You can just make a version with reach and drop the disarm, trip part of it.

By the way the critical rate is 19-20x2

Dark Archive

I forgot got some new weapons to wrap it up for now in the weapons section of magic items and start armor/shields.

Weapons

Spoiler:

Gae Bolg (Cost: 68,302 gil)
A spear said to have been wielded by a child of the gods. Merely lifting it requires great strength. This +3 spear can causes living opponents to bleed by hitting them with. This attack causes the target to take 3 additional points of damage each round for each enhancement modifier. Bleeding creatures take that amount of damage every round at the start of each of their turns. The bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 Heal check or the application of any effect that heals hit point damage. Bleeding damage from this ability stacks a number of times equal to its enhancement bonus. Bleeding damage bypasses any damage reduction the creature might possess.

Holy Lance (Cost: 32,302 gil)
This sacred weapon shines a brilliant hue. This is a +2 holy spear.

Knightslayer (Cost: 18,350 gil)
This crossbow fires specially fashioned bolts that contain a doze of blinding poison. This +1 piercing heavy crossbow shoots an insidious poison that robs its victim of sight. It allows the wielder to use a blinded effect (Fortitude save DC 16), upon a creature struck by a bolt once per day. The wielder can decide to use the power after he has struck. Doing so is a free action, but the poison effect must be invoked in the same round that the bolt strikes. The Blinded lasts for a number of rounds equal to 1d4+1.

Ragnarok (Cost 50,335 gil)
This knight's sword is mentioned in tales about the end of the world. This +2 bastard sword provides spell resistance of 5 + character level to the knight that wields it.

Save the Queen (Cost: 32,335 gil)
A knight's sword given as a symbol of an oath of fealty. This +2 bastard sword grants it’s wielder a deflection equal to its enhancement bonus to AC.

Slasher (Cost: 18,330 gil)
This axe not only as impressive destructive power, but can also show the actions of its target. This +2 waraxe has the power to slow its target. It allows the wielder to use a Slow effect (Will save DC 16), upon a creature struck by the blade once per day. The wielder can decide to use the power after he has struck. Doing so is a free action, but the effect must be invoked in the same round that the waraxe strikes. The Slow effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to 1d4+1

Valhalla (Cost: 63,350 gil)
A tainted blade spoken of in legends about the end of the world, said to feed upon the souls of its victims. This +3 Unholy Great Sword allows the wielder to make death effect, the wielder must decide to use this ability before the attack roll is made. If the attack succeeds, the target must succeed on Fortitude save (DC 18) or die. This is a necromantic death effect usable once per day. Special: Dark Knights can use this sword as the focus for their abilities.

Armor/Shields

Spoiler:

Aegis Shield (Cost: 4,170 gil)
This shield resembles a breastplate worn by a god. It enhances the user's magical capabilities. This +1 heavy shield grants a +1 enhancement bonus to the primary spellcasting stats of its possessor. Treat the bonus as temporary for the first 24 hours the rune blade is carried. The increase to Intelligence does not grant any additional skill ranks. The increase in Wisdom does not grant any bonus on Will saves.

Elemental Shield (Cost: 25,020 gil)
These shields are made of mythril and are inlaid with a coloring of their element. This +1 heavy shield absorbs the first 10 points of energy damage per attack that the wearer would normally take and it heals the wearer for that amount. Healing that would raise your hit points beyond its maximum has no effect. If you receive damage from an opposing element you take 50% more damage.

Elemental Shield, Improved (Cost: 49,020 gil)
These shields are made of mythril and are inlaid with a coloring of their element. This +1 heavy shield absorbs the first 20 points of energy damage per attack that the wearer would normally take and it heals the wearer for that amount. Healing that would raise your hit points beyond its maximum has no effect. If you receive damage from an opposing element you take 50% more damage.

Elemental Shield, Greater (Cost: 75,020 gil)
These shields are made of mythril and are inlaid with a coloring of their element. This +1 heavy shield absorbs the first 30 points of energy damage per attack that the wearer would normally take and it heals the wearer for that amount. Healing that would raise your hit points beyond its maximum has no effect. If you receive damage from an opposing element you take 50% more damage. Elemental

Kaiser Shield (Cost: 4,170 gil)
A shield bearing the name of an ancient emperor. This +1 heavy shield boosts the damage dealt by one elemental type. The elemental effects of the affected spell adhere to the creature, causing more damage the next round. When a creature receives elemental damage from a spell, that creature takes damage equal to 2 × the spell’s actual level at the start of its next turn.

Enjoy it, it was fun creating it, just still missing some magic items that need to be done and not only priced but the creation cost associated with it.

Pathfinder LO Special Edition Subscriber

It's really, really good. Haven't had a chance to read through it all yet, but there is a lot there I can definitely use and will be using. Fantastic work.

Out of curiousity, for the various cities (Dorter, etc) did you make all that up yourself? I was paling at the thought of having to detail each but you've done a fantastic job. Bravo!

drunkontheory (at) gmail.com

I am definitely interested.

Dark Archive

Yes I made it up Aleron, the minor details of each city. Why do you think I stoped posting for a bit, fluff stuff... takes time but it has to be there such as the cities.

There is a weapon/armor chapter wich is basically all the weapons and armor available in Pathfinder.

Traits might be left as is, or might change or remove some I don't know yet, but they are goo to go for the Version 1.0 of the game, let people playtest it and send feedback.

Enjoy the reading it's pretty damn long xD

Dark Archive

I was hoping for more request on this ^^ but its ok.

Hope you guys find it good even if it's a long read, I will appreciate feedback ^^

I'd like to see the whole thing wrapped up. I don't really have time to run the games I've already got going, so I don't think I can playtest anything, but it'd be nice to see how all your hard work is turning out.

My pleasure to sent it to ya mate.

Yeah it still needs the magic item section added but all of the important things are there, so you can review it all and give me feedback.

I value all opinions and shiverscar you have been great help ^^

You got mail!

Lantern Lodge

Going through the document I am a little curious about your decision on the GP to Gil translations. What was your reasoning for the current numbers?

As it stands the translations are a little weird. Example:
[CP = Copper Piece; SP = Silver Piece; QG = Quarter Gil; HG = Half Gil]
10 CP = 10 QG and 10 QG = 5 HG

but at the same time
10 CP = 1 SP and 1 SP = 1 HG

therefor the math means that
5 HG = 1 HG

Now this makes translations really weird and awkward. How come you didn't just do a direct translation of 1 Gil = 1 CP and have the values just add the appropriate number of zeroes.
1 CP = 1 Gil
1 SP = 10 Gil
1 GP = 100 Gil
1 PP = 1000 Gil
This makes the value of the money very little, meaning high inflation, but removes all the silly translation issues.

Because he was trying to make 1 gil = 1 gold piece that way he didn't have reprice every item in the core book.

Dark Archive

To represent the coinage system and compare it to the regular Pathfinder coinage system, the following table represents accurately the exchange rate of Ikkoku:

Pathfinder (this is normally rates in pathfinder)
1 Gold Piece = 10 Silver Pieces = 100 Copper Piece
1 Silver Piece = 10 Copper Pieces
1 Copper Piece

Ikkoku (this is how it looks in Ikkoku normally)
1 Gil = 2 Half Gil
1 Half Gil = 2Quarter Gil

Ikkoku - Pathfinder (This is the for simplicity sakes direct conversion and the one encouraged to use)
1 Gil = 1 gp
1 Half Gil = 1 sp
1 Quarter Gil = 1 cp

So it might be confusion but I will try to fix it and just leave the direct conversion.

DO you wish for a copy JMD?

Just saw this post....am totally stoked about this! A while ago, some friends and I tried (unsuccessfully) to create a RPG for Tactics, and I think you managed to capture the feeling of it grandly.

I'm sure I could convince some friends to playtest this out if you would like, email is dzeke138 (at) aol (dot) com.

Deiros wrote:

I do, I just don't have the time to read it. And if I asked for a copy then I would feel obliged to read it and provide feedback which again I don't have time to do. Maybe in a bit when I have some more free time....or whenever there is a finished product whichever comes first.

Lantern Lodge

The coinage system is not confusing, it is just weird since it doesn't translate correctly. Like I said with your current conversion rates you have it so that 1 Half Gil is equal to 5 Half Gil. If you still wanted 1 Gil equal to 1 Gold then you could have it be this:
1 GP = 1 Gil
1 SP = 1 Deca-Gil
1 CP = 1 Centa-Gil

That way 10 Centa-Gil = 1 Deca-Gil and 10 Deca-Gil = 1 Gil.

Dark Archive

I named them half and quarter gil just because of the size of the coinage and the way they were going to be used as explained in the fluff text that comes with that small chapter.

I do think deca and centa gil dosen't sound bad at all, might change it to that, That is open to change to whatever suits better.

Dark Archive

Will post more magic items that I have made and I'm almost done with them.

Germinas Boots = boots of striding

That was rather simple one, but will post the otherones when I come back from work.

If there is still someone else that wants to read it give me youremails and I'll be happy to do so.

Dark Archive

Well any feedback so far from anyone?

You want a class progression to represent Orlandu?

Currently he would be just a big multiclass character maybe with Cleric 5 and Fighter 4 or straight cleric 9, dark knight 2 , holy knight 5, divine knight 4. There are feats like the Lune Knight feat that basically allows a character to use knight swords for dragoon abilities (Isilud Tengille). A feat called Holy Swordsman that could allow the wielder to bypass alignment requirements and be able to use the other sword skills.

I have been following this thread for a while at work (hence the lack of feedback as I can get in trouble for participating in message boards. reading is okay but...) I would love to try and play test this if your willing to share.

I wasn't really desiring a write up just if it would be a prestige all its own or a multi class as you did. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Dark Archive

No problems at all it was on the planning to make it a feat for someone to be able to use the other classes that require knight swords to be used.

Dark Archive

Hello all! just wondering if someone else wishes the material while I'm still playtest so you can read it or playtest and help me find errors in it. From mechanical point to grammar, suggestions are also accepted and of course IF you have a chance to review it I would be more than happy to read it.

Liberty's Edge

Hey if this is still up and running then I will gladly get in on it. My email is JTMC93@gmail.com.

Also I read on the rune blade. it seems good. Ioun Stones cost so much because they don't take up an item slot. and why not just make some of your magic item stuff just weapon enhancements?

Well, i would also like a copy. Ill feedback as i read it. Thanks for the opportunity.

Deiros, I too am very interested in this.

I'm not sure if you've ever seen this, but I'll link it since I've been holding onto it for a couple years now.

Anyhow, thanks! Looking forward to seeing your creations!

It is still up and running, check your emails gentlemen ^^ sorry for the late response but vacations and other thingies got in the way.

Wow, Deiros. I'm not sure if you snagged most of this lore from a Wiki or game-to-website site, or created it yourself.

But WHATEVER you did, even if you just re-typed it from a site, this Lore is awesome.

I applaud you. This must have taken hours. And if you CREATED this, then I'm even more amazed. FFT has been one of my favorite games since the day I got it, way back when on the PS1.

Unless I overlooked them -- and maybe it's just because you haven't gotten to them yet -- I didn't see any of the perfumes in the magic items.

Magical perfumes created by rare and exotic oils, imbued with magicka.

Anyhow, I love this stuff, man. Good job.

-VonZrucker

I would like to have a copy too, my email is:

marciofreitasx@gmail.com

I've become a big fan of this work and I'm working on archetypes and prestige classes from other final fantasy's series.

Great Great work!

Dark Archive

I'm having difficulties with magical item creation since it really isnt as easy as it looks. Most magic items like that and potions are still in the works so I cannot release something I don't even have and idea lol.

Im currently playtesting this to see how it works and if it needs any adjustments so far before continuing the work, I encourage all people with copy to try it out and test it yourselves. If you tweek it somehow tell me why this is important since its something for the enjoyment of the community and credit will be given ^^

Thank you for the encouragement VonZrucker

Wow, just saw this and am really interested in what you are doing with it. Would love to take a gander.

Figured should toss an update here. Started a mini campaign using parts of it. We've done around 4-5 sessions now. The players are really enjoying it.

The first thing I altered was faith/brave I admit. Not that it isn't balanced as you currently have it (definitely a double edged sword though), but it was a headache to try keep in mind so I gave it a drop.

I only have two players so I also added an npc White Mage (Sorc with Bloodline I posted awhile back) to fill out the ranks (their sister in game). Completely support based and she is...well very, very effective. I have a feeling I'm going to need to nerf the Bloodline somehow. Also, I regret ever giving her haste. The first time she cast it on the party they literally whooped with delight an proceeded to wipe the floor with whatever I had thrown at them. Regardless, she is far from optimized and using NPC stats and still does her job way too well.

I still have a lot to fill in, but it is going well. Generally I think most things work pretty well. I've only created a few custom magical items here or there but I might give them a post later.

Dotted.

I am interested in reading what you have done with the system.

So if you could send it to me at :

It would be greatly appreciated.
