Oh! Alaric would like to buy a case of liquor. 25 GP bottles a piece, for use as Divination fuel. A case is 20 bottles, right?

He'd also like to get his hands on some silver dust. Not for snorting purposes, although maybe re-enacting that scene from Scarface could be fun for everyone, but for spell components.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Mel's Shopping list:
+1 composite longbow (STR 12) ~ 2,500 gp
baby stuff ~ recommendations welcome

... and other stuff that Mel really doesn't want an entourage for ...

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Oh! Mel will chip in 1,000 towards new armor for Ameiko.

Kyrademon:
Any chance for seafood in this city?

Melinda:
The composite longbow would be available.

So would seafood, thanks to the wonders of low-level magic, but it is pricier than it would be in a city nearer to a body of water that has fish in it.

Magic Stuff Cost/Availability:
If I have correctly understood how Upgrading a magic object works, I don't think Rhost has quite enough money to buy the things he wants (if all are available).

Looking for: add "Furious" quality to +1 Flaming Earth Breaker. +1 mithral breastplate. Belt of +2 Str and Con.

So I am querying on the cost/availability here.

...also, at the very end of the day, Rhost is looking for somewhere to buy a bucket of horse's blood.

Crafting:
...because he plans on finishing off that last little bit of kontra l-żiemel with a final quench in a bucket of horse's blood. So obviously it has to be purchased at the end of the day and then used soon after, before it congeals.

Rhost:
Adding the "furious" quality to the Earthbreaker: Will cost 10,000 gold, and will take several days to be ready during which time you will not have it available.

+1 Mithral Breastplate: 5,200 gold, immediately available.

Belt of physical might +2 (Str and Con): 10,000 gp, will take several days to be available.

As a reminder, items you own and do not use or will no longer use (e.g. Masterwork Breastplate, Masterwork Chain Shirt, Hide) can be sold for half the price they cost to buy new. If you plan to do any of that, let me know if you need pricing on it.

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

Kalimac is looking for a suit of +1 Mithral Lamellar Armor (as Kyrademon called it: "the mithralized version of the "steel" lamellar type") - 5,150 gp. He'll take a suit of un-enchanted Mithral Lamellar Armor if no +1 suit is available.

If he can get it engraved with his motto, all the better.

He is also going to contribute a grand towards the Keep Ameiko Alive fund.

Rhost Mab-i-gof wrote:

Particularly easy to obtain in this part of the world. Call it 0.1 gold.

Kalimac:
The +1 mithral suit of armor would be immediately available, and they would throw in the engraving free.

LOOT DIVISION POST

Masterwork composite shortbow, any strength rating, any size (187.5 gp plus 37.5 gp per point of strength rating)

Efficient Quiver (900 gp)

Ten +1 arrows, any size (230.3 gp)

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

Kyrademon wrote:

Awesome. Sold to the hobbit with the beautiful bard on his arm.

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

No claims.

Liothonae:
In light of our recent conversation, I just wanted to let you know that there are some NPC scenes I had been planning to start as soon as Liothonae goes out into the city, but I didn't want to jump the gun and begin them before I knew where you had planned for her to go/what you'd planned for her to do. I know some of your older scenes are closing up, so I just wanted to reassure you that new ones will be starting very soon.

Female Elven Urban Druid 9, Brightness Seeker 1

No claims. Though maybe the arrows should go to Myri?

Male Half-elf Barbarian

GM:
If my math is good, that's 300 gp for selling the Masterwork Breastplate and Masterwork Chain Shirt.

Rhost is willing to leave the magical Earth Breaker for the work to be done. This is why he has a second Earth Breaker, after all.

This does take Rhost out of the "donate a chunk of money toward Ameiko's armor" group except in cases involving very small values of "chunk."

Thank you, but "no claims"

was informed that magic arrows and magic bow does not stack.

Male Human Cleric 10

No claims.

GM:
I'll go ahead and buy the bowstring as well as a 100 GP bottle for Sandru. Will the shower take place this level? I'm trying to determine when to give the gift.

Rhost:
Your math is correct.

Alaric:
The shower should take place this level.

Kyrademon:
wanted to let you know that i am planning to invest several thousand gold at least, in the caravan venture to get money for the former slaves. Lio would check with Sandru for his permission, if i can use the name of the caravan while dealing with traders. i will post more tomorrow, when i'm not so tired ,on this subject.

Liothonae:
Sandru would certainly give his permission for that.

Melinda:
Only just saw your messages, chat has been being weird something; Zaiobe does not have an efficient quiver.

I would also like to invest in a Ring of Protection +1

(A sound investment that often pays significant returns in the form of not-being-killed dividends.)

Also, this would be available.

Well, she's about 18 in quarter-orc years.

Much less depressing, I am sure.

Kyrademon:
shopping list will come tomorrow. but there will certainly be exotic spices on it, perhaps some very finely crafted silk rope and naughty things, though that would have to be role-played with Shae ;) if such things are even available in a town like this. start to look for a Birthday present for Shae.

other things i plan on getting started, but i don't want to overwhelm you with posts, so i'll mention it here first... and i'm probably overthinking things... but... eh...

clothes shopping for Shae and Lio's date, since they're in a big enough town now to have a proper date and... spanking naughtyness after. Maybe Lio can arrange to meet with Zaiobe at some point, and Shae and Ameiko can go off shopping, and Lio and Zaiobe can do the same. As Lio was going to ask Zaiobe to help her shop for something for Shae to wear, and Shae was going with Ameiko. As a heads up, I believe I purchased a corset in the last town we were in (for Shae, but she hasn't seen it yet). It's one of the posts for a while back, but I'm not sure if I put it on my sheet yet. I'll need to really go though my money/shopping sheet to fix that stuff. At least my claimed items are correct. ;)

baby things shopping, and finding out from Rhost what Lio needs to give him for making a fantastic wedding cake and other food, so she can start setting money aside. also, she will consult with Zaiobe on decorations and that sort of cost. and the price of Lio's Bridesmaid & two Bridesmen's outfits. setting up the trading thing for Jorun.

Do we have a flower girl for the wedding? what kind of ceremony are you envisioning? I don't want to overkill on details, but Lio will ask Shae exactly what she imagines, because Lio wants Shae to get the exact wedding she's always dreamed of. Picking out rings... will need to do that with Shae, too. Will be get to any other large towns or cities before the wedding? - Lio's question for Ulf, I suppose... to see if need to get rings here, or if it can wait. I am assuming Lio is going to pay for everything except her own ring. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am also willing to contribute a couple of thousand gold for the saving Ameiko fund. I will give an exact number tomorrow once the rest of the funds are straightend out. But with the last loot post, I know I have at least 10k gold available, so i think i can give Ameiko 2k gold, and still invest 2k gold for Jorun. I would like an idea of what I need to spend on the wedding, but that's in character, i suppose, since I want Shae to have the perfect ring :) Luckily I have all the magic items I really want, right now... So maybe she'll want a magic ring? i also have some very expensive diamonds that i claimed for myself... so if Shae finds a perfect setting, or a magic ring that can have a diamond added to it, and if she wants a diamond ring... she can have one ;) i believe jewlers will insert your own stones into their merchandise for a small fee... and then she'll have a memento of our adventuring... and this diamond is from the time we killed the menace that was ::insert bad guy name here:: and then we can get all lovey dovey and make up stories of how heroic we were.

Rhost:
wanted to give you a heads up, so you can think about it, Lio will ask you about how much money she should set aside for supplies for the wedding cake and food for the wedding, and your services for doing the cooking and baking.

Kyrademon:
Really not sure what the layout of the palace is, but is any part of the outside city within 800-ft of where our rooms are?

A bit more explanation of how the entertainment for the feast days is going to work under the rules, since there is some confusion:

1) You can only make one skill check each night; if you have, say, both Sleight of Hand and Perform Act, you need to pick just one roll to make.

2) Only the skill checks listed for each night count towards a good performance. Anything else, even if it makes perfect sense, will not work. (I don't make the rules.)

3) Participating means making such a skill check. Even if you do all sorts of other things to help out, be it casting spells or spending 3,000 gp on costumes for everyone, you are not counted as participating unless you make a skill check.

4) If the skill can be used untrained (such as any Perform skill), you can attempt the check - including attempts to assist - even if you have no ranks in the skill.

5) An attempt to assist can only be made using the same skill check; a Perform (Dance) check can never be used to assist a Perform (Act) check.

6) However, I have decided to be very loose about what skill checks made to assist mean in this circumstance, which is why I said it "included preparation". This means that a Perform (Act) check to assist could mean that you helped people with costumes and make-up beforehand, not necessarily that you are also up onstage.

7) On the night when you are creating the entertainment, it still must be one of the skill checks listed. If you are presenting a dazzling display of swordsmanship while casting spells and dodging live crocodile attacks, there is no point to making attack rolls, saving throws, extra skill checks, or anything else. That'd be something like an Acrobatics roll or a Perform (Act) roll.

8) Food prep on the night when you are going to be involved with that will be handled separately from the entertainment checks. You would be able to participate in both, and helping with the food prep does not count as participating in the entertainment.

Kyrademon wrote:
5) An attempt to assist can only be made using the same skill check; a Perform (Dance) check can never be used to assist a Perform (Act) check.

(An exception may have been made to this for aid in certain Caravan jobs that use different skills to achieve the same effect, the check being considered to be from the "Caravan job" rather than the skill, but such an exception will not be made in this case.)

Melinda:
I have rolled randomly. The answer is yes, but you will need to take the time to explore the Palace for long enough that you reduce the Knowledge (Architecture and Engineering) roll to DC 10 or less to figure this out, or consult with another PC who is capable of making a higher roll on that skill.

Liothonae:
liothonae cromvathar wrote:

Reta and Spivey were suggested, but neither has been consulted about it yet.

liothonae cromvathar wrote:

This can be asked IC, but Shalelu has implied something fairly simple.

liothonae cromvathar wrote:

You can ask IC, but Ulf hasn't mentioned any.

liothonae cromvathar wrote:

This is certainly possible; what's your price limit on it? There's some interesting possibilities, whether you and Shae plan the purchases together or get them separately.

liothonae cromvathar wrote:

Yes, this is certainly doable.

Liothonae 2:
Also, I know you said you had all the magic items you needed, but I will point out that you probably have enough to, say, increase your hit points by 10 as well as get Shalelu a perfectly nice magic ring.

Although admittedly "even death is merely a threshold to another existence rather than something to be feared" to a Brightness Seeker. ;)

Myriana:
Haven't looked over the lists for "fun ranger stuff" yet, but some basic ideas from looking at your character sheet ...

Your armor class is quite low. Getting better armor and/or a ring of protection could be wise.

You could blow a big chunk of your cash on adding another quality to your bow, such as, say, Corrosive. It would be 10,000 gp, but it would increase your damage output significantly.

A magic belt to get your Dex up a bit is always good for an archer.

I'll look for more odd and cool stuff when I have a chance.

Myriana:
In case you have not been keeping track, Desnus 1, which is Shalelu's birthday and also the fourth of the five feasts (the Feast of the Honored Visitors), is the night of the next dark of the moon.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

DM:
OK, here's what I'm definitely getting:

- Headband of Cha +2, 4 kgp
- Belt of Str and Con +2, 10 kgp
- Cloak of Resistance +2, 4 kgp
- Wand of CLW, full, 750 gp
- Contribution to Ameiko's armor, 1 kgp

Money left: 3886.8 gp

Things I'm hoping to buy, depending on availability:

- Partial wand of Lesser Restoration (10–20 shots, ideally made by a Paladin for cheapness)
- Partial wand of Mirror Image (~10 shots ideally)
- Partial wand of Lightning Bolt (can only afford <10 shots)

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Kyrademon:
Shopping
+1 composite longbow (12 STR) ~ 2,500 gp (*I think Alaric is covering 1,000 gp of that)

hanging crib (25 gp) i'm thinking?
carrying sling (5 gp)
blankets (7x .5 gp = 3.5 gp)
various diapers and baby clothes (10 gp)

1,000 gp to Ameiko armor fund

TOTAL = 2,543.5 gp

Kalimac:
I very nearly took a rank in Perform: Oratory this level. At this rate, I will do so next level, and we can become a comedic duo. Dibs on the straight man role.

One is available with 11 charges, but not on made by a Paladin. Note also that it will still have a three round casting time.
