Too bad my first level character isn't smart enough to request healing before moving on.
Wander, did you get the 3 points Rajah channeled for up the page? It was during the conversation with Old Foofelah, but he was outside the hut and did make a point of asking everyone who was hurt to gather around, so Aago should have been involved.

I honestly don't recall. I went looking for just such a post before I made the one you referenced above but I somehow didn't see it.
What do you think, Navior? Does that sound like a channel that would have affected Aago? I know I haven't added it to his damage, his current hp is as low as he's gotten so far.

Channeling post in question:
As Gilfroy translates, Rajah can't help but smile at the last bit from the little old gnome. "Well, unless there is anything else we can possibly learn from her, I suggest we gather the others and continue on. Darkness waits for no one. You who are hurt, gather around and I can mend a bit of your wounds. I'll check with the others to see if they are in need of healing as well."
Channel Energy:(To anyone who needs it) 1d6
1/7 usedNot sure how bad off everyone is. Let me know if another is needed.

Thinking of Shalelu's disappointment if he has to tell her the elf didn't survive, he ignores the goblins for the moment, stoops down to grab Malan and tries to shove him out the door toward Melon and the gnome.
No! You fool! It's a perfect chance to eliminate a perceived rival for her affections while taking no blame! ;)

If Aago was a goblin! Alas, he's kinda good...

But what if Shalelu likes bad boys...? :)

I'm not sure what sort of action that would take, Navior. Since Malan is unconscious he can't resist Aago's grab so it shouldn't require a Combat Maneuver but I bet the goblin in the corner will get an AoO. Can Aago use his second action to try and toss Malan toward Gilfroy?1d20 In case you need a roll for anything.
Edit to add: Ha! A natural 20 ought to be worth something!
Well, it's a crit on the attack roll to hit Gilfroy. Now you just have to figure out what damage die a tossed elf does and double it.

I figure that ought to be at least a d6. Plus his strength modifier, we're looking at 2d6 + 6. Walthus should be okay after Rajah channels, unless both he and the elf go flying off the walkway and take another d6 of falling damage.
Ah well, collateral damage, whatcha going to do?
Wander Weir |
I don't know; I think elves might be crit x3 because of the pointy ears -- threat of putting an eye out and all that.
True. And then if the goblin decides to throw a torch out the door after them, there's always the possibility that both of them will go up in flames now that the gnome is covered with oily elf.

This is getting good. Let see what Navior says before Rajah does anything. You know, I figured Malan would survive this. I knew Aago would do something to help out. You had nothing to worry about Malan. Even as detrimental as that is for his character regarding Shalelu. :) (On a side note, I would also agree with Chiggo. Isn't it better to be brought down a few notches than to have your squishies...well...um...'squished'?) :)
I don't know; if he has sufficient squishie injuries, that ought to remove him as a romantic rival for Shalelu, as well.
Y'know, if he actually was a romantic rival in reality rather than in Aago's jealous mind. ;)

It also ruins the chance for us to learn just how high an octave his voice can reach. I'd have expected us to get a sneak preview if he'd started screaming after getting set on fire.

I thought withdrawing didn't allow an AOO. Does withdrawing over difficult terrain allow one?
Withdrawing only negates any AoOs from the square you start in. If you pass through any other threatened squares, you still attract an AoO. There was no way for Chiggo to get out without passing through additional threatened squares (especially since Chief Gutwad was not letting him pass).

"Hadn't we better go check on your pony?" she asks Gilfroy. "What with all the goblins we let run away and the front gate being the only way out of the village? They must have gone right by him, and he was out there all alone...."
I played with a DM back in university (this was in the 90's so we were using 2nd Edition at the time) who absolutely despised party animals of any kind. This included mounts, familiars, and animal companions. If you ever left an animal unattended, you could guarantee it would be gone or dead when you returned, and even if you didn't leave it unattended, he would do his best to make certain it died in any fights.
He was otherwise a decent DM, and his games were a lot of fun. But the animal thing was just weirdly over the top.

hairpin with a red pearl 150 gp
There was a fan as well, but it has the treasure map on it. Once we are done with it, I suggest we gift it to Ameiko or perhaps there's someone else who would like to suggest it.
If Sandru gives us a fair price for the hairpin, we have 219.9 gold. That divides to 36.65 gold each.

She winks at him.
What? No comment from Melon about Corinna and Malan's conversation, too?
"I don't know. I think Aago would make a very dangerous woman!"
Maybe Melon has an identical twin and that's how she's always in the middle of every conversation.
Also, Corinna and Malan are totally off consummating their love behind the spoilers just to mock Wander Weir for Lorenz's failure to get to first base with Sasha in Serpent's Skull.
And, as a last note, am I the only one disturbed by the image of Melon and her 8 Cha modeling a 'come hither' look?

Did you count the number of ale glasses Aago has on at the moment? Each one adds +2 Charisma to Melon ;)
Besides, other than force of presence/presentation, any real measure of attractiveness needs to account for the physical stats as well. Melon does fine in those.
I figure her come hither look is quite possibly the same look she has for her avatar.

Hey, just to let you all know, it's one of Gilfroy's campaign goals to "tap" all the female party members, as well as main NPCs.
You can all try competing with each other for Ameiko's affections, but it's all in vain. Girls like gnomes.
Three words: prestidigitation...at will.
Enough said.
