Slim pickings in Words of Power

Rules Questions

Does anyone else think it's kind of sad that there are only two 7th level effect words for a cleric or oracle? I was thinking of making a Words of Power oracle and I noticed there were pretty slim pickings at that level. At least they could have tossed in a Holy-Word-equivalent and maybe a Repulsion-equivalent...

Slim pickings is that there's no Heal equivalent in the line-up at all. At the same time, the open slots are useful for more than just the new effect level, as the real power in WoP is the ability to mix and match. Being able to throw out a triple effect wordspell is pretty potent for a standard action. Realistically, that's what I really view those top spell slots as rather than as "ooh, shiny new spells" slots.

I think we're talking about two slightly different things. I agree that an oracle could use the spell slots for metamagicked/combined Words; it's the "spells known" that would be partially wasted.
