Dungeon Siege 3

Video Games

Has anyone picked this up? I enjoyed the first two for basic hack and slash RPGing, and thinking it might be a nice romp after having finished Dragon Age 2 off.

Thoughts?

If you liked dragon age 2 then I think you will like dungeon siege 3 :) I know I did.

I am playing DS3 now. I love it. You can't make your own character this time, but the 4 character they have look good. In solo mode, you get the others as partners, but only one at a time. As yet I have met 2 of the 3 others.

BTW this more than makes up for the disappointing DS2.

DS3 is good as far as romps go. Some of the bosses my friend and I fought have been vicious (stupid spider comes to mind). We learned that we needed hp and fast, as well as that sometimes the best strategy was to use one character as bait and let the other go to town. The ability to NOT be in melee swinging away was key, especially when the tank got his earth-wave power and Katarina learned how to shoot her guns like she had a tommy gun :) Lots of good clean fun.

Played the demo. Finished it thinking I rather go back and play the blood filled polygons from DS2. Play Torchlight for good hack'n'slashery.

I hated that spider. Died and resurrected 5 times.

Torchlight is OK until Diablo 3 comes out.

Torchlight was fun until the final boss battle. Ended up respawning at the start of the level surrounded by 20+ dragons. Die -> spawn -> dragons -> die -> spawn -> dragons -> ad infinitum.

I have no idea how anyone finished the main dungeon crawl. I played it straight. Managed to make it to the final level and found myself horribly underpowered. Why do they do that? How can one successfully navigate the 2nd last level only to be completely out-classed on the last one? Frustrating as hell.

Haven't touched it since.

Picked up 2 copies last night for DS3. I got it ag best Buy and got 2 games get 1 free so got Fable 3 free.

he got to play his copy mine for some odd reason kept telling me the registration code was invalid. We tried I don't know how many times and it would not take. So I dontacted STEAM.

I tried again this morning and funny thing... it loaded. So I get to try and play tonight. I know my BF was getting fustrated as he kept getting his Arse kicked... but then again he is not the gamer I am
