Time for more avatars?

I was recently noticing the lack of good choices for Halfling avatars when creating an alias for a play by post game. A suggestion would be to create avatars from the various races of Golarion books. Any chance of that?

More avatars are always good - I've also noticed a distinct lack of decent Mwangi choices too...

Hear hear!

Actually, it's half past time for more avatars.

Additional avatars are definitely on the to-do list. We have a bit of catching up to do since we've put out quite a bit of stuff since the last avatars were added, but I think this will happen in the near future. :)

More avatars, yes please.

You only have 3 whole APs worth of content to add, it can be too bad, right? ;)

Seriously I hope that this gets some priority. As a PbP GM I was very upset that there were no avatars for the NPCs from Serpent's Skull AP — especially the absolutely gorgeous illustrations of Chivane and Kasatta from the covers.

I'd love some new avatars from Carrion Crown.

Agree on more avatars - there's been a ton of AP, supplements and PFS materials that have had fantastic art and avatar potential...

Ulfen avatars please...

@ Chris: By late August when I start my pbp game would be sweet lol

I would also humbly request that some sort of division of the available avatars into folders or categories could be made. It's 35 pages now, and it's getting hard to find...

^ Agreed. Sorting them by AP in particular would be great.

Maybe there could be some kind of tagging system so they could be sorted several different ways? Otherwise, by race and gender would also be useful.

Yeah, we do plan on organizing the avatars in some fashion. No promises as to when that might be done though.

Shadow Lodge

I kind of like that that the more commonly used ones are harder to find, it makes it so there is more diversity. Another 500 icons or so would make things even more diverse though ;)

Yes, more avatars. I came in to being just because this avatar was available.

Grand Lodge

Yes, please. Maybe something nice, in green?

It isn't easy being green.

I'm more concerned with the number of people who use duplicate avatars of other posters. There are a couple that use mine and a few that use TOZ's that I've noticed specifically.

Liberty's Edge

The lack of a Seltyiel icon is sad times T_T

Well, it's not like you own them... But an option to upload your own original avatar could be nice.

Not that I have changed my Avatar since I first chose it (and I still have no idea who he is), but the duplicate avatar issue has got much better over the years. Initially, the number was small enough that you would get used to one prolific poster and often see another in the thread and initially wonder "Why would ... say that?" As others have said, more avatars are always good.

You could use some more paper mini avatars...

:D :D :D

Moar avatars!

That would be very much appreciated.

And more avatars please.

Any more bids for more avatars?

I would love to get an avatar from this image. Especially the one receding in the background...

Paizo has said they would like to control what avatars are out there for public viewing. I would however, like to get an elder blue dragon that Paizo actually owns, ...if only I could find one.. I think there is one fighting Ezren in one of my books...

Hi, new on the forum here. I made this picture of the Pathfinder Iconics in pixel version, and someone suggested in another thread to use them as avatars, and that this is the right thread to ask for this.

Pixelated Iconics

Feedback on the pic appreciated.

Pixel Cube, you sir, are a genius. Welcome to the forums.

Now we needs an 8-bit Pathfinder video game, pronto.

Oh, and could we get some more avatars, please? Preferable ones with sharp teeth?

Funny thing is, I am working on a pathfinder computer game. But if their is no interest, I may drop the project and move on to my own RPG system.

And yes, I would appreciate more avatars and a system to filter them.

That's very interesting... If the pixelated art style suits your game, consider me a possible contributor. Good luck on your project!

Actually, we have seen your pixel iconics, and we think they're awesome! Unfortunately, we currently are not including fan art into our avatar library. This is because of the potential influx of fan artists asking for us to add their artwork to library, which we can't accommodate at this time.

Spoiler:
The Seoni is beyond awesome! Her thighs are extremely befitting! :)

I'm a programmer, not an artist. and when I do draw it's drawn well, but looks like it was done by a machine.

*cough cough let us upload our own avatars cough save yourself the nonsense cough cough*

The pixel iconics are incredible. I love them so much. Valeros looks so naive and the Witch (Feiya?) looks extremely cheeky.

Divying them up by categories like;

Humans
Elves
Dwarves
Dragons
Animals
Monsters
Miniatures
Cartoons
Wesley Crusher

could be neat. I'd love to be able to 'sort out' all of the non-humanoid avatars when I'm looking for a PBP character headshot, for instance.

+1 for more avatars.

More Ulfen
More Dwarves.
More Gnomes.
More Halflings.
More Male Varisians.
More Female Fighter Types.
More Iconics.
More pictures from the books. Like the APs (esp the covers), the Game Mastery Guide, and others.

Well that's too bad, but I understand the issue. Thanks anyway!

BTW very nice photos on your flickr profile. I especially like the Blues Fire Show ones

I love them. Only problem is I can's see Seelah's face. Black on dark brown is very hard to differentiate. It looks like on big dark brown blob. Lightening her skin or the features would be nice.

Aww, thank you! :)

i agree on the halfling front, more pics with massive mutton chops!!!

Wow. Very cool, particularly for an old school 8 bit gamer like myself.

Sufficiently good for me to mark it as a favourite. :)

If I had one nit to pick, it's that I have a bit of trouble making out the details of Seelah's head and of the rear quarters of the summoner's eidolon, due to the similar colours, but that could just be a result of whatever the contrast settings on my computer are....

I now have an 8-bit Pathfinder desktop background.

Many thanks, Pixel Cube.
