How many monsters are in the Isles of the shackles?
I'm not sure about the final product, but my turnover had 15 new monsters (3 of those with variants), in addition to several pirate NPCs and undead pirates.

I know the AP doesn't release until March, but is there any chance of releasing the Players' Guide early?Practically none. As I understand it, the Players' Guides are usually still being written and are not ready to be relesaed until about the same time as the first volume of the AP is done.. this, in part, because the later parts of the AP are still being worked on, and changes there can cause changes in the content of the Players' Guide.
Correct; the Player's Guides are not only not generally finished until the last minute, but are part of our "launch celebration" of an AP. They not only prepare players for an AP, but help to build excitement about them. Releasing an AP months, or even weeks early would stunt that excitement.

Not in this AP. Lirgen was in what is now the Sodden Lands, and Skull & Shackles is pretty much firmly set in the Shackles.Are we going to learn anything more about Lirgen, Lergeni astrology or the Saoc Brethren?
Understood that, but as they send groups from time to time to investigate the Eye, I was hoping that maybe some would be encountered. Ah, well...
