"Under a Dread Flag": Pretty good, but evokes a "Dread Pirate Roberts" type thing in my mind which undermines it a bit.

In the interest of seeing more verbs in AP titles, I nominate "Hoist the Black Flag".

Blood and Treasure.

The Devil's Deep Blue Sea

The Storm Queen's Lot

Driftwood

Writ of Mark

Besmara's Locker

Seastorm

Isletaker (that's a joke, get it?)

Together We Shall Die

Captain Shadow

Existing pirate-book titles for inspiration:

The Many-Headed Hydra
Villains of All Nations

Suggestion from my brother, who provided the above book titles to me as well:

A Merry Life, but a Short One.

More from my Bro. He works on a pirate game for a living!

"The Butcher's Bill"
a term used to describe the casualty list after a battle

"Admiral of the Black"

Cutthroats and Cutlasses
The Hottest Blood of All

Grand Lodge

I have given this a great deal of thought and I have THE perfect title for a pirate AP...

Plunder the Pirate Queen's Booty!

Is that not sheer poetry or what?

Now that's a title I can get behind!

Sooo who do we want to see in the artwork for this..Merisiel obviously(she'd make a great Pirate Queen) but who else.

Masters of the Mizzen Mast

If there is an important ship, perhaps one the players at first seek to commandeer and then control for the rest of the AP, that could work as a title.

Queen Abrogail's Revenge
The Flying Taldan

Balazar and his eidolon, Alhazra, and Harsk. I could also see Captain Seltyiel as a possibility.

More from the bro:

Letters of Mark should be Letters of Marque!

Thunder and Smoke
Let Fly
Hoist the Black
One Man's Mutiny...
Articles of Plunder
Of Blood and Brine
Hold Fast

I'm going to be the bigger man and turn the other cheek.

This next one is pretty good, and it goes out to my boy O.B.L. :

Watery Grave

Silver Crusade

I start a forum stating Skull and Crossbones was too generic, and what happens, I'm corrected as to the name (Skull and Bones) but it may get changed to Skull and Crossbones anyway.

I swear, my wife must have but James Jacobs up to this. (She'll change her mind just to prove she can too, and do it in a way to point out my mistakes.)

Slightly more seriously

1. Skull and Crossbones is much better than Skull and Bones. I honestly saw another thread with "pirates" and "Skull and Bones" and read it as "Crossbones," hence the original post.

2. Skull and Bones to me is the Yale "society" that George Bush and John Kerry were both part of.

3. Crossbones, or Pale/Shackled/Bloody/insert other adjective Crossbones to me is less generic than Skull and Crossbones.

4. Of the above, I like Letters of Marque (if it fits), and Hoist the Black Flag. Hoist the Crossbones has a pirate ring and isn't quite as generic as Skull and Crossbones.

Ahoy, swabbies!

So, after some chatting around with folks here, and after remembering that the flag for the Shackles, where this AP will be set, does NOT have the classic Jolly Roger design, we've got our final title for the AP.

It's gonna be this:

"Skull and Shackles" Adventure Path.

This covers the piraty feel to it, but in a way that's uniquely and indisputably Golarion. I suspect the choice will also make a certain mouthy bag of devouring all happy and chatty too! :-)

Also nice that "Skull and Shackles" brings up only one hit on Google, and that's not even for a title. (Although it's a kinda spooky Google hit...)

So, yeah.

Skull and Shackles AP. Coming Next February.

AND: Thanks a million to everyone on this thread for helping out with figuring out the final title! Good times! :-D

I just posted this same basic info to a sticky post at the top of this forum (I'll unsticky it in a few weeks or whatever once it's no longer necessary), and lock this thread since it did its job admirably. Thanks again, all!
