Simple Paizo has declared themselves their own country and started printing the 1$ Kitten.

Congratulations on getting rid of those horrible 1$ bills.

Is there more than one denomination of Kitten than the $1, and if there is do they brand the image of a different Paizo personality's face onto the kittens for each one?

Sovereign Court

So when will the Kitteh be valid for use in placing orders in the Paizo store.

If you develop an electronic currency, will they be KitCoins?

I don't even want to know what they do when they have to make change with one.

jessica: What sort of hot beverage? Mulled cider?
liz: Mulled wine
ashley: now i have an excuse to order punalu'u sweet bread
liz: You need an excuse?
jessica: if you've got pastry covered, I can definitely have wine mulling down here
liz: Hand pies of some sort, too, to leave the other hand for a drinking flagon
robot chris: do not make pies out of hands
christopher: Would those be finger food?
jessica: I'll get some apple brandy and borrow another crockpot so we can have alcoholic mulled cider and mulled wine

Peppermint Patties. Hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps, to taste. If you make the hot cocoa from scratch, with good-quality cocoa, they're really fantastic after skiing, sledding, etc.

I love hot spiced cider around the holidays. If you are sick, have a hot toddy. But add cloves. They'll fix your sore throat. (Clove tea works for that too, but the honey and the lemon and the booze in a hot toddy enhance it.)

Silver Crusade

Thankies for the responses, I'll have to try em :3

Hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick.

Cider is an apple drink, otherwise it isn't cider.

For instance, if you use the same techniques with pears you make perry.

Sovereign Court

My favourite 'cure' for a cold is a hot toddy

The only correct answer to that question is hot whiskey. Look up the "Your Favorite Booze" thread for the recipe.

Just curious Geraint: are you British? It is very common in Canada and the US to refer to unstrained apple juice as apple cider and fermented unstrained apple juice as hard apple cider. Cider can be made with pears (perry cider, not common in the Americas) and even peaches. At least over here.

Sovereign Court Contributor

Personally, I recommend hot port with cloves. Excellente.

Ah, interesting: yep, I'm Welsh.

In the UK, apple juice is sold as such (unstrained would be called 'cloudy apple juice').

Fermented apple juice is called 'cider'.

Cloudy/unstrained fermented apple juice is called 'scrumpy'.

Fermented pear juice is called 'perry'.

I have made the mistake of assuming that my cultural experience is the universal norm. Apologies.

No worries! Just kind of cool how different even people of the same language and general cultural background can differ on the little things. :)
