I didn't have any weapons, so it made sense to make Rhost and Hrunndalf frighteningly effective. :)

I now have hard copies of all six modules.
Having glanced through the remaining ones, I apologize for not making the now obvious-in-retrospect realization that the "overarching villain" of the entire AP was supposed to have been Koya all along.
I will try to make her murderous attacks on you more frequent than they have been.

If all goes well I will have internet that isn't my phone, after work today. I know we r heading out of the town, but there are several things I'd like to resolve in flex time. Jorun's money thing (I'm OK with glossing over some of the details since setting up financial transactions doesn't actually sound like fun to me), buying some things, wedding ring shopping, celebrating Shaes birthday with her after the feast, and giving Reta a birthday present are amongst them.
Kyrademon |
Had one suggestion for a possible non-ring "wedding ring"; you might remember the magic item Lilith got your character in Age of Worms - the Bracelet of Friends. While it looks too expensive, a bracelet with one charm remaining is 1/4 of the list price, so for 4,750 gp, you give Shalelu an item which lets her summon you to her side once from anywhere, so long as you are on the same plane of existence.
I'd also like to discuss what she might be getting you, as she was thinking of a magic ring (low-end being all she could possibly afford), and I wanted to check to make sure she would be getting you something you wanted, either IC or OOC.

I'm taking my hubby out for breakfast, I'll do the next step of that when I get back, unless you want to. I was planning on posting publicly that Mel goes around to Koya, Shae, and Ameiko's room to invite them to breakfast for Reta's birthday.
Then Mel was going to drop off all of Reta's wrapped presents in the family wagon, since the stables seemed like a better place for her to get to use her new presents that the palace rooms.
As for breakfast, Mel would be planning on a place that serves stuff that Reta has seemed to like for breakfast. I don't have a clue what that is ooc, so would love suggestions.

So, two quick issues as we move on -
I) You should be back on the road soon, so I'd like to get the Caravan sheet finalized. Everything was set except for the new distribution of supply spaces. Looking over votes, sales, etc., you should be putting it at:
2 remaining units of Trade goods
8 units of Repair Materials (reduced down from 9)
The remaining "open" spaces should be stores. All stores beyond 1 will need to be purchased, so please take whatever amount that is off the Caravan fund (I think 3 will need to be purchased, but I admit that's a hazy guesstimate.)
I assume that if you end up taking extra people with you (possibilities that have been raised, whether likely or not, include Miyaro, Chao, Enqbatu, and Enqbatu's wife), it will be fairly easy enough to adjust scouts & food spells, as there was still a bit of play in that.
II) Just because of the situation here, I'm not ruling it a given ... is anyone going to loot the bodies of the dead and/or captured ninjas?

LOOT DISTRIBUTION POST
So, this one calls for a bit of an explanation. It was pointed out to me that somehow, the loot from this post never actually got distributed. I'm therefore going to throw it on to this one and treat it as if claims were never made for it (Kalimac was the only one who placed a claim last time, on some uncut diamonds; Kalimac, if you still want them, feel free to do so again.)
Claimable Items:
Air Elemental Gem - summons a large Air Elemental one time as a standard action (1125 gp)
8 masterwork chain shirts (1000 gp)
8 masterwork katanas (1400 gp)
96 shuriken (9.6 gp)
Claimable Items OR Party Items if appropriately claimed as such:
34 uncut diamonds (6800 gp)

Wagon Storage:
Treasure: 2
Alchemy Lab: 1
Various Supplies: 3 includes the astrolabe, dog-sled, map-maker's kit, etc
Cold Weather gear: 1
Wagon Reinforcements: 7
Campsite Traps: 2
Ballista x2: 8
Trade goods x2: 2
Stores x4: 4
Repair Materials x8: 8
Bag of Holding: -2
TOTAL: 36
Which means we need to buy 3 stores for 15 gp, which I will update on the running total. Which gives the caravan fund 283.8 gp

No claims.
I'm not intensely planning on going this route, but it is an option. And the board isn't letting me post a simple "No claims." either, so I thought I might as well ask.

Bear in mind that adding a "+1" to armor or a weapon, or increasing it from "+1 to +2" and so forth, does not require any spells, just (in this case) a minimum number of ranks in the Craft skill depending on what you are doing.
So you could, say, take Kalimac's +1 Lance and make it a +3 Lance if you max out how many skill points you've put into crafting (that actually requires a minimum of 9 points in the skill), but you could not make it a +2 Corrosive lance because you do not have the Acid Arrow spell.

As things are currently trending (although this could, of course, change if people weigh in as preferring something else), Enqbatu and Miyaro may be accompanying the Caravan for some unknown period of time, with Enqbatu's family staying in town and Chao being let go outside of it.
Both Enqbatu and Miyaro can serve as Guards (or passengers.)
The GM suggests that the least disruptive way to work them into the current Caravan structure is:
Put Enqbatu and Miyaro as guards. Switch Zaiobe over to being an entertainer.
Switch Buttersnips over from Security Scout to Food Scout (Consumption then maintained at 0).
Enqbatu in the Men's Wagon. Miyaro in the Family Wagon.
Feel free to discuss.

Even just running an immersive campaign for 7 people strewn about the world straight off a module sounds daunting enough -- can't imagine how much work it must be if you need to rework most of it on top of that. :\
Yep, get some rest and concentrate on making those Fort saves. :P
(Still hope you'll be fit enough for a Kingmaker session though!)

Mel smiles, Ameiko's lecture about 'ask' vs 'guess' cultures repeating itself in her head. However, if Miyaro wants to respond to something as apparently gauche as direct questions, she is all ears.
Yeah, about that... I'm hoping there's something like a gaijin licence in place in Minkai, where everybody just expects foreigners to act impossibly out of line to a degree where it's no longer taken as offensive. Otherwise I might just have to take an oath of silence for the remainder of the adventure path. :P
Luckily, and in stark contrast with her compatriots, Miyaro has demonstrated what can only be described as sass, so I'm not so worried in that particular case.

Hi. Haven't seen you post in a while. Hope you're doing ok. Are you super busy, or would you have time for interacting in a scene this week? :)
Hi. I'm fine. It's just been busy. While I would never wish an illness on someone, Kyrademon's hell flu and the slowdown in posts came at a particularly good time for me. I've been able to feel a little less guilty for not posting since things were crawling.
I should have time for interaction, if you're wanting to be starting some.
