the hard way as well. I can't believe I missed the fact that Mage Armor gave an armor bonus. Well, I guess it was the thought that counts.

Male Human Bard 4

Carina's right it won't do much, but thanks for the intention anyways Zorestar. That wand could prove ridiculous useful in any situation where we would need to engage in physical activities, say crossing a rickety rope bridge or swimming, since my armor has a -2 armor penalty (which turns into a -4 at Swim checks). One quick charge of that wand leaves me with the same AC for 1 hour sans the skill penalty.

Male Human Wizard 4 (hp: 33/33 AC: 13, FF: 12, T:12)

This is where I wished I had gotten the wand of magic missile instead.

Your Humble Narrator

Nag Aron about it, hes a pushover softie ;).

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Na, Wand of MM guarantees a hit, but only dies 1d4+1, you are just about as good with a crossbow doing 1d8 with a chance of missing. The Wand of Mage armor is a great tool.

Male Human Wizard 4 (hp: 33/33 AC: 13, FF: 12, T:12)

Thanks for the suggestion DM Alex! But hopefully I will get the wand of MM soon and then I will have both at my disposal. In the meanwhile, we will just push forward.

depends on the CL of the wand being created. At higher levels it'll be fun to have that wand for when you need some force energy or just guarenteed hits.

Thus the difference between finding a Wand of MM and buying one. A level 3 wand with 2 missiles (2d4+2 damage) would be 2250, a level 5 wand would be 3750. For that amount, you can get a lot of other good gear. Plus, we have me, destructo woman with all the boom necessary.

Thus, my statement a few months ago. In my opinion, Wands are really best if you can effectively use the spell at the lowest caster level for the spell. A CL3 Wand of Invisibility would be decent, a CL10 Wand of Invisibility, while giving you more time invisible, is just foolish. Wands are great for long/longer duration defensive spells that do not have saving throws. Shield, Mage Armor, Enlarge Person, and the like. Boom Boom wands - Fireball, Lightning Bolt, etc. in my opinion are pretty foolish. Nice to have in certain circumstances, but generally not worth the cost.

However, if we were to find a Wand of MM, that would be mighty nice. Which reminds me, I HAVE A WAND OF MAGIC MISSILES CL3 DOH!!!!!

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Hmmm, if I ever get a Wizard to level 11, I will have to remember the Staff Like Wand discovery, greatly decreases the cost of wands.

Male Half-Orc Slayer (Vanguard)/14 | AC 21 T 13 F 19 | HP 130 | F +13* R +13 W +8* | Init +11 | Perc +23*

You do have to burn two feats for it (one for Craft Staff and one for the discovery) but if you want to use a lot of wands it might be worth it.

Male Human Bard 4

Why do I sometimes think Telias wants to kill me? ;)

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

I think his character is based on the Unibomber, he wants to kill everyone.

Male Human Bard 4

So do ya think we can get to level 4? That would be cool :)

Only a couple XPs left I think.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Level 4 - yikes, that would mean that you and I could cast 2nd level spells, that is scary.

Init 8, HP 56/56, Speed 30 AC 20, Touch 13, Flat-footed 18, CMD 19, Fort 6, Ref 10, Will 7

Worse. Telias can turn into a smelly wet dog.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

I figured Telias would turn into one of those hairless cats.

Init 8, HP 56/56, Speed 30 AC 20, Touch 13, Flat-footed 18, CMD 19, Fort 6, Ref 10, Will 7

No, ultimately I think Telias has more in common with honey badgers than anything.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

I think that I found a new job for Telias:

Raul(Telias)'s Wild Kingdom

Yeah you aren't too far off. I've calculated the xp so far and you're only 1534 xp each off. Afterall, The Stag Lord was 9th level :p though lower due to the drink putting negatives and like ganit he was a mix of rogue and ranger levels :p.

But he died drunk and alone with a dead stag on his head, that sounds like Ganit.

Also while fighting a large earth elemental in open combat... Not exactly the smartest place for an archer to be.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

It is better than fighting a Great Wyrm Red Dragon in any combat.
