PBP Crypt of the Everflame game

Gamer Connection

1 to 50 of 96 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | next > last >>

I'm looking for 4-6 players who want to play Crypt of the Everflame and possibly the rest of the story arc(Masks of the Living Gods and City of Golden Death) depending on how Crypt goes.

Currently all 4-6 slots are open so there is a pretty good chance players can get in on this. I'm looking for players that can post and interact with each other at least once a day. I will do my best to post once a day as well(see note at the bottom of this post.)

Character Creation:
I am going to be generous and let you do 2d6+6 for stats, roll two sets and take your favorate.
Allowable sources are: Core, APG, Inner Sea World Guide, and UM. Sorry but I'm not allowing UC at this time, if we continue onto Masks I might allow it then.
Max HP at first level
Average starting gold
I'll allow the playable races out of the bestiaries.
Two traits

Any questions please post them here and lets get the applications started. To apply post either a stat block or an alias with character information as well as your time zone. Applications will be accepted until Saturday morning(7/23) and I will have my party selected by Saturday Afternoon with the game kicking off Sunday morning or Monday. I should mention that I'm in the CST time zone(GMT-6).

NOTE: I might be getting a job(interview Tuesday) so I will be doing most of my posting at night. I'm also taking two graduate level classes that tend to keep me busy so I ask for your patience if I don't post daily, but I'll do my best.

Sovereign Court

If you will allow me to join another hehe; Not sure what to make but I'm intrested. I'm eastern time zone, and you know I keep up with posting hehe.

Roll set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11

Roll set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14

And YAY im first applicant haha!

Why am I not surprised to see you here...lol. Haven't you learned your lesson yet? This is pretty much open so you have a good chance of making it in.

Could be interesting...I think I'll roll up some stats in case I can come up with a halfway decent character concept.

Set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16

Set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12

Sovereign Court

MWWUAHAHAHAHAHA! I'M A SLOW LEARNER!! Thought I should join another one of your game since every good group needs a one hit boss killer!

@Talomyr: Ah good some fresh blood...I was worried Roid would be the only one to bite...not that that would be a problem or anything ;).

@Roid: Yeah yeah yeah just try not to impregnate a nameless NPC this time...lol. I love how my mind works sometimes.

Sovereign Court

@Math-Yeah, your buddy Shanosuke says the same thing when I apply to his other ones hehe. At least she wasn't a plauge ridden ugly npc like Razz got haha!

@Talomyr- Math's a great DM does good job of NPC and PC interactions, as you can tell with our comments haha.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. Give me a bit and I'll get something together.

Set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13

Set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15

Edit:wrong avatar

yeah...I've heard stories about your character in Mormont's Gauntlet. I am playing in a rl game that he's running and my character just gained the service of a genie...

Anyway...more applications please...and I hope our random conversation isn't scaring anyone off, I swear all my games aren't this crazy.

Ah excellent another new person...*evil laugh*

Sovereign Court

......no were all sane............lol

Hmmmm. Should I apply for this one? If so, What should I put forth, and finally. How can I torment my DM?

Silence Moolish Fortal. I think Kesh was custom made for this module actually(this is the one with the torch). But build what you wish.

your right he was, but my thoughts keep shifting between various ideas I am having

Sovereign Court

Was wondering when Shanosuke would show up! hehe!

Lots of room for those ideas to bounce around in that head Shanosuke.

Hmm. Roidrage. not posting much on souls right now are you>?

Wait until we meet sunday Mathpro. I will show you a head full of room

I'm gonna make the rolls and decide from there

Rolls 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12

Rolls 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13

There we go

Blech I dont really agree with those rolls. No Kesh then

I've not done the setting before, and I am intrigued by it, so I will have a go myself:

Set 1:

Spoiler:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12

Set 2:

Spoiler:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17

No complaints, Shano - your rolls beat the pants off of mine! Even with 2d6+6, both sets are worse than 20 point buy.

Shako?

giving this a bit of a shameless bump.

Ok, I've got a couple of ideas bouncing around so I guess I should throw my hat in the ring. :)

Set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13

Set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14

I think I can work with those. Tough call on which set though :)

Hi - I'd like to throw in for a human alchemist for consideration:

Set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11

Set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17

Think I'd go with set 2 - i can stat him up in a bit at work. When I'm... working.

I'm going to go with the first set for Thibauld Fexil, Half-Orc Paladin (Sacred Servant) of Sarenrae.

I'll be posting the profile and stat block a bit later tonight.

Excellent my army of minions is growing...

Roll Set 1:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10

Roll Set 2:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12

I think I throw my hat in here as well.

set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11

set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11

Hmm which set to take? Difficult question ;-).

I think I will go for set 1.

So the list of applicants so far:

Roidrage
Talomyr
Kysterick
Shanosuke
Krek
Arknight-Half-orc Paladin?
Sir NotAppearingInThisFilm-Human Alchemist?
Paizo Fan
Koul

Excellent, now for my numbers to grow *evil laugh*

Sczarni

This looks like a lot of fun. And, of course, if Shanosuke is here, it must be worth while!

Set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12

Set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13

I will go with Set 1 and will post a concept in a few moments :)

You'd be surprised Dark...Shanosuke can make things pretty not worth while as well.

Speaking of Shanosuke, he said he's thinking of playing a dwarf fighter.

I'm going to be in class for the next 4 hours...yay managerial finance...so I won't be able to check up on stuff but I'm sure there won't be any problems. I'll probably check in in about 2 hours when we take our break.

Sczarni

Ok, I will play a Human/Halfling Oracle of Battle/Life. Whichever one is more valuable to the party and is most likely to get me into the game. :)

Basically, I will play the healing role in eith capacity, its just that one makes me a pro healer while the other lets me heal adequately while breaking face!

These are both good things.

Halfling Stats:

If I go halfling, my stats will look something like:
STR 18-2=16
DEX 14+2=16
CON 14+0=14
INT 12+0=12
WIS 11+0=11
CHA 14+2=16

Human Stats:

STR 18+0=18
DEX 14+0=14
CON 14+0=14
INT 12+0=12
WIS 11+0=11
CHA 14+2=16

There may be a few tweaks in there depending on whether I go Life or Battle but we'll see if I even get in first ok?

OK - this is Sir Notappearinginthisfilm's first attempt at an alchemist. Cambden is a man fascinated with learning, exploring the interconnectedness of all things, and blowing stuff up. Still need to work on background, and I copied/pasted from another character, so there might be some stray items i need to find and get rid of. Also need to finalize equipment and encumbrance.

I'm interested in the game - and in playing with the storied DM MathPro.

This is my first attempt at building a cleric, but I think it'd be fun to play. I created him with a 20-point buy and a fairly generic background, so I can adapt him to the game as needed.

Set 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12

Set 2:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18

Hmm...not sure which array to take. I'm intrigued by the 18, but there are more +1's in set 1. Any suggestions?

Paizo Employee Developer

Let's roll just to see if I get any ideas looking at a stat block.

Set 1:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16

Set 2:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14

Paizo Employee Developer

hm. Monkish? Not sure. I'll think on it.

Okay, I'm going to do either a Dwarven two weapon fighter, or a half-elf Ranger Guide. Which sounds more interesting Mathpro. Also, I know were friends so consider me equally among everyone else. Cool?

dotting, might not get a charcter up tonight but defiently interested.

Sovereign Court

I think I'll either go Tiefling Ranger (Trapper) that will be overly paranoid of people finding out he's a tiefling until he gets the mark of the Ever Flame. So he has a lot in craft traps and such.

Or I have an Idea for a Half-elf Oracle that grew up as a farmer and is being hounded by his ancestor’s to become a hero. He will be cursed with haunted and use the mystery Ancestor.

What do you think sounds more appealing to you math? I will have the stats on them by tonight.

Should I make my Dwarf obsessed with finding out teiflings? If so, what would he do once he finds out?

A bit of a bully, but not willing to back up from a challenge, Balkri is eager to prove himself in the coming-of-age ceremony.

Shanosuke:
Great reading in your Mormont game. Going to try out that guide now?

EDIT: fixed link x2

We should be start as friends trying to change the other, I'm a good Tiefling trying to keep you on the right path, then you make a Evilish Aasimar trying to corrupt me. Its a reverse of the normal angel and devil. We could even have bets to see if which one can influence random people. The idea just hit me, let me know if you want in.

Interesting, I could play a dark tapestry Oracle with that in mind. Very interesting indeed. *Evil Grin* Eeeexcellent. Hehehahahahaha!!!

I will throw myself into this and hopefully get a character made up in the next couple of hours.

Stat block 1:

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12

Faelar Braegen

I am definitely going with Stat Block2. Just wondering if you would allow me to use a Troglodyte. The stats adjustments aren't in the Beastiary, but they are in the Players Handbook under "Reincarnate". Always wanted to use one, but never been able to.

I'd suggest playing with the first array, yes your giving up an 18 but your replacing it with a 16 and your other stats will generally be better.

I'm storied now am I? And who have you been hearing these stories from? If its Shano-you know he's full of crap right?(love you buddy)
