I have allowed one in my Carrion Crown AP, (a melee fighter with a heavy meatshield role to fill - and a experienced rplayer to manage it. This is a controlled test for me).

Sorry, I just see it being really abused in PFS. (Aside from all the modules/scenarios which need to retro-fitted).

I don't know for certain what the future holds, but I doubt we will see monstrous races available until at least after the release of the Advance Race Guide. And even then, I expect to see heavy restrictions on that book (tho they may be built into the book).

I really hope not. We have enough races as it is. Adding more monstrous races makes the Pathfinder parties walking freak shows.
