No, the Chocolate Factory on the Tropical Island is a "capstone feat". You need to reach 20th level Publisher for that one.

The mere "Improved version" of the Chocolate Factory feat means the factory in located in downtown Detroit. It's cheap to lease and there was lots of government grant money to defray construction costs. Plus, it has the "feature" of granting more "street-level combat encounters" near your factory. :)

Paizo got the Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Twilight licenses. But not for games, for freeze-dried, shipping-safe, just-add-water kittens.

The kitten subscription will ship one of the specially licensed breeds to your house every other month. The first four will be Tribble Cat™, Sith Cat™, Quidditch Cat™, and Edward Catlen™. The subscription will of course include PDFs; these PDFs will be of special cat macros featuring the breed that ships that month. Edward Catlen™ IZ WATCHIN U SLEEP!

That doesn't preclude the premise being accurate, of course. As I understand it, you've got one regeneration left, disregarding recently revealed and unresolved issues. There's still theoretically a face none of us realizes is yours.

Just saying.

Sadly, on-topic I refuse to play. "Big announcements" fall into too wide a spectrum because of who them might be "big" to. Paizo could announce a new line of licensed coffee mugs and mouse pads which some would consider big but not I. Or you could announce you're opening a Canadian warehouse for shipping purposes which would be big for me but insignificant to a whole lot of other people. Point is... I won't play because "big" is subjective.

Oh, and Paizo is announcing a new book, Ultimate Cheesecake, to be released on or about my birthday later this year. 256 glorious full-colour depictions of fantasy babes and I suppose dudes. It introduces a new mechanic, the TL or Titillation Level and offers material spanning from a measly TL1 standard chainmail bikini up to TL20 which is errr, ummm... yummy. A small section reveals working hypnosis mechanics which can be used to convince one's significant other to dress as the pictured examples. (Written by SKR who is finally revealing how he got his wife to depict Ameri.) Containing something for everyone, while Ultimate Cheesecake focuses primarily on humanoid (human) art, it does deviate into elves, half-elves, dwarves, halflings, select fey, goblins and one rather disturbingly tentacle-endowed aberration. Note: the scantily clad individual on page 183 is actually a living human in make-up, not an undead vampire, so those necrophiliacs in the crowd can just bite me.

But I refuse to play.

But, in a surprise move, 100% of the book's content gets cut in a last-minute editing pass, replaced with 256 glorious, full-color depictions of actual cheesecake and the corresponding recipes.

Those rumors are unfounded and in no way connected to the cargo ship full of laboratory equipment that disappeared in the Caribbean a week ago.

It actually IS the island of Dr. Moreau - but who can blame her - it was listed real cheap, due to a lack of interested buyers, she bought it for a bargain! What could possibly go wrong with that?

Contrary to public announcements, NASA has sold the entire retired shuttle fleet to Paizo. This fleet will be housed at Boeing Field.

As part of the agreement, additional sections will be added to the International Space Station, and will expand as needed, to house PaizoCon for the next 20 years. Fuel for operating the fleet, as well as a massive supply of booster rockets, for the duration was also included, so this change of venue will not affect ticket prices for the event in any way.

There's also a possibility that one of the biggest announcements may actually happen just *prior* to Gen Con; we're still nailing things down.

I suspect Vic was referring to this miniatures press release.

It also mentions a 60 figure Rise of the Runelords miniatures set to be released in June. Predictions of a hardcover 5th anniversary edition have now moved out of the groundless category.

I'm going to go with all-but-confirmed, at this point.

I can't see them releasing their largest minis set to date for an adventure path that is no longer in print.

Everyone who went to Erik Mona's "What's in store for Paizo next?" presentation this RopeCon has no need for groundless speculation. They already know(not spoiling, sorry) what's in store and it's freaking cool.

Well then both of my guess have been confirmed already. :)

I heard that as long as you provide a printed copy of Exhibit "A" and James Jacobs is GM'ing for you, you can have a Halfling Cavalier mounted on a Stegosaurus. ;)

Breaking the button tradition, this year's giveaway for dropping by the Paizo booth will be a free d6 with the Harrow suits instead of pips or numbers.

If this one is actually correct, please save one for me.

I heard it was actually an announcement about 6th edition, to further distance is from all of the 4th edition high tempers on both sides.

That could be funky. Somewhere, east of Qadira, in the Warring Lands, there's a battle that's been going on for decades...

I've heard that Paizo/Wham-O is going to hire Merle Rasmussen to design an espionage mini-game based on Taldan spies. It will be called "Fop Secret".

They will be releasing a serial series inspired by The Gamers, staring the cast of Dr. Horrible and Wil Wheaton

Mythic Rules in early 2013. Massive public playtest during the Summer of 2012.

....and....

Irrisen based AP is the next AP after Jade Regent.

Spoiler:
And what's gonna piss you off is whether this is a joke post or not. :)

I mean there will continue to be Chronicle Products, most definitely. And definitely a monthly AP. But is there enough existing campaign material that some of that production can be diverted to a Mythic rule set? ::shrug::

And where exactly do we go after the ARG? Yes, yearly Bestiaries, but what else fills that niche?

Hhehehehe.. and you were expecting some exploding gag, right? Nothing makes Marketing grit their teeth like semi-quasi-plausible rumors.

Oops, I misspoke, I meant after Skull and Bones.

(I'm so used to Jade Regent being the 'next' AP ;-) )

Justin, I'm just playin'. But if you think about it, if they start an Irrisen AP next Gencon, and Elvanna gets replaced in the final chapter, then at the very start of January 2013 we have a new Queen.

Or not.

EDIT: You're probably right, but it's a topic I love to promote. Plus the longer it is pushed back, the greater the possibility of a crossover product with something like.. a mythic ruleset? Something that would enable you to play past the traditional six chapter series.

Oh, I am looking forward to it, and I think it would be fun to see at GenCon 2012, but I suspect it will be GenCon 2013 with it wrapping up in January 2014.

Contributor, RPG Superstar 2010 Top 4

@ Justin Franklin,

You were right about Irrisen ;)

But let's riddle this over a little bit folks...

Paizo has said that they're going to release (3) Hardcovers a year.

And we know what they are....

1.) ARG
2.) Bestiary 3
3.) Rise of the Runelords Hardback (revised)

But the big announcement is on Saturday (per Vic Wertz). And it's not the miniatures.

So what is it?

I'm still betting on Mythic System. With a 2013 Hardcover release, and a public playtest next year.

It could be an Tia Xian Hardcover, but somehow.. I don't think so.
