So ... I'm guessing what turns out to be Easter/Passover weekend was not the best time for the restart?

The devil you say!

Male Human Cleric 10

I like how only Kalimac is concerned that Myri is requesting rufies.

Human Ranger

lmao. & now, Myri's true character is revealed! who will be next? ;)

Human Ranger

Lio:

btw, did Lio want to give Sandru his present before the Forest of Spirits?
Should it NOT be done during the joint bridal shower thing (assuming the whole caravan is invited) because it may detract from the two people being honored?
other thoughts?

So ... I'm terribly sorry, but my second emergency backup netbook, which I have been using for a while now, died tonight. I have spent most of the night trying to get my emergency backup laptop, which died several months ago, in vaguely working condition. It seems to be usable for the moment (fingers crossed), but it's 4:15 AM and I am frankly exhausted.

I'm sorry the restart of the game is starting off so slowly. It's ... kind of been a week.

Yeah, yeah, I know, but some of us used to have day jobs that we were using as excuses for our somewhat spotty output.

Hey, I still use that excuse.

I would like to once again thank all of you for putting up with the stoppage and then extreme slowdown of game while I dealt or continue to deal with burnout, lengthy travel, sudden job loss, massive computer problems, money worries, starting to write a new novel, beginning rehearsals of a new production, and getting my income tax return together. The last of which is what I will be doing tonight starting around 2:30 AM or so.

Y'all are the bestest players ever. Thanks for bring so understanding.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

:)

We just miss you!

Human Ranger

& best wishes and a lot of luck.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

This is only a test of the broadcast system. Do not be alarmed.

Apparently Kyrademon's browser is being a temperamental biddy and not letting him post. He said he'll work on *that* problem tomorrow and hopefully be able to post then.

Test. Test.

If this goes up, apparently I can post again.

I'll do some posts tonight, but at this point I feel I should ask ... this must be frustrating for everyone. Should we make the hiatus longer and wait to resume game until my life gets back under control, or would people prefer to keep going, but at a much slower pace for a while?

Female Elven Urban Druid 9, Brightness Seeker 1

Slow is fine. I like the idea of some story progressing :) but if it's too crazy for you, no worries. Whatever is best for you.

Male Human Cleric 10

I have mixed feelings and will go with the majority on this one.

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

I'm also of mixed feelings. But I do like being able to just not look at the paizo site when I know there's nothing going on. When it's slow and sporadic I start hitting the reload button like I'm at the nickle slots at the Indian casino.

So put me down for a *slight* preference for hiatus till Kyra is in control. But only a slight one.

Human Ranger

At this time, I agree with Lio.

Well. If I were posting once daily, as I'd hoped to at the start of this, I probably wouldn't be having a serious debate with myself about putting the game (or at least GM posts) back on hiatus or not.

But ... last night, in the one window of time I had to post, Paizo was down. Tonight, it's already after 1:30 AM and I have a sore throat and I'm exhausted and I'm just not up to it. And that's pretty typical these days. And you guys never knowing if there's going to be a GM post or not on a given day seems unreasonable.

The main reason I've been pushing forward at this point is the fear that if the game stops, it won't restart even when I have time and a life etc. again. That may be a little silly ... I've been in plenty of tabletop games that broke for vacation or the holiday season or a show or whatnot and resumed later with no difficulty.

So, I haven't made a final decision yet, but I'm leaning towards going back on break until such time as life stops beating the GM with a big stick.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Count me as on board for when life doesn't hate you so much.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

Sounds like you really need a break. Take it. It's not like we'd feel good about playing if we knew you were paying for it with your health.

Don't worry about the game. We didn't travel that far just to strand in the forest somewhere.

Kyrademon wrote:

If life is so good with a big stick, it probably has a weak Will save.

Unless life is a monk. DEEP!

OK, I'm thinking it's pretty much time to admit that I cannot do this right now, and put the game back on GM Post Hiatus. I want to run the game right when I run it, and not this half-assed maybe-I'll-post-and-maybe-I-won't-but-I'm-certainly-not-up-to-any-difficult -scenes thing.

Game WILL resume, and I will not leave you all stranded in a forest, but ... at the moment, the Monk Of Life Threateneth me with Palms A-Quiver, and this is one of the things I need to put off until that stops.

Male Human Cleric 10

I was originally going to wait until the game was over to post this, and since it certainly appears to be, I invite everyone to look up "fungdark" on the urban dictionary. Preferably not at work, though.

Male Tiefling (Devil Blood) Magus 1 (Blackblade Kensai)

I thought you would start this one up again. You all made it so far. Kyrademon was such a great GM.

Thank you.

I would still like to keep going with this, but in addition to reduced time I am having connectivity problems with Paizo that would make GMing extremely difficult. I don't know why, and hope it is resolved at some point ...
