There is a feat in UC called Dimensional Agility that has the following text:
After using abundant step or casting dimension
door, you can take any actions you still have remaining
on your turn. You also gain a +4 bonus on Concentration
checks when casting teleportation spells.

If it has such a feat, then it's yet another error. Abundant Step is a move action by RAW. As such, it already allows actions to be made after the move action.
This has been clarified before. Even if its a move action, your still effectively acting as though you've cast dimension door and you may take no further actions as per the spell.
The benefit of it being a move action is that you can attack or do something with your standard action first.

incorrect
Abundant step
At 12th level or higher, a monk can slip magically between spaces, as if using the spell dimension door.
Dimension Door
You instantly transfer yourself from your current location to any other spot within range. You always arrive at exactly the spot desired - whether by simply visualizing the area or by stating direction. After using this spell, you can't take any other actions until your next turn.

I can't believe it otherwise, it makes no sense. The Monk-isn't- casting a spell. To slap additional rules onto this move action and add a complication to move actions because of something the character isn't doing .. it's nonsensical.

This is now the official ruling, which is fine because you can take the feat for the outcome, which is all I wanted in the first place.
Monk is now officially the mage killer.

I missed the last sentence of the dimn door spell and was thinking only of the Abundant Step passage, "Using this ability is a move action that consumes 2 points from his ki pool."

The ability works like dimension door so you have to reference dimension door.
Dimension door states that you can take no actions after it is used.
You instantly transfer yourself from your current location to any other spot within range. You always arrive at exactly the spot desired—whether by simply visualizing the area or by stating direction. After using this spell, you can't take any other actions until your next turn.
The only exception to the spell that abundant step gives are that it is a move action, and that you can't take anyone with you. These are bolded below.
Abundant Step (Su): At 12th level or higher, a monk can slip magically between spaces, as if using the spell dimension door. Using this ability is a move action that consumes 2 points from his ki pool. His caster level for this effect is equal to his monk level. He cannot take other creatures with him when he uses this ability.
That is the RAW and RAI.
That feat that was listed by the OP is just more proof.

Yeah, I'm a subscriber and still don't have my PDF! I call shenanigans!
